I would certainly have no problem with the Rockies winning it all*, but after what happened with the Tigers last year with their near sweep through the pennant playoffs followed by a long rest period before the WS, I'm a bit more hesitant to put my money on them going all the way, though it would be amazing to see them possibly become the first team to sweep through the playoffs since the DS started (and only the second team since the '76 Reds to sweep through the playoffs since the LCS started) *albeit moreso if Boston fails to make the WS, which unfortunately creates a conundrum for me because I'd like to see the Indians (especially Lofton) get a championship as well

Hey, stop hitting the ball to Cabrera

Apparently Lucas and Spielberg designed the sequel

You can't make fun of Dane Cook without doing the quick-turn-to-camera bit

Speaking of riding, weren't you riding the Colts bandwagon pretty hard last January, Cowboy#s?

If the Rockies win tomorrow they would be the first team to sweep through the league playoffs since the Division Series inception

Saints, 28 Seahawks, doesn't matter 'cause they're not sackin' the Brees

Oh yeah, there's a game tonight!

Splitting hairs, but looking at the PBP it was six outs. The Angels scored all three runs and took the lead before getting any outs in the bottom of the eighth Of course that doesn't excuse the Giants' bats suddenly falling silent, going hitless in the 8th and 9th

Maybe next time twistedmind disappears he can take gary floyd with him

Would've been nice if they switched to that after the GB game ended I swear the "rules" regarding game-switching seem so damn arbitrary sometimes

I want to fall in love with AD, but having witnessed his career at OU I worry that his glass figure is going to show up anytime and he'll become a RB version of Chad Pennington
-
Also, while I'm sure you've documented your opinions on the subject before, what is your feeling about the wild-card, especially considering all save one WS this decade has featured a WC team

I'll admit sometimes I'm not very good at "reading between the lines", so all I see there is "The 1997 World Series sucked", which it did... a lot... and for several different reasons, so while I'm sure there are reasons to "slug Bob Costas", that excerpt there doesn't incite such sentiment
-
Seriously, read the prologue of "Fair Ball" and tell me you don't want to slug Bob Costas. Can you summarize that for those of us who lack access (and/or desire) to a copy?

Only twenty-seven other teams to go!

That's what you get for trying to blow us all up

A positive I'm trying to hunt for re: Baker as Reds' manager is that if they still suck with him at the helm, it won't be much of a change However, many of the points already listed concern me greatly as far as the long-term team status, especially the inability to produce good young talent and the general anti-discipline he brings with him.

"I don't get it... we moved the start to Wednesday, that was supposed to solve everything!"

I dunno, man... the rope just got around my neck somehow, guy...

I prefer the mid you west

Please no... then they might actually become good again

I don't think the fact that America stole Britain's worst show exactly works in its favour! One funny (in a cringing sort of way) thing AI started is that it's apparently now a prerequisite that every single American "talent competition" show's judging panel include a smarmy Englishman

Thanks for giving us American Idol, btw Assholes
