Voices I liked: Wakka (John Dimaggio, aka Bender, one of my fav cartoon characters ever) Jecht (Greg Berger, aka Cornfed, Orson, Agent K) Cid (Mike McShane, that really big guy from old "Whose Line..." episodes) Voices I really didn't like: Rikku (Tara Strong, aka Bubbles from PPG, 'nuff said) Tidus (some dude, dunno what else he's done, don't care) I did think Yuna's VA (Hedy Burress) did a fine job capturing Yuna's innocence and idealism (for the portion I played) in FFX, but I can't see the same voice behind the now rebellious and free-spirited Yuna

Also, neither are very appealing to the eyes

^ Or before they had purple horseshoes?

Whoops, almost ended up posting this myself (since no one had gotten around to it) Noon games here are Philly-Dallas and Indy-Tenn 3PM is KC-Denver I'm going to a football party today at work (at least I think so, it may have been denied by da boss at the last minute) and hence you won't get to enjoy my presence today

Headline in this morning's Wichita paper: "OU HAD BETTER BELIEVE IT!" It's a keeper

Post of the day Okay, maybe not, but I had a good laugh at this

I think Dama doubled his post count last night

When would you say Zappa's prime was? Early 70's or later 70's?
-
That happens to me sometimes, except that I actually wake up
-
You should apply that to all your responses Yes. Is it that hard for you to understand?

This is moreso because the BCS has its ass saved by managing to still have an undefeated team when all is said and done. Imagine what would've happened in '00 or '01, if the undefeated team lost in the big title game to the 1-loss team chosen by the BCS (FSU, Nebraska), and the 1-loss team that got punked out of that game (Miami, Oregon) could have been voted as AP champions. Well, this is essentially what we're seeing now, except even worse, since there is no undefeated team now. There are three 1-loss teams, two will go to the big game and one will be on the outside, and if the outside team wins their bowl game they could be voted AP champion, and thus we have our nightmare scenario.
-
Well, you figure for the most part, unless it's a universally shitty year, the 8-seed team will still only be a 2-loss team, and in order to win they'd first have to beat the best team in the nation, then beat two more good teams, and if they do that, I'd say they earned it. This argument is nullified by the existence of playoffs in all other facets of football (the other NCAA divisions, high school, pro, pee-wee, etc.) Division I-A is probably THE only football group in the US that does not decide a championship with a playoff system

Okay, here's what I pieced together from memory and reading around and such. Contributions to incomplete portions are appreciated I: Garland -> Fiends -> Garland again-> Chaos II: The Emperor III: No idea IV: Baron -> Golbez -> Zemus V: Exdeath VI: Kefka (Empire plays relatively minor role in the first half, but you know Kefka is the STAR) VII: Sephiroth (see VI, replace "Empire" with "Shinra") VIII: Seifer -> Ultimecia IX: Kuja (I'm not counting Necron, no way) X: Sin -> ? (I've heard about the segue into something else, but I never played the full game) X2: No idea

16 teams to me is a bit much for a playoff, especially given the dropoff after you escape the top 5 or so. 8 teams is fine enough a playoff for me

I'll catch those refugees for ya...

I'd still like to see those "Sakura as SM" pictures

KSU winning + KU losing = a VERY good day

I've had a beard for four months now, and have always had some form of facial hair over the last four years, which is enough to cover twenty finals Get it straightened at a salon. I have naturally wavy long hair, and hated to wear it out, usually gelling it back in a pony tail, otherwise hair would be poofy and weight my head down. After getting it straightened a couple months ago, I can wear it down all the time without gel (which is a miracle for me), and it weights a lot less now
-
The only difference between this year and 2001 is there's no undefeated team to save the BCS' collective ASS now
-
Definitely looks interesting and potentially worth checking out, even for a GC-less person like myself (though I've pondered getting one for things like SCII and LOZ:WW) Side note: SO3, who's the girl in your sig? I'm intrigued

Bold and beautiful, just like me

The sweet smell of vindication fills the air as the ghost of 2000 is laid to rest. Next up: 1998. I have a few things to say about this, for sure... To the Bowl Selection Team: Two big middle fingers in the air, because you'll not be screwing KSU out of a big bowl game this year. To the BCS: A big laugh, because the nightmare scenario is ON To Rob E: Let's celebrate To Mammogram-aramu: I try not to be a big shit talker when it comes to games, so instead I'll leave you with some words of wisdom... ...well, maybe they're too wise for you... KSU 2003 BIG XII CHAMPIONS!

I have two arguments for LSU over USC, namely their stronger schedule and loss to a better team (ranked Florida versus unranked Cal) and if they repeat over Georgia tonight then they should be in the title game. On the other hand, as I've said, I think it's you-know-what that it can come down to all the indirect factors, like a game between two sub-.500 teams
-
Okay, I lied, as it took me much quicker to get home than expected and the game isn't on for another 20 mins KSU has given OU three tough hard-fought wins in the last three years, and I think again that Snyder will give OU a run for their money, win or lose. Again, go Wildcats
