When I first went to this kind of site (back in 1997), it said I had 67 years to live Now it's telling me I have... 67 years to live I'm gonna live forever!

Interesting read, Triple R I half followed UFC back in the mid-90's (courtesy of my wrestling coach, who was friends with Severn) and even in my only-minorly-knowing-any-martial-arts, something struck me as not right about him. And I hated him in the WWF, but that's a different story Edit: Now that I think about it, Shamrock was heavily promoted in UFC because he had a "look" and could talk.... sounds like some other promotion we all know, hmmm

What? I thought a penis suplex was just suplexing someone using their penis Granted, that would require a great amount of strength on the part of the suplexer and an extremely high threshold of pain for the other guy... Side note: I wonder if Foley ever tried to get anyone to do this to Chyna

The other big college sports have playoffs. Hell, the sub-D1 divisions have football playoffs, which in itself renders most any argument against a D1 system useless ("it takes players out of academics","it's inconvenient to schedule", etc.) If it's just about the money, I wish they'd come out and say it already, but for some reason big-name organizations/people have an aversion to being honest about economic motivations. I feel the opposite way. Teams have to worry about going undefeated to win a national championship, and if they lose, they can pretty much assume it's over, unless there are no undefeated teams at the end of the season, but that's putting your fate into the hands of other people... kinda like the BCS, hmmm... Plus what I don't like when they rank teams of the same loss count, it's typically in ascending order from "who lost most recently" and goes up from there, hence the "early loss, late loss" problem (although USC and LSU's losses were too close together for this to be a factor) Plus, a playoff would prevent a team from running up the table on a weakass schedule (a la last year's Luckeyes) to make it into the one championship game. They'd have to beat two or three (depending on layout) of the best teams in the nation rather than just a one game playoff and earn their championship It may never happen, but that don't mean I'm not gonna fight for it

I forgot about that "still can have split champions" thing... hell, I never knew that was possible until two years ago It is so funny how the BCS was supposedly enacted to prevent such things. They are extremely lucky to have had one lone undefeated team every year since the BCS inception (UT, FSU, OU, Miami and OSU) and thus avoid that, but if they have a scenario with two one loss teams in the champ game and a third one loss team looking from the outside, there's still that possibility, among others Pst... playoffs... you know you want them

Negative Here're the bowls they've been in since the inception of the BCS system 2002 - Holiday - Arizona State W 34-27 - KSU was 10-2 before this game, but didn't make the Big XII title game because of loss to Colorado, but they deserved a much higher bowl than this 2001 - Insight.com - Syracuse 26, Kansas State 3 - KSU was 6-5 pre-bowl, they were lucky to even make a bowl this year, a close loss to OU near the beginning of the season sent the 'Cats spiraling down to mid-card level 2000 - Cotton - Kansas State 35, Tennessee 21 - No complaint here (neener to Discojunge, hehe). 10-3 pre-bowl here with two close hard fought losses to national champs OU. 1999 - Holiday - Kansas State 24, Washington 20 - KSU was 11-1 pre-bowl this year, with the one loss to Nebraska, thus locking them out of the Big XII title game. Again, you'd think a good record like this would merit at least a NYD invite, if BCS isn't possible, but nope. 1998 - Alamo - Purdue 37, Kansas State 34 - This is the one that will bitterly sit in my memory for the rest of my sporting life. KSU beats Nebraska for the first time in 30-some-odd years, then goes undefeated into the title game against A&M, loses on a bogus TD call in OT, then gets dumped past the BCS bowls AND past the NYD bowls, all the way to this bowl here. This combined with the Vikings '98 season makes this time period a big black hole in my memory.

Ever have someone tape over any good wrestling?

CO's mom: "Okay, (CO's sister's name), it's time for the birthday girl to blow out the candles!" <everyone sings "Happy Birthday", camera pans crowd, including young CO in a He-Man shirt> <quick cut away> "DECISIONS! RESOLUTION TO RECTIFY THE INQUISITIONS THAT LIE WITHIN, MY WARRIORS! CONFIDE IN ME YOUR CONFIDENCE! I HAVE COME TO DO NO ONE NO HARM!" <quick cut back> <CO's sister blows out the candles, and CO climbs up to the top of the fridge and does a swanton into the cake> -
I seriously had only one arcade around here, didn't begin gaming until 93 or so, and that one arcade (currently shut down) didn't really keep any old stuff around except for pinball games and Pac-Man. Although before I was officially a gamer, we had a roller rink (also shut down now) that had some good stuff for the time, like Toobin', Moonwalker, Robotron, Joust and Defender. No Gauntlet that I remember, though. Gees, where're you from again?

a couple pages ago, I said something along the lines of how I could see, given the bowl system's history of screwing over KSU on bowls, how the BCS would horribly gyp KSU out of a BCS bowl game even if they were to win the Big XII

Remember how they supposedly cut up the mat from WMXII into itty-bitty pieces to sell as a commemoration to Michaels' title win, and they'd sell it with the famous pic of Michaels on his knees with the belt? "Own a piece of history! The same mat on which Shawn Michaels realized his boyhood dream!" I wonder if there were any other possible selling points to that "Own a piece of history! The same mat on which the Warrior squashed Triple H in 30 seconds!" or "Own a piece of history! The same mat on which Roddy Piper stripped Goldust down to almost nothing!"

Maybe not, but I'm remembering it through my 12 y/o mark eyes than my 23 y/o smark eyes Ditto. The long raised ramps were the shit-and-a-half

I swear, they did not utilize the pool enough (as much as they should have) on those Spring Break shows Or the god damn ocean... I do recall Luger and Savage wrestling in the ocean once though... WWE needs to steal that... I remember when they were hyping the "Falls Count Anywhere on the Gulf Coast" match between Sting and Foley at BB'92, I was making jokes that the match would wind up on the beach Disappointingly, not only did the match not leave the arena, it didn't even leave the ring entrance...

I'd be curious to see the one at SBI again if only for the fact that I want to hear that theme he used for most of '91 in WCW before getting booted... I believe it was the only time in his NWA/WCW career that he didn't come out to "Also Sprach Zarathustra"

The first match in Japan or the second match at Superbrawl I? Or both?

I thought this was weird too... it's been said countless times, I'm sure, but I would've thought the face Austin would go over and get his ultimate revenge on Trips for what he did. When Austin lost, he just seemed to forgot what Trips did and said "oh well,... now, about that title shot..."

A vigil for an accused pedophile? That's pathetic. Don't you know your accused (guilty or not) average joe child molester would have a vigil as well? Of course, those are people wanting to castrate, crucify, burn and otherwise torture said molester -
I've heard Zyb...Zyb...ah fuck it. I've heard Larry bashed A LOT, for various different reasons. His attempting to sue Jericho for the Living Legend name was one, and also because he supposedly got the title in the AWA by sleeping with the boss's daughter (or something along those lines). I dunno if Vern Gagne had a daughter, but if she existed and looked anything like Vern and/or Greg, I'd stay away
