I'm not so sure about that... it seems strangely ironic that back in "the day", playing to the crowd was a huge deal. Faces were supposed to get the crowd cheering, while heels needed to get crowds riled up, and crowds were typically hot throughout entire shows. As opposed to today, where wrestlers don't seem to play to crowds at all... like they're wrestling in a vacuum where the crowd doesn't exist, and so they wonder why fans sit on their hands for 95% of an event now.

I've never been good at or big on fighters, personally... first off, as someone who has been a wrestler and been involved with "competition," so to speak, it seems so much easier to rip actually rip a guy's head off in person rather than in game form when you have to press "down, down, toward, down, quarter-circle forward, 360 circle around, yank joystick out, put it back in, masturbate on the machine, fierce punch, high kick, urinate, left, right, left, right, B, A, start" in order to do the same thing, and if you don't input the commands just right, you get nothing... Maybe I'm just uncoordinated though... it seems like combos are nigh impossible for me to get a hang of, and an expert arcade fighter lives and dies by combos. Okay, that I can agree with, I can still play those, but then again, compared to 32-bit RPGs and beyond, those are hardly time consuming at all (to me)

I find the junction system makes the game a lot less time consuming than most other RPGs. Since your level doesn't matter you can get great stats just by drawing the right stuff and have to fight minimal random battles. When I play I can go through a lot of disc 2 and all of disc 3 and 4 without doing random battles yet still have powerful stats. That rules. I did forget to mention the junction system in my previous rant too... trying to figure out whether it was better to meld deity A with random character B or clichéd warrior #3 was too much for me although, by my own admittance, my amount of free time and patience have steadily dwindled down over the years, while in the mid-90's you almost never saw me playing anything but console RPGs, now I've shifted more over to the "quicker high" of action games and FPS. Although I do like the recent slew of PC DnD games (BG series, NWN)

I fall into that "hated FF8 group" myself. First, I hated the concept of "drawing" magic, too time consuming even for a f'kin console RPG And then the salary system... what the hell? I always heard people telling me "Now it's finally like real life: No more monsters unfathomably carrying currency around." ...except that it's a game... I don't want real life invading my games, dammit. Besides, what the hell job pays you to run around aimlessly in a field waiting for your next paycheck to come rolling in? Maybe a farmer, but even then you still have to produce something If I wanted a game like real life, I'd go play, I dunno, Wall Street Kid or something like that...

Mild rant, but I never understood the whole WW(W)F instituted rule of escaping the cage. First, it doesn't make sense from a wrestling story standpoint... "I hate you so much that I wanna kick your ass inside a steel cage... and then I'm climb gonna over the top or out the front to escape from you... because I hate you!" And just in case someone doesn't know how this match turned out Spoiler (Highlight to Read): In the Sammartino-Zybyzsko match... I thought these guys really hated each other (by kayfabe anyway), and then Sammartino escapes the cage but Zybyzsko is still standing and appears to have plenty of energy left... it would've made perfect sense for Larry to chase right after Sammartino outside after the match was over, even if he did lose Second, it's not even kayfabed right, since each guy hates the other so much that they want to kill each other, yet they both always have enough energy to escape at near the same time, with one guy just barely making it out before the other Give me the match where they fight inside the steel cage until the bitter end, not just fight for a little while and then escape from the other guy.

I don't get it. I even double checked by online searching, and my PowerDVD doesn't look anything like what I'm seeing help images for Example: My config menu has two rows of tabs instead of one, and the general tab does not have the advanced controls to allow screen capture Yet the About file says "Version 4.0" on it, but this doesn't look like it. Did I get screwed or something?

Regarding hate crime itself, I personally think assault and murder are just that, plain and simple, whether it's for reasons involving someone's race or wanting someone's money or revenge or whatever, as the label of hate crime does nothing but cloud up all interracial crimes, whether hate motivated or not (ex: if a black man attacks a family member of mine and I track him down and get revenge, I don't want the fact that I'm white and he's black be the deciding factor since I would've hunted him down no matter what his race) As for the sentence itself, if it were actually 8 years, I'd say that would be fine, but since the served time always seems to be half of the sentence for relatively lesser crimes (i.e. sentenced for 10 years, only serve 5), then a sentence of 15 years would've been better suited for this

Well excuse them for being smarter and more technologically advanced. I also love how people act like old settlers had control over a microorganism like smallpox, as if it was some Pokemon that could be summoned... "Smallpox, I choose you! Infection attack on the natives!" "Smallpox! smallpox!" And spare me the "infected blankets" scenario. There's no way that Europeans would have tried to control smallpox back in the days well before the vaccination had been found. Any attempt to create blankets would have harmed as many Euros as it would natives. Besides, the natives gave Euros syphillis. Who really got the raw deal on that one?

That's pretty much how I feel And even if the natives had fought off Euro-Whitey, who's to say they wouldn't have fallen to some other roaming empire later on, like if Japan decided to come over and conquer from the pacific side, for example. There have always been "bitch" civilizations that fall to other more powerful civilizations. Of course, in today's feel-good revisionist history ideology, this is a very bad thing. Conquering others is bad and evil, though I find it funny no one is calling for Macedonia to apologize to the Middle East for Alexander the Great, or for Rome to apologize to Tunisia for the Punic Wars or some bullshit like that. Of course, those nations don't have any money to help "soothe victim's pain" either.

Playing with DVD-Drive on computer. And print screen doesn't work with DVD players, I've tried. I read somewhere it has to do with the fact that the DVD-playing image isn't actually on the screen, so the computer doesn't "see" it when you try a basic screen capture... I've heard there's software you need to do this, and that's what I'm asking for And that still doesn't answer how to get soundbites either
