Something ironic I think about... It's been documented on more than enough occasions about Vince's hoss love... But in 1996, Vince got a man who the majority of smarks agree was a hoss who could actually work well and be entertaining... Vader. He started off strong, with a nice debut at RR'96, and then attacking "President" Gorilla Monsoon the next night on RAW to show he was the guy who took no shit, thus seemingly continuing his WCW monster character... but from there it went downhill real fast. So what happened? Doesn't Vince love pushing hosses to the moon? And the WCW home-grown reason doesn't seem to fit, since Paul Wight is a WCW-born wrestler too and he got a lot more chances/shots (including two short world title reigns)

Planning on how to build a more efficient crack pipe, no doubt

What was that? I wasn't reading your post... I hate you...

*slays the slayer* Wow, I do not give myself enough credit sometimes </jimrome> Seriously though, all I hear about Branch from her fans is their trying to separate her from the diva-style singers, most notable the big two (you know who I mean) Now, while she can play guitar (maybe other instruments, I dunno) and doesn't use synthed samples like divas, her music is just as simple, just as bubble-gum, just as over-produced, and just as lyrically shallow as a turd-filled kiddie pool

Math owns That is all

On my own side note, Michelle Branch may not be totally unattractive, but her music sucks deez nutz

Throw my name on the "was working" list Though if I wasn't, I probably would've been here, because I do suck (after all, I'm posting thisn on SATURDAY night)

Next thing you know, we'll see the school with no floor, and all the kids will be held in place with magnets

When I was a freshman in HS (1994), I wrote a six part story about a teenage serial killer who, well, killed his classmates (I was smart enough to not use real names, but the characterizations were there)... I don't remember how I ended it, probably some lame suicide copout ending... but while my teacher commented about the violent nature of this, that was it. Just a comment, and nothing more. Although I did initially have Columbine-esque fantasies towards the dicks of my school back in the day, but I didn't do anything (largely because I'm lazy and I eventually stopped caring) Of course, if I submitted such a story today, I'd end up lobotomized, castrated and sedated, but we know how it is today

Does it have a ceiling?

the funny thing about that was how the other day I saw on TV (can't remember for life of me where) something about Sgt. Slaughter, and specifically his heel turn in '90-'91. They ran with the claim about how the heat and threats were the reason for the move from the LASC to the less impressive LASA So it's still alive and well apparently...

<little counter appears in corner of screen saying "1"> "I don't think you heard me quite right... I said 'shit'... on television"

Apparently your school really is bad if you can't spell "worst" As for the other stuff, well... that happens... but misspellings cannot be forgiven

Sure, it was filled with columnists who didn't exist, interviews that were entirely made up, used stupid terms like "fan-favorite" and "rulebreaker" when "face" and "heel" are just as easy to explain and easier to type and don't sound as stupid, and they had awards that were clearly fixed (Dusty more popular than Hogan in '87? Hah) But, there were some strange times when they broke kayfabe and actually reported incidinces that surprised me. For example, without them I never would have known about the Arn-Sid scissors incident or the Orndorff-Vader brawl. Now you could say "What about reading the Observer?", but how did one find out about the Observer in the pre-net boom days? I couldn't find the Observer on my grocery store magazine rack (where I spent a great deal of my childhood reading at, but that is another story) And I didn't get on the net until 97, and even then it was a year or so before smarkness set in (though I was a big heel mark even as a young kid, so I think in that way I was destined for smarkness) So, anyway, share your thoughts, jokes, whatever about the Apter Mags.

Holy shit, deja vu... he even worded his question like mine <reads your long post> Holy shit again, that does make a lot of sense... but where'd you get all that backstage info?
-
Yes, it has probably been done before, but I don't care State your real name (last name optional): My name is Drew, and I am a smark...

Speaking of 1979-1980 NFL, the team that beat the Bucs in that NFC title game, the '79 Rams, would have to be on this same list... the only team so far with a single digit regular season record (9-7) to ever make it to the Super Bowl, and they nearly beat the same Steeler team that had won 3 SBs in the previous 5 years...

Another reason why the weight issue would be bullshit is because other hosses like Mark Henry and Paul Wight have done nothing but balloon up in the past five years, yet they're still not only employed, but have maintained mid/upper-card pushes at the same time

Probably won't be near as interesting as the painful sports memories threads though It's your highest time as a sports fan... when did you get to see your sports team walk away in the end with their respective championship trophy? And I personally only want to hear about teams of which you are a direct fan of, not when you rooted for another team because of other reasons, such as Yankee-haters cheering on Arizona in the '01 WS, or Bruins fans rooting for Colorado in '01 (not to hate on you Boston, I love you, really) Mine: MLB - Cincy, led by Jose Rijo and Chris Sabo, pulls off the major upset in the '90 WS. NHL - Devils pull off major upset bits against favored Detroit in '95 and defending champ Dallas in '00 and barely escape upset bid by Anaheim this year College Basketball - Glen Rice plays like a monster in the '89 tourney and leads Michigan to the Final Four title College Football - Brian Griese and Charles Woodson lead Michigan to a share of the '97 national title (sparing the conspiracy theories about Nebraska not deserving their share)

I just caught this now, right as I'm about to take off for the night If no one has responded with the answer by tomorrow, I'll help you again.

Source Shame. I enjoyed him on that show. RIP

I know we're only five games through, but who're your thoughts on MVP as of this point And where can I find stats for the WS... the two sites I go to have stats for the entire postseason, but none for just the WS

Goddamn those fucking Yankees are like Jason and Freddy... they just won't die
