Although I was only half paying attention due to the jubilation of the Sox victory, I too thought it was a harmless fist pumping in the air like most pitchers do when they close out the game on a win (see: Troy Percival after the final out in last years WS)

I thought it was only pronounced "Throatwobbler Mangrove", Mr. Raymond Luxury Yacht...

Not the solution (I'm not doing the whole thing for you, heh), but a little push to help you on your way. You can see the upper function is defined for all possible values of x and y except at (0,0), but with the piecewise addition defining a value of 0 at (0,0), you need to show that lim f(x,y) = 0 (x,y)->0 If it is, it's continuous on the entire graph, if not, then it's continuous everywhere except (0,0) Angelslayer: Resident Above-Average Math Major

Well, they eat, shit, sleep a lot and cost money to support So really kids and pets are just about the same

How long until the 'E' forms the Village People 2K3?

That's quite a coup there When would the deadline be for submission for MNR?

That's right up there with "The greatest match with Shawn Michaels jumping onto Ric Flair on a table" from another thread

While watching today's MLB game and hearing the commentators talk about salaries, a question popped in my head. When pro athletes get paid, do they get checks/direct-deposits bi-weekly or monthly like you and I, or do they get one or two payments a year, or is it just a whole 'nother system entirely?

This relates both to the online shopping topic, and in general the best ways to prevent identity theft 1. Order only from the big reputable sites with secure ordering 2. If your CC issuer has a website, use it regularly. This way you keep an eye on if anyone else has pilfered your # and is running up the charges. 3. Get your credit report regularly, so you know if someone else has opened up accounts in your name elsewhere There are other things you can do as well (anyone else feel free to add to this list), but these have kept me allright since I've been in the world of credit

Well, weren't you not supposed to touch the official under any circumstance anyway? At least in the pre-nWo/Austin days before refs started getting their ass kicked as much as wrestlers themselves

Anyone else catch in the background someone apparently running on-field and getting punked by security in the wake of the Cubs celebration?

Are you referring to all solos in popular music (which at one time ,and could still be argued, would have included the likes of Zeppelin, Deep Purple, and Clapton) or just popular solos in the last decade or so?

I suppose it's comforting that this kind of thing isn't confined to our side of the pond As for finding the triathalon amusing, I thought Brits were supposed to have a refined sense of humor </stereotype> Hell, not even that many yokels over here found that amusing

I too would have to say it was Jericho. He has what I believe to be the best all around package for appeasing internet (technical wrestling skills) and arena fans (charisma and mic skills) alike, but since he's never been allowed to get the better of the E's golden triangle (Austin, Rock and Trips), chances of resurrecting his main event career are slim at this point.

Article here About damn time... I'm tired of everytime I'm trying to remember a domain and type in something similar but not the actual domain, then get rerouted to some random search engine with 20 popups.

He knows which side his bread is buttered on. Rob Van Dam said in an interview that he prefered working in ECW to WWE. But then again, not every wrestler is Rob Van Dam. True, plus RVD seems to be actively looking to get dropped by the 'E' so he can pursue interests elsewhere, although the 'E' will probably not drop him because 1) He still draws regardless of how he's mishandled and 2) Vince's mindset that even if he's not gonna use bigname wrestlers not associated with Levesque, he's gonna make sure no one else can use them either

Emmitt Smith with 6 attempts for -1 yards. Maybe if he loses enough yards he'll actually fall back behind Payton in the record books.

SI on Campus had an article entitled "The Coolest Jobs in Sports," featuring people under 30 who have big jobs in sports. Two other notable names on the list included Theo Epstein and Tony Reali (StatBoy from PTI). I was surprised though when I came upon the IWC's favorite female in the article: The funniest thing to me was Steph chiding anyone about having an attitude, and before anyone talks about distinguishing her "character" from her real person, I believe that, like her father, they are one in the same. Also, curious of course that they don't note that while it's worth $437M today, that it was worth over twice as much in 2000, before the XFL and WCW acquisition and driving away fans in droves thereafter.

Like I said earlier, the 'E' was worth nearly twice as much by the end of 2000 Then came the XFL Then came the WCW acquisition and Invasion debacle that chased away fans Then came the monopoly and the lackadaisical attitude towards the writing Hence why I found it funny when the article mentioned the value of the 'E' with the irony of the truth hidden to those who know
