"The golf course. looks. good. My golf swing. feels. good. I. like. my. chances."

Me neither, but I'm lumping the Mannings in with the same type of athletes who get all the "Gee, they have a good head on their shoulders" pub from the national media based on their being accessible to the media. This despite the fact that they give out canned "modern athlete PC speak" (see Jordan, Michael for the start of this kind of handling of the media) and really don't show much of a personality (aside from apperances on Saturday Night Live) and only give reporters only what they (the athlete) want to say, not what the reporter is really looking for. I know that over the last few years I've gotten tired of the Smilin' Joe America humility mom and apple pie blah athletes like Manning and RoboTiger... TO almost seems like a welcome relief at this point

Watched OOTP yesterday. Just going by the movie itself and not comparing it with the book (which I haven't read), it was easily the worst of the series IMO. Despite not having read the book, I could tell while watching that explanations and expositions were glossed over, if not eliminated entirely, and then Mrs Slayer covered several of the omissions on the car ride home from the theater. For being the shortest film of the series (ironic, of course), it also dragged in quite a few places

actually, i was thinking about this recently and the correct answer to this is edwin. When I think about it seriously, my answer would be Kinetic. Unfortunately in the time I've been on this board his MO has been to show up for a couple weeks then disappear for a year

What do you completely and utterly suck at?
Slayer replied to Copper Feel's topic in No Holds Barred
"In my day it only cost $10 to buy a car." "But back in your day you made a quarter a week." *Silence.* What's funny to me is that those people fail to factor in the inflation and improvements in production technology that actually make that $10 car five times as expensive as a standard car today -
Much like Jigglypuff, these pbone v. Bartok battles are putting me to sleep

Here is the original comic, btw

The original comic with just the backhand was much better... the superfluous text actually makes it worse

Hasn't this come up nearly every other year for the last decade?

Spiff's sig was always a favorite of mine I turned them off because of a combination of some people having NSFW sigs, and also because of some lord-awful sigs (see also: mildmegasus). Plus it makes the post lengths uniform

I've had sigs turned off for years

Hey hey hey. Nobody's going to stop caring about me. I may shift from Milky to Dave again, but I'm still a human being god dammit. *rebels, ceases caring about Milky as a human being god dammit.*

Until such time when we stop caring about Milky again
