Live reports of Red at Indy shows are that he's nowhere near recovered from his injury yet.

I guess this means the end of some of the X guys.

More On TNA Telling Wrestlers Not To Work For ROH

The owner situation hasn't been clear for a while. Someone bought Rob's majority of the company in late march 2003. He hasn't publicly announced it, cause he's pretty much a money mark, but his name is Carey Silken. All of what Rob owned in the company is now under Doug's name, but the majority owner is Carey. -

1,500 is high. Raven is definitely still more of a draw than Styles in most places. Raven's name on the card ensures a lot of local ecw and wcw fans may check it out. I had heard that ROH pays Styles more than TNA does, too. My guess is he makes about 1,000 give or take a hundred or two each show. -

Mike is right. The tax breaks are intended to keep failing businesses afloat for a little while, so they can hopefully turn things around, but they're not set up as eternal welfare. -

The contracts only prevent them from going to the wwe. They also give TNA preference over another booking if it's the same date. -
The problem with the Vince interference was the execution. The comedy chase with Rock, the endless nearfalls off it...it shoulda been a low blow by Vince, leading into a stunner.

Listen, a chance like this to have a #2 is not going to come around again for a while if the next one fails. If it's TNA, it will fail. I don't want that. If another one fails, we may never get a chance for a #2 again. -

If I were these guys, I'd say no. Why be exclusive to such a shitty product that is bound to go out of business? When it does, they'll have burned a lot of bridges. I don't expect Daniels to stay exclusive to TNA, but Sabin probably will, and maybe Styles if he's paid enough. Clearly they don't mind losing assloads of money, just pay the guys more. -
NWATNA tell Styles to distance himself from ROH

They started doing this with stars before the Feinstein thing according to Mike Johnson. The Feinstein thing is just a smokescreen, they had definitely hinted it to stars of both promotions in the past. The idea that their big worry is over Feinstein is hilarious. And RF is officially gone by all accounts. All of his stock in the company now belongs to someone else. -
So as I was watching last night, I was pretty psyched about the main event, but man that was the drizzling shits. HHH really ought to retire, as he had Eddy's first "bleh" match in months. Eddy-Rey, Eddy-Benjamin, Eddy-Chavo, and of course the last 2 PPV matches totally smoked this. How embarrasing was it to see HHH gasping for air while Eddy was doing the rolling vertical suplexes? The series of suplexes sure loses luster when it takes a minute to complete. I don't know if it's a case of Trips only working well with Shawn, or just not trying on Raw, but his performance last night was abysmal.

Definitely a classic, and like CF said, the closest WWE ever got to the atmosphere of a heavyweight classic in All Japan. When I watch it, I can't help but wonder if it would be considered for "greatest match of all time" honors if the work had been up to the level of the story told. Add in crisper offense and less sloppiness, and I think this would be pushing the ***** level. For me, it's ****1/2.

Booker and Eddy had a lot of good matches in WCW. I think they have something good in them.

Benoit vs. Shawn Orton vs. Foley Jericho vs. Christian Edge vs. Kane Dudleys vs. Flair/Batista Benjamin vs. Booker T I want to see what the one "major change" left is.
-
I think it's a shame they're not trading Hurricane and Storm to SD, 2 guys that desperately need change.
-
Boy how they'd fuck that up. I bet they'd have Punk be straight edge against fast food or something.

You clearly didn't see him pull ***1/2 out of Michael Shane in a sick brawl.

NWATNA tell Styles to distance himself from ROH
Michrome replied to eirejmcmahon's topic in TNA Wrestling
No. The contracts only give TNA precedence over other dates, and ban the workers from working WWE. TNA has no call in where the guys work. If an ROH show and a TNA show were on the same day, the guys would have to work TNA, but that's about it. -

Funny, I thought the key to being a succesful company was making money and having people actually watch your shows. -
Yes it is Dusk. He speaks fine english, and can definitely write. He kayfabed people for years on not speaking english, but he speaks it fine. Plus, Dave said a "name" wrestler, and London sure as hell ain't a name.

Just terrible...shameful. This is the epitome of fuzzy thinking, and I can't imagine what it's like to have a mind that works this way. Rob is a victim? Jesus fucking christ. Gabe Sapolsky is a victim. Doug Gentry is a victim. Every worker in the locker room is a fucking victim thanks to Rob Feinstein.

By the way, AJ does still work indies every single weekend pretty much. I remember talking to MKJ late last year after the 11/1 show, and he said one of his biggest worries going forward was TNA trying to pull AJ and Punk off of RoH. Oh well, AJ refused, I'm sure Punk gave them the finger, and Daniels will tell them to fuck off too.
