He did not suck, he was just green. He had a tremendous ***1/2ish match with Juvi at Spring Stampede that was way better than Rey-Kidman later that night. The best way I can desribe a Pheonix Splash is a corkscrew backwards 450.

Nah, these days it's more like, "If it looks good, it could be passable, if it looks horrible, watch out."
-
Remember when these previews used to look really good, and make you want to get the show?

2001 TV was pretty terrible from June-on. January-Wrestlemania was chalk-filled with great TV matches, Wrestlemania-Judgement day was fucking terrible, J-Day to KoTR had a bunch of good matches again, and it went to hell after that.

Just to add another perspective on Winter Wars from someone that's not really an IWA-MS fan--it was a rockin show, one of my favorite this year. Hero-Styles was tremendous, and really a coming-out party for how fucking good AJ Styles has become. Don't get me wrong, Hero was good in this, but his babyface-in-peril comeback is hard to buy when he's a foot taller than the other guy. AJ was just wicked awesome in this. It wasn't on the level of 4/12, but it was still GREAT. Shelley-Jacobs Brawl: ***3/4 Daniels vs. Stone: *** Shane vs. Webb: **3/4 Hero vs. Styles: ***3/4 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A few new reco's from me: IWA-MS 12/20: Shane-Styles is ****. Yes, Michael Shane had a **** match. It was fucking tremendous, thanks to AJ again. Hero-Bboy is way too indyish for my tastes, with not much depth to the match at all, but the 4-way at the end is good too. ROH 11/1: Danielson-Styles, Cide-Whitmer, Scramble Cage, and the Mcginniss tag are all tremendous.
-
Nope. As someone who hates deathmatches, I can tell you it's a waste of your time. The best wrestling match on both nights is the Cide-Hero match, which is a really good strikefest, but Hero has had way better matches this year. Honestly, if you're not into the gore, get Hero-Cide on a comp and avoid this show.

I hate the fact that they're having a strong style tournament. It's terrible enough when RoH announcers and CZW ones make idiots out of themselves calling the matches strong style, but naming a tournament strong style is just embarrasing. Trent Acid in a strong style match? Eek.
-
That's because nobody else in the match has online commentary blogs, and they've been asked NOT to talk about it? Jesus christ, he could have ended those guys careers with what he was doing. That's why I care. Some "draw" Teddy has made himself into too--MLW Night 1 attendance: < 150 paid.

This is idiotic. There are good matches, and there are bad matches. 6/3/94 is great. It doesn't matter if you're too stupid or dense to get it, it's still great, whether you like it or not. There are concrete aspects of it beyond any subjectivity. If you enjoy a match that was a piece of shit, it wasn't good, you just have low standards. I'm beginning to think there's probably a parallel between the way people see wrestling and how they are in real life. If someone enjoys Red Lobster more than The Palm, does not make it better? Hell no.

Joey Ryan getting an east coast shot pleases me. The guy is so much better than some of the overhyped "stars" of the west coast like B-Boy. Give me Joey Ryan and Bobby Quance over B-Boy and Super Dragon any day.

TNA Going Forward On PPV Plans Without Hogan
Michrome replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in TNA Wrestling
Sigh, Nash was SHIT in the WWE. He got his ass handed to him by everyone, and stunk up the main event. NOBODY cared about him...sure he'll get a pop in TNA on name recognition, but if you think this is going to help TNA "make it big", you're nuts. -
Who said it was the worst decision ever? Glad to see the agenda of hallucination is well-represented in this thread too.

Jerry Lynn's TNA Future Not Looking Bright

Russo being back is a good thing. Sure, he's not great or anything, but hopefully he can bring excitement back to TNA. Ship Dutch out...he fucking blows at booking for the U.S. -
I don't think HHH-Shawn will be anywhere near as good as you guys do. That match on Raw blew away anything they did in 2002, and after multiple viewings I think **** is a bit generous for that one. LMS matches are generally bloody, garbage matches, which can be good...but man the garbage match they had at Armageddon 2002 was freakin terrible. The only LMS match I've ever seen that was slightly enjoyable was HHH vs. Jericho, and there's no way in hell this will be that good. I'm thinking Noble-Rey will get about 7 minutes, Chavo-Eddie will get 10-12, the tag will get 10-12, Lesnar-Holly will get 10-15, and HBK-HHH will get 30-40.

They do have more different styles, but often times they have terrible attempts at the styles. For example, Sonjay Dutt vs. Jack Evans this week...sure, it was junior style, but it sucked balls. MLW tends to do a lot of different things, and none of them well. Although Bulldogs vs. Quance/Puma this week was fun.

How is Guerrero / Guerrero different from itself

I think I could ask YOU the same question -
How is Guerrero / Guerrero different from itself

We don't know what it is yet. Maybe it was to make sure Eddy stayed out of the Rumble by facing Chavo early in the card Maybe it's all out of jealousy over how popular a lying cheater has gotten. Give it time -

This feud has been the best thing on Smackdown in like a year. Awesome rudo stuff from the Chavos, Angle playing his sneaky role to perfection, and the wrestling is fine. After Eddy's heat was killed by the Big Show feud, it has been rekindled by this one. The match sunday should be sweet. -
Dude, what is it you can't comprehend? After the match, HE DID A SHOOTING STAR PRESS OFF THE CAGE ONTO UNSUSPECTING WRESTLERS. Comprende? He put everyone there in danger just to get himself over. The locker room kicked him out. Besides all of this, he sucks dick in the ring, and workwise would be in the bottom 20% of RoH. I've learned on the internet that "it was entertaining" is code for, "I can't back up my opinion with logic." Same goes for: "You only think that because you're a smark." "You need to sit back and enjoy it." "I watch wrestling to be entertained."

Yeah...just wait for Toby Keith, that's what'll really bring in the draws.

Just one thing Corey: The TM 4 thing hinged on Hogan and his connections with NJPW, he won't be in for the PPV. -
TNA Going Forward On PPV Plans Without Hogan
Michrome replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in TNA Wrestling
Let's think of the BEST (and somewhat realistic) card possible: Jeff Jarrett vs. Raven Hall and Nash vs. America's Most Wanted AJ Styles vs. Sting Super X 3 (Skipper, Shane, Sabin, Dutt) Low Ki vs. Christopher Daniels Ken Shamrock vs. Abyss CM Punk vs. D'Lo Brown Looking at this show the way it is, I would definitely buy it, but the question is, would anyone else? I think AMW vs. Hall and Nash would be sweet, if only because it's TNA's ace team against Hall and Nash, plus it would be fresh. Styles really needs to go over Sting, and we've been waiting for Jarrett-Raven forever. Punk-Brown is just because. Frankly, I'd just kill to have Punk do a straightedge promo on Scott Hall...I can always dream. -

What job is that? -
If you have you own unique opinions, how come you never express them? When challenged to defend your thoughts, you always refer to Meltzer or Keith instead of defending the show yourself.

Well, Juvi-Sabin II should be nice.
