Hogan/TNA deal hinging on Hart getting ownership
Michrome replied to OldSchoolWrestling's topic in TNA Wrestling
If I am correct, I believe outside of the 1 cent show only the first show and the first Sting appearance at the anniversary got 60,000 buys. However, the idea here is that the TV show would lead to a lot more buys, but I dont know if that will work out. If Panda is willing to take an initial loss, then they could try it. -
So Cide is supposed to fly to Florida for 1/9 and then be back in Ohio for 1/10? I predict Cide pulls off.
-
Not to bitch or anything, but why do you rate some matches and not others? Other than that, I thought it was a good review.
-
TV stations don't like the modern stigma that comes along with wrestling (thanks Vince).
-
Ironic how Samoa Joe is fat, yet he's better than pretty much every "skinny" guy on the TNA roster with the exception of Chris Daniels. How can it be!
-
Yep, he could easily be introduced as a hitman or bodyguard of types for Jarrett. The man is simply awesome.
-
Austin/Hart at SurSer is probably my favorite WWE match ever, so that gets MoTY 96 for me. Foley-Shawn was real good, though.
-
They can just hold it in the northern part of Iraq, as long as it's out of that middle section, they should be fine.
-
haha. You know, I just assumed 12/23 cause it's usually filmed on Tuesday, but I don't think theres anything preventing them from doing it like a week before or something.
-
It's taped on 12/23.

This is great, the boys over there need some fun diversion. Whatever the motives are, I don't care...I'm happy they're doing this.
-
The only thing I dislike about Lesnar is his overuse of knees to the gut and those shoulderblocks in the corner that slow down the match.
-
Bryan Danielson would be a great addition. Yep, he would.

Having just seen the match, I thought it was good, better than any Angle-Lesnar match, but not great or anything. The long commercial break in the middle really hurt the flow for me, I'd like to see it in full. This really needed 10 more minutes to tell a story, a lot more buildup to the ending submission would have made this that much more great. Still a good match that has me excited about a possible rematch. ***1/4

I know plenty, and even though the WTO generally has sided with us, the EU hasn't exactly been around that long either. The bottom line is that we're outvoted by the EU at the WTO, and unelected officials are determining America's trade policy.
-
TNA costs about 35 bucks a month with that new deal. ROH costs about 40 bucks a month for their usual 2 shows.
-
I still think surrendering America's right to determine its own trading policy was one of the hugest mistakes. America is outvoted 15-1 by Eurosocialists with the EU's best interest in mind, which is entirely unfair. If the EU has 15 countries voting for it, then the U.S. should get 1 vote per state, because it's ridiculous to have economically weak countries bullying the U.S. We should determine our trade policy on our own. Europe does not want a trade war...a real trade war, because they would get smashed.

You can, TNA Just doesn't do it. If you have about 5 major storylines on the show, you can have something *important* to each one happen on each show, while doing a classic build to the other four. In addition, like I've said before, they have the talent to be putting on **** matches weekly, but they don't. I don't order shows with good lineups because I'm afraid of getting fucked over. There should be at least one 15-20 minute match with good workers weekly.

I'm going to get the show Wednesday to see Styles vs. Jarrett, the X Division 3-way, and the possible turn of Punk on Raven. Now, here is the plea. ***Let Styles And Jarrett Have Time For Fuck's Sakes!*** I mean, honestly, why do they keep having 12 minute matches when I *know* they could have a real solid 20 minute main event. I mean, people are PAYING ten bucks for this show to see this match in particular, so wasting time that could be devoted to this on mindless bullshit (PIPER) is really lame. If Piper gets a 10 minute interview, and the main event is only 10 minutes, I am boycotting the show forever. Give people like me a reason to buy the show more often. Give me real main events.
-
I did see it, and I forgot about that. That one was a good match.

Ok, fuck this, it's NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN. When it does, link me to this thread and I'll admit to being wrong. Anyways, let's assume it IS going to happen in may or June. Can we really stand to sit around for SIX OR SEVEN more months of Jimmy Hart talking about Hulk Hogan and Jeff Jarrett beating everyone in a buildup to Hogan's return? Mantell has been handicapped since day 1 with the task of building a show around a Hogan-Jarrett feud, which didn't draw shit in WCW in the first place. Nobody on earth wants to see this match. Even TNA fans who support the Hogan move support it because they want Hogan to bring in more fans who would then see the TNA product, they don't actually want to see Hogan. Because of this whole ordeal, AJ has been sent packing (as of tonight) back to the X Division, the undercard has no direction, storylines like Raven/Gathering are being dealth with in half-assed style, and basically everyone on the show outside of Jarrett is being treated like second-class. Over the past month and a half, TNA has done more to devalue itself than it did at any point in the first year. It's time to abandon the Hogan thing for now, and build around Styles as the champ again for a while. Do a ladder match or something in 2 weeks because Styles got screwed. Hell, just stop centering the entire damn show around Jarrett....if you took Jarrett off the show tomorrow, the show would not lose any buys. The guy just sucks the good out of TNA.
-
They did a freaking 20 minute angle and gave the X Division 3-way 10 minutes?? Honestly, who is booking this shit? Thank god I got talked out of ordering, because I would be pissed as hell. If Jarrett-Styles is less than 20, there should be a TNA boycott.
-
Ki-Daniels was a solid 9 minute start to a 20 minute match.
-
The point is that even though I think it could happen, I don't think it will happen, if the last few years of Jarrett mean anything.
