Well, it's been building up since the anniversary show, so... 2/8 3/15 3/22 4/12 4/26 5/31 6/14 6/28 7/19 8/9 8/16 9/6 Raven has been gone since being "crucified" on 9/6, and he's returning for a revenge blowoff.

RoH does 2 shows a month now. Indy wrestlers in general work multiple shows a week, and don't wrestle 3-minute specials. RoH just recently had its first big spotfest style cage match, and it was a big success. It's not as if it's something they do every week, once again, after reading you're idiotic ramblings, I'm 100% sure you've never seen the product. No, no it doesn't. When was the last good, intriguing angle on Raw? The ECW invasion? Smackdown usually is good for a couple good matches, but lately it's been the drizzling shits outside of velocity (where RoH talent makes it tolerable). The same goes for Raw (which is always the drizzling shits). I laugh my ass off when I see people crowing about how great a 4 minute tag with Lance Storm and Chris Jericho was. On November first, Styles and Danielson had a singles match that I'd bet was WORLDS better than anything the WWE has done this month, and I haven't even seen it. There is more good wrestling on one RoH show than 3 months of WWE TV. And if the fact that Indy wrestlers don't work other shows doesn't count, then the house shows WWE workers do don't count either. Once again, you're clearly just trolling without ever having watched the product, so I wonder why I'm wasting my time. The Steve Corino-Homicide feud that will be blown off on 11/29 has been building up for 13 months. THIRTEEN MONTHS. Do you have any clue what you're talking about? The Raven-Punk feud that will be blown off on 11/28 has been built up for over 8 months. Once again, get a freaking clue.

What do you mean by close? If you mean in terms of revenue and TV, then sure, they're not even remotely close. If you are speaking in terms of consistently putting out good shows, having great wrestling matches, and good feuds...RoH is way ahead of the WWE right now. Why don't you try actually watching the damn product before you troll.
-
It was a great moment, but you seem to have mutant-itus, where anything that was entertaining must be ****+ (RVD-Lynn, anyone?)
-
Hey, how about you try watching the product! What a concept that would be. There wasn't a single one on one match tonight that was better than any Samoa Joe title defense this year. And Joe hasn't had any title defenses over ***1/4, IMO.
-
I personally thought the Indy Cage match you speak of was way overrated, but if you think the Raw tag was ****, I have tons of tags to show you from this year alone that you'd be sure to give four hundred stars. I mean, it was really dramatically strong once it was Shawn vs. The World, but before that it was nothing special at all, and star ratings are based on how good the wrestling was. Good heat does not make a match great.
-
My only problem is giving HBK that huge rub from Austin...why not do it for Booker T? HBK is already a huge star, he doesn't need that rub.

Nothing topped ***, but it was a fun night with lots of blood and violence. Taker-Vince and Berg-Hunter were god-awful, the raw ss tag was great once it was Shawn vs. The World. Benoit making Lesnar tap was GREAT.

PWG "An Inch Longer than Avarage" this weekend!
Michrome replied to PsychoDriver's topic in General Wrestling
I don't understand the super push of Frankie Kazarian...he's really nothing special in the ring, he's bland, and he gets treated like a jobber on TNA (when he's there). -
PWG "An Inch Longer than Avarage" this weekend!

By "insane" do you mean really good, or just tons of highspots? I hope to see some PWG shows soon live... -
The problems with Ki-Dragon were numerous: There was almost no selling in the longterm, which hurt the match a lot. The matwork didn't establish anything or build to anything, because we all knew they were just going to break out the insane moves at the finish. The Super Ki-Krusher became a fisherman's buster because it was blown.
-
Ok, you liked it more...care to explain why? I like watching women's mud wrestling more sometimes, it doesn't mean the matches are better.
-
And he's nowhere near as good as he used to be.
-
Which match are you talking about? I mean, I know it would be awesome if he wrestled himself, but...
-
This was confirmed by Meltz today in his news update....so let's start the fantasy booking of this DVD now. What needs to be included? What is crucial to the story?
-
Ki-Dragon isnt even in the top 5 RoH matches.
-
Crowd size doesn't matter at all. If so, should we rate wrestlemanias based on crowd size? What about WWE matches? Was one Benoit-Angle match better than the other because of crowd size? Match Of The Year simply means the best wrestling performance of the year.

They work a totally different style for many reasons. 1) In RoH, Ki and Styles for example, would get 20-25 minutes to put on a match. This way, they are able to have a beginning, middle, and end to the match, and build it up nicely, leading to the big finish. In TNA, guys like Ki, Styles, and Daniels seem to get 9-13 minutes, so they pretty much completely skip the buildup and rely on spotty work instead, which brings the quality of the matches way down. 2) I think that the aformentioned workers believe that the stiff, submission-style stuff wouldn't get over in TNA, and judging by reports of Daniels-Ki on Wednesday, it seems like the crowd wasn't really digging the submission work. It's worth mentioning that my favorite Styles-Ki match was not in RoH, it was in Zero-1, and that match was really pretty damn good. Ki-Daniels from RRC 02 was pretty solid, but it was Daniels' second match and Ki was saving a lot for his second match. In other words, they can do a lot better and have in the past.

Another thing about the powerbomb: He didn't actually lift Dragon up for the powerbomb, Dragon had mounted him for punches in the corner and London powerbombed him off, which is definitely possible for someone with a bad knee to do. Earlier in the match, he couldn't even pick up Dragon for a bodyslam, so if he had actually picked Dragon up for the powerbomb the complaint would be legit. The top rope spot is key to the match, since it builds off the first match and adds another level to it.
-
Austin is definitely in my top 5
-
How will Briscoes vs. Daniels/Maff be better? Joe isn't far behind Daniels in terms of work, and AJ is better than Dan Maff. Homicide vs. Walters could be solid, too. They can't put out a supershow every show, or a supershow wouldn't be a supershow.

If the WWE wants to get people like me to pay for their shows these days, it's not going to be through Raw and Smackdown, especially not at this rate. Currently, there are millions of WCW fans that evaporated after WCW dissolved that could still be sucked in by the correct promotional work and good historical DVDs of their favorite stars. Case In Point: The Ric Flair DVD. I haven't preordered a DVD from the WWE ever before...hell, the last thing I ordered in advance in anticipation was WM X-7....it's been a long time. The DVD looks like a *great* piece of work, and I hope they promote the hell out of it, because Flair completists will be dying to get their hands on it. Dedicate a confidential to it, whatever, just do it. This is a huge source of revenue, and I think they are about to learn that. There is *so much* old-school gold in their posession, and if they would put more time into DVD production, they could pull in a lot more money.

I thought it was ***1/4 Too short for a 2/3 falls match, and the HCS match was much better. Still, the crowd heat made it very enjoyable.
