    Xplosion on Sunshine Network

Because of the Direct TV clearance, I doubt TNA is viewing the Sunshine Network as just 1 new market. They didn't send out press releases for any of the other clearances of Xplosion.

    Xplosion on Sunshine Network

I think they should have a least one match of all "TNA Regulars" to draw viewers to the show. But I did like that they had AJ and AMW work the first show on Sunshine Network, since they are TNA's biggest homegrown stars.

    0A0 TNA 2/4 thread

I actually hadn't thought of that, but if he's actually gonna do some shows leading up to Bound for the Glory, that'd probably be how they'd start him out. We'll see...

    Kudos to TNA

I just received my "Best of Title Matches" DVD and I must say I'm very impressed. Having only previously seen 2 of the matches in the set, I was glued to both discs the entire time. I liked the way they had Tenay and West segue into each match. It really helped the matches flow together. My only complaints would be the horrible clip job of the original Gauntlet for the Gold (c'mon guys....this isn't Xplosion! Either put the whole thing on there or don't put it at all! ) My other complaint would be that they did not do a very good job editing the bonus Sting interview....so the parts of the original broadcast before or after the interview were here. I know that's nitpicking a lil' bit, but hey, I paid $30 bucks! But seriously, if they can find a way to get the DVDs into stores like Best Buy, it's really help get the word out. If Pioneer was willing to distribute ECW videos, I don't see why they wouldn't want to take on TNA. Just a thought....

    The Truth

I know all signs point to an upcoming Kru/Franchise Feud, but I think I'd rather see Truth turn heel, blaming James for the loss of the belts. He can go over the Kru first and then climb bank up the World Title ranks to become Raven's first challenger after he wins the belt at Bound for Glory (a guy can dream, can't he? ) In fact, the Franchise can play into this by egging on the break-up, so that storyline isn't dropped either. This way everybody wins: Truth returns to the ME, 3 Live Kru is keep as just Konnan and James (sure the matches would suck, but they would provide meaningless entertainment in their skits) and Michael Shane is keep as far away from the X-Title as possible. What do u guys think?

    TNA Finally Makes It Big

I know....i was just saying that they've shown before that they can be financially responsible. Whether they will or not it a entirely different subject, but obviously, they have more flexibility with Panda's backing though. At least they seem to have backed off the stupid WGN deal

    TNA Finally Makes It Big

Exactly. We have no idea what the deal is between TNA and Panda. For all we know, maybe they are not losing as much as they were in the beginning and that's encouraging. Or maybe they're hedging all their bets on trying to get TV. They have cut back on costs since the beginning, so I'm sure that helped and they are making attempts at growing, such as running outside of Nashville. All I'm saying is we don't know. All we know is that not agreeing with booking decisions DOES NOT equal Panda pulling the plug. Hell, they could be pushing people the Panda are marks for....

    TNA Finally Makes It Big

The biggest angles in recent history have come out of "down" periods, namely the NWO and the Attitude area. What was either fed doing before that to predict they would catch fire?

    TNA Finally Makes It Big

I really think we should wait and see what kind of angle they play out on the show for this match. Alot of people, myself included, where down on them bringing in Hogan, but then the angle started out really hot and they may have done some good business if Hogan didn't back out of the deal. So maybe they can find a way to make us want to see this match. At least they've waiting until the deal is finalized to start the hype, so I at least give them credit for being a bit wiser. I'm giving TNA the benefit of the doubt here, because if they start soon, they have enough time to build a compelling angle (the Raven/Jarrett feud heated up about this time and built pretty well until the lousy payoff).

    TNA Finally Makes It Big

Also not a new thing....TNA did this with Jarrett in the first Gauntlet, though he didn't win. It's pretty much standard booking for a babyface you really want to put over to either have to enter first and run the table (a la Benoit) or be "injured" and leave everybody wondering whether they will be able to compete (a la Raven in the most recent Gauntlet)

    TNA Finally Makes It Big

A battle royal to determine a number #1 contender is not a "WWE plot"....every promotion in the business has used it, including TNA this past summer when Raven won a shot against Styles and when Gilberti won a match with Jarrett.

    TNA Finally Makes It Big

At least we'll get a better match than Jarrett/Hogan. I think I might even like it if they do that match on top with a Gauntlet for the Gold for a title shot as the double main. Have the GftG come down to Raven and Punk with Punk being all that stands in front of his destiny. Build it up were Raven has to earn his way into the battle royal, is like the #1 entrant and this is his only way to get a shot. He gets the rub of going over all the other "big" names like Hall, Shamrock, Nash, etc and he's super over heading to Raven/Jarrett II at the second big show.

    The Truth

Yeah....the reason I started think of a Truth push again was because I just brought the Best Title Matches DVD and the match that stood out to me the most was his match with Jarrett. It was the only match on the whole set that he was prominently featured, but that match is the one I'm drawn to keep watching. It was eons better than I thought it would be and Killings looked like a million bucks. He was credible champion during his first run and could definitely liven up the main event scene in TNA.

    Kudos to TNA

Amen! That is the second best way to help spread the word, next to a TV Deal of course. I came across plenty of feds that way. I didn't even know what XPW was until I saw a video in Best Buy. I didn't become a fan, but I did sample the product. I'm sure TNA could benefit from that kind of exposure.

    Kudos to TNA

I just realized the DVD didn't cover The Truth winning the title from Shamrock. I know the match itself wasn't as good at Truth/Jarrett or Jarrett/Raven, but every other World Title change in TNA history was on there.

    TNA news from the Observer

The Sunshine Network plan seems decent enough, baring they didn't have that ridiculous 6 week delay with the online broadcast, because SN don't have very high clearance at all.

    DVDs

Hey....i just ordered one of the TNA DVDs and I just had a quick question for anyone who has ordered any of them. I just wanted to know if they included the video packages and entrances as when they originally aired or if they were like the old ECW DVDs and just skipped right to ring introductions.

What is the single best TNA show...

Since I'm in school, I've only seen the summer shows and the ones that fall on holidays when I'm home and have access to PPV, so keep in mind I have seen every show. Anyway, here's my top 5: Week 3 with Jarrett and Killings (as K-Krush) versus Hall and Christopher on top, plus the first tag team tournament with the Rainbow Express/Styles and Lynn in the finals Week 7 or 8 where Killings beat Shamrock for the title, Jarrett had an good match with Apollo and Low-Ki won the X-title in the 3-way main with Lynn and Styles. The last show of 2002 where LOD first appeared and Triple X was formed and main evented against the SAT and Red. The 6/25 show with the AMW/Triple X cage match. And I think the first show was very underrated....it featured the excellent 6 man opener and the entertaining Gaunlet for the Gold.

Here's The Bound For Glory Logo

I would include the first Jarrett/Killings show and the first Jarrett/Styles show in February as "big" shows.

    TNA Dvds

My thoughts exactly....I really think whole thing will build up Jarrett/Raven II where babyface Raven overcomes everything to get FINALLY fulfill his destiny. Think about it....after Raven lost to Styles, he said he'd get to Mitchell and then get back onto destiny...well if he finally gets to Mitchell at Bound for Glory and Jarrett defeats Styles and Hogan, that's the most logically option...have Raven trying to gain a shot, Russo and Jarrett trying to keep it from him, he gets it and wins at big show #2 to the cheers of everyone who's been waiting for that win since April, kinda like how WWE held off on putting the title on Austin the first time and waited until Mania XIV instead of XIII.

    3 Hr PPV Name

TNA has perhaps its biggest buzz since Jarrett/Raven right now with the big 3 Hr Show with Hogan/Jarrett...I just wanted to know if anyone had any ideas of what this show should be called as it will most likely become an annual event if it leads to a TV Deal...it could be TNA's version of "WrestleMania" or "Starrcade," no it terms of buyrates or gates, but in terms of prestige within the promotion. So let's have some potential names...

    3 Hr PPV Name

Obviously they'll want to make t-shirts with the first traditional PPV on it...they had shirts made for the debut. And assuming they get their DVD act together, they'll one be on those too.

EA Sports Is Doing The Videogame

That's great news and I know should probably be a different topic, but since I'm probably more excited about the TV deal mention in the story than the game, who do you think the deal is gonna be with? I say USA, TNT or FX.
  24. TNABaddboi

    3 Hr PPV Name

Would WWE own that too? If not, I definitely think that might work. Fans who have been out of the loop since WCW folded might be drawn to the name. Just a thought.

    Make me a card

Good Card....i'd definitely pay for that...here's how I'd book and arrange it: I'd have Sabin going over. D' Lo goes over to pop the crowd. Frankie winning to solidify his presumed heel turn I'd put the belts back on AMW here just to introduce them to new viewers as a special team, but have them job the belts back to Diamond and Swinger ASAP. Kash wins here by cheating, Abyss saves Sting from post-match beatdown to give Kash & Abyss some rub with new viewers as they go on to feud. If Hart's transportation issues workout, I'd change the titles here too to give the show a big time feel with 2 titles changing. It really doesn't matter who wins here as long as they have enough time to steal the show, but I'd probably give the win to Styles to continue his face push after jobbing to Jarrett and getting screwed by Russo and his bat. Can they please have a clean title change that doesn't involve Russo and his bat? The last time the title without that damn bat was The Truth going over Shamrock. I'd go with the cage and have this be the blow off with Raven winning and then getting his hands on Mitchell finally...and maybe returning the favor for the haircut a few weeks back? I think so too, and I think Jarrett will be a hot heel if they go with the Triple J Triple H parody, so I'd build this up off of the Bash incident and have Jarrett saying he's a icon who took Hogan out once and he's not going to let him have a title shot. After Watts finally grants Hogan a shot, I have it looking like he's about to win, but have Jarrett win after Russo interferes so that Jarrett can brag for weeks that he beat a legend. Besides, if they do it right, there might be money in a rematch. And once Jarrett and the title are evaluated by beating Hogan, Jarrett can job the belt to Raven FINALLY and Hogan can get his job back (which you know he's going to want) in a non-title rematch at a potential second Sunday PPV or on a regular show. If they can only get Hogan for one shot, have Jarrett do a total heel beat down here to get the retiring the legend heat going. What do you guys think of my booking?
