that actually was a decent match. I never get sick of seeing Joe casually walk away from somebody setting up some explosive move. Or the running knee-lift in the corner and slam out of it. anyway, they should have at least one match that gets close to 10 minutes every show. it just leaves a different taste in your mouth with the hour is up. Steiner's debut was reasonably well handled. I'd have saved it for the PPV, but it put heat on Christian heading into the PPV. If this were WWE, that beatdown would be enough to guarantee an Angle win.

would it have KILLED them to have the one match on the show over 2 minutes go uninterrupted?

No. Have him kill anyone OTHER than Starr. Starr is going to be HUGE. (although, I am biased, as my custom title may indicate) I just suggested Starr because they're programmed together right now (and because after all the build up for his re-debut, he's been a glorified jobber). Starr got his pin on Senshi tonight. Sunday, he should eat a ghetto stomp.

In just those 3 minutes, I realized why Senshi should be the face of the post AJ/Daniels/Joe X-D. And if they were smart, they have him kill Starr at the PPV to start a Joe like push.

Good promo from Bubba. At least he explained why they're calling it a Little Italy street fight.

I've never seen that match, but you're right, that spot looked amazing on the replays. i was hoping they'd go with that one.

From Da Meltz: Glad to see the main event got time to breath. I was trying not to get my hopes up for the match after last week's 3 minute main event. We'll see how many of those 10 minutes make air though....

From Mike Johnson: The Jarrett/Sting match is a questionable choice in my opinion. I just watched the BFG DVD the other day and had the same opinion that i had when it aired live: it wasn't very good. I'm not even a workrate freak and can sometimes be drawn into a match on the atmosphere alone, but that match had two spots going for it. Angle taking out the ref and Sting no selling the guitar. Two moments in 20 minutes is hardly Total Nonstop Action. The Six Sides of Steel kicked all kinds of ass though and I haven't seen this year's KotM yet, so I can't really comment on that. I'm guessing one will be a Daniels/Joe/Styles 3 way and the other will be an UX (I'd pick Williams/Sabin/Styles if it were up to me, but when that match aired, Sabin was and Styles were faces and Petey was a heel).

    Regarding The X Division

I don't know about the rest of those guys, but Killings being in the X-D would certainly be better than wasting him away with these stupid vignettes or dancing with Hoyt. They have flirted with putting him in a few times, but never fully pulled the trigger. During his first run at world champ, he did a few matches with Jerry Lynn when Jerry was X champ. And IIRC, he was in an UX for the title a few years ago. Maybe at the first Destination X ppv or something.

They can and they will. I wouldn't be surprised if they assume fans tuning into USA and not seeing Raw will tune into Spike, simply because they used to have wrestling and want to see if they still have it. TNA haven't exactly done their best when it comes to getting the word out about anything they do. This is the thing that most frustrates me about TNA, moreso than even Vince Russo. TNA is just sooo bad when it comes to promoting itself. They really should have been buying ads on local commercial airtime during ECW after the Angle jump, or blocks during Raw. It amazes that someone like myself who has never worked in advertising and never took an ads class in college would know more than people in charge of a company trying to go national. They've got a commercial on their website that soooooooo needs to run as much as possible during Raw. It ends with Abyss choking a dog.

I agree with a lot of what Storm says, but somehow I didn't come away with such a bad impression. I typically record Impact (a practice i started when it came on so late I might fall asleep), and watched this show again, which I hadn't done in months. There was enough good on the show, I thought, to counteract the valid points he made about the bad stuff IMO.

I thought this was one of the better shows Russo's done since he's been back. There was still way too much going on, but it didn't make my head spin like some of the recent shows have. One thing I kept thinking during last night's show is how far they've come in their video packages. The package in the beginning made both the main feuds feel important, and they even manage to make the Roode/Young deal seem like it meant something. Here are my random thoughts on the show, since I wasn't on the board while it was airing: The opener was fun, though short. Sabin was a riot and did a good job putting heat on his match with Lynn. I don't know that fans who weren't watching the Nashville days know enough about Lynn to know why Sabin is a punk for picking on him though, unless of course, they were watching ECW. One of Russo's strong suits is developing stories for the midcard, and this week's Young/Roode segment was much better than it normally is, and its good to see that Young isn't losing his overness despite the stupid condom buying skits. That was probably the only segment in the whole show that they didn't pipe in canned heat for. It seems like they are going to save Chris Harris' return for LockDown and have Petey stand in in his honor until then, but what should be a killer feud seems forgot. At the very least, they should show Storm cracking Harris in the head with the bottle every once in awhile to explain his absence. Or have Petey or Gail Kim mention it in an interview. Or something. The Joe/Styles match was disappointing. They could have at least giving them 10 minutes before the schmooz ending. James Mitchell cut a fantastic promo, though the Sting/Abyss storyline is quite a bit over the top. Anyway, it was a decent show, though if they could find a cross balance between the heavy storyline focus they have now and the action focus they had when they first moved to Thursday (remember the first show starting with Joe kicking Daniels in the head?), they'd really be on to something.

I think they're playing him as a guy who works for himself (and Nash's approval). They've always played him as a jerk who has no problem filming anything for anybody for the right price. Last year at this time, he was working for Jarrett, following Sting around in California. Then, the next month, he was working for Jim Mitchell, filming Mitchell and Abyss stalking Christian's wife in Florida. It's actually a pretty good gimmick that I think could get over really well if they'd, you know, let him win a match once in awhile. This time I'm guessing he's going to be working for LAX though.

Probably not because they never had the traditional ring in Orlando. Ever since the first Impact on FSN, they've used the 6 sided ring, and I don't think they'll want to put the Nashville Fairgrounds on Spike TV.

I'd say: Six Sides - AJ vs Abyss UX - either Sabin/Williams/Styles or LAX/AJ & Daniels KOTM - the second one since its the only one that didn't end with Jarrett going over one of the AJ/Joe/Daniels three-ways and maybe one of the x-division battle royals from when the X-D mattered

Mike Johnson says TNA and Spike are close on a deal for a two hour show, which would include live specials. Here's what he posted: Thoughts?

TNA Comments which don't warrant a thread

I don't think there's any way they do a PPV from there. If they ever went back to Nashville for a house show, they probably would, but for a PPV, they'd probably do it at the bigger arena they ran the first couple of PPVs from.
