It's in Duluth, which is about 30 minutes north of Atlanta. But I'm definitely there. I went to the 2nd anniversary show in Nashville in 04 and had a blast, so I'm looking forward to them coming to my backyard.

I don't know about the ratings, but their first PPV matches drew 60,000 (which is a TNA record) and the rematches were around 25,000.

Konnan may be gone, but LAX still kicks all kinds of ass when TNA takes the leash off and let's them go.

That's no better than the FSN deal, when Impact aired pretty much whenever the hell each local station felt like it. I was in DC during the FSN run and even though Impact was on the schedule for Saturday at midnight, most weeks it came on 2:30 a.m. And a few weeks, it didn't come on at all.

Probably after Abyss giving Christian a Black Hole Slam into the thumb tacks...

Obviously, everyone's attention has been on the Benoit situation, but tonight's a pretty big night for TNA, so I figured I'd start a discussion here. Coming off their highest rated Impact, TNA's presenting a 1 match show with the hope of appealing to in-ring fans and pop another record rating. Can they? Here's the preview: Discuss...

I'm almost positive if Fox is talking with TNA, it's for an FX spot.

The new TNA Today features the Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin/LAX match that the spoilers said was so good. I'm watching it now, but two things jumped out at me. First, LAX definitely needs a new mouthpiece (they had Homicide cut a pre-match promo that wasn't very impressive IMO. Two, Tenay and West mentioned Konnan not being with LAX, which I thought was pretty surprising.

Ok, wouldn't it have made more sense to put XXX in the title match next week instead of AJ/Daniels since they are supposedly going to put Daniels and Senshi together full time again? They had a ready made excuse with the "fan voting" bit...

From PWI: Shattered probably is the wrong word, since their previous high was a 1.1, but a record is a record I guess. Is this ossibly due to interest in Angle as champ?

How are those things related? I could see if you were saying something about him doing that after Owen, but his wife died from cancer, not a show related accident.

Here are results from last night's house show, from PWI. No word on if they used the tiny ring: It sounds like a good show, but after turning Angle full-fledged heel last nite, why is he working with Christian?! I know the fans at the show didn't see Impact, but you'd still think they'd want the show to be consistent with their storylines.

I think you can say the same thing about the Nashville crowd, because he was getting audible boos for what was a pure babyface spot in the match. That was suprising, to me anyway, because of how over he was when he was chasing Jarrett for the belt in the Asylum days. Either way, a little elevation for him and Storm is good because they're homegrown guys and they usually have good matches.

they're promoting next week as "1 night, 1 match, 1 title." . Think that's enough of a wink and nod to workrate fans to get a small ratings bump.

Yeah, at least they could have had the Sabin/Shelley involved in the decision to give him something to do going forward. I'm sure next month we'll get Dutt/Lethal vs the Guns anyway, but still...
