Samoa Joe to debut in NOAH

wasn't there some talk on Joe not signing extension on his contract with TNA? anyways, the fact that Joe has no typical preliminary wins in NOAH gives that little hope for a surprise, but it seems like Misawa is trying to have Kobashi's reign, minus the quality. If this match against Joe delivers it could do wonders for both.

Triple H promo on Rey Mysterio

I'd keep the cemetery gates locked up, just in case he decides to intervene. HHH that is.

    Eddy Guerrero passes away

Hashimoto now this? I'm truly saddened by the news. RIP man.
  4. I heard those, you must have been right behind me. Did you also employ the "GRIND IT!" chants as well?
  5. Daniels vs Yang should be good I guess. I didn't like the 3-way elimination match from the yesterday's show with Daniels. Lacey said that if the fans wouldn't stop yelling she would not stop talking, which pretty much shut most people up, including this annoying fuck who looked like Michael Moore. If Nigel was a smaller guy I would get into his heel cowardly antics a bit more. Like when he was afraid to get chopped by Lethal, way too much stalling, not enough wrestling. Another spot I gotta mention, Joe powerbombing Kobashi in the corner which Kobashi sold very nicely, along with the muscle buster for 2.9
  6. Just got home. I was in section C where the "ARIGATO!" chants started and Kobashi pointed at us and I almost shit myself green. Very few Japanese fans, I saw only about 6-7. Usual screams of idiocy from obese fans that almost ruined every single match but besides the main event (of course) and Yang vs Gibson, which was pretty good. Joe's chest still wasn't as blue as Sasaki's, but nasty enough. Everyone's jaw dropped when Kobashi started and continued the chop sodomy, even of those who have never seen any of his matches. And there were handful of those guys, mainly from the uptown area (who most likely came to see Homicide kill Evans and Julius pimp his gold teeth). Hearing in my left ear is about 40% and my throat is extremely soar, but seeing Kobashi was one of the most memorable moments in my life.

Kenta Kobashi v Samoa Joe is on

I got my third tow ticket, I live just 35 minutes away from the New Yorker and I'm about to head out. Maybe I'll grow balls to ask Kobashi to chop me instead of signing an autograph.
  8. Kung Phooey! - 5.5/10. Not too bad. Below average production. Had few moments, should have achieved much more though.

    40 year old virgin

I saw it along with the Wedding Crashers (which I partially disliked) and it caught me by surprise. My friend had a humiliating laugh out loud moment during the horse-fucking segment which caused me to elbow him repeatendly. One joke after another and the sentiment never ruined the comedic flow of the film. 7/10.

    Kung Fu Hustle

I had to see it in the theaters even after wathing it at home. It spawned the Chow Marathon which i start with his each new movie release. Can't go wrong with his films if you like that style of comedy, but he did have some sleepers in the hands of Wong Jing. Btw, they're already getting ready for a sequal.

    NOAH "DESTINY", 7/18/05

Aside from KENTA vs Kanemaru being awesome, the crowd was very vocal for Hashi and Akiyama and went bazookas for Sasaki's and Kobashi's chop sodomy, which burnt out the fans by the time Misawa and Kawada came up which was said to have be full of big/nasty spots, but lacked a certain flow. As much as I wanted for Kawada to win, I got a quick taste of faygo when I read that Tenzan lost the belt again. NOAH proves its consistency over and over again.

    NOAH "DESTINY", 7/18/05

KENTA beat Kanemaru for the strap with Busaiku Knee Kick. Said to have been a great match, close to 30 min.

    WWE begin the releases

Muto is having the biggest hard on right now, and the man has yet to wake up.
  15. Batman Begins - 7/10. a flawless masterpiece compared to the last two films, but on it's own just a fine effort, with rather harmless villains, but it had a lot of ground to cover, so yeah. The Terminal - 4/10. Just a tad better than Soul Plane. Hanks just mumbles through the entire film.
  16. Stereo Future - 7/10, fine entertainment with good visuals, but compared to Survive Style 5+ it's barely innovative or meaningful.
  17. Around the world in 80 days - 5/10.

    Holy shit!

The way he had his head extended before downing the shot indicates that he was trying to channel the spirit of Mr. Pogo. I hope he burned his lashes.
  19. The Taste of Tea - 8/10. And a valuable lesson learned, don't shit on a skeleton of a former yakuza.

    Champions Carnival 2005 schedule

Results for 2 days. 1 shocker. 4/9/05 1. Champion Carnival - Block A: Shuji Kondo [2] beat Love Machine Arashi [0] (10:33) with a chickenwing hold. 2. Champion Carnival - Block B: Jamal [2] beat Chuck Palumbo [0] (14:27) with the Flying Sausage. 3. Champion Carnival - Block B: Toshiaki Kawada [2] beat Kohei Suwama [0] (3:36) with a Jumping High Kick. 4. Champion Carnival - Block B: Keiji Muto [2] beat Buchanan [0] (9:13) with the Shining Wizard. 5. Champion Carnival - Block A: Kensuke Sasaki [2] beat Satoshi Kojima [0] (29:29) with the Northern Light Bomb. 4/10/05 1. Champion Carnival - Block A: Taiyo Kea [2] beat Love Machine Arashi [0] (4:01) with a horizontal cradle. 2. Champion Carnival - Block B: Buchanan [2] beat Jamal [0] (8:50) with the Iron Bomb. 3. Champion Carnival - Block A: Satoshi Kojima [2] beat Shuji Kondo [2] (15:44) with a lariat. 4. Champion Carnival - Block A: Giant Bernard [2] beat Kensuke Sasaki [2] (7:50) with a Reverse Splash. 5. Champion Carnival - Block B: Keiji Muto [3] drew Toshiaki Kawada [3] (30:00). I like that Muto and Kawada drew. Train winning over Sasaki is something to remember as the years go by, going over Kea now seems destined.

NOAH 3/5 Results - Kobashi vs Rikio

I think NOAH did the right thing by putting Sugiura in junior ranks. Every juniors division needs a bullyweight, in Sugi's case he provides that with his martial arts style while Hashi plays the stiff brawler. SUWA on the other hand I wouldnt mind seeing switch gears, but I doubt he'd get much of a push at this stage in life. Great juniors are hard to find and I don't think NOAH will sacrifice the 5'8'' KENTA although female fans would totally buy him busaiku kicking Rikio for the GHC belt any day of the month. NOAH failed to keep Ikeda and now they have Morishima and Yone to think about. Hell, Shiga might bulk up a little when he comes back and finally get some serious wins.
