Edward Norton and P.S. Hoffman easily on my list as well. Min-sik Choi Tadanobu Asano Zhang Ziyi from young Asian actresses Ethan Hawke and Guy Pearce get honorary mentions.

It might be that its late into the night over here but I cant seem to find the "Matches, Matches, Everywhere" forum on the DVD site. Where is it? You have to register in order to see it.

Chuck actually comes out dressed like Chono, well sorta; leather jacket with chains and sunglasses. Completely impossible to buy. Stamboli has a good look, tried a quarter inch mohawk for a few days and now he's back with a bald shave.

She did the ass waxing joke on the Roast years back. Weird how in her mid 30's she's doing what she should have done 10 years ago.

Considering how popular it is to book juniors with heavyweights in tag matches, no junior is ever safe. Although NOAH usually lets juniors pin each other in such "mix" tag matches.

And he will participate in this year's Champion Carnival: BLOCK A: - Satoshi Kojima - Kensuke Sasaki - Love Machine Arashi - Taiyo Kea - Shuji Kondo - Giant Bernard BLOCK B: - Keiji Muto - Toshiaki Kawada - Kohei Suwama - Jamal - Buchanan - Chuck Palumbo So he beats Kondo, Arashi and possibly Kea (hope not). It'll be interesting to see if he gets a monster push off the bat or a slow start like Malice and Buchanan got. Block B will have some ugly ugly matches.

Had a good long week of movies Man On Fire - 6/10. Good acting from Danzel and Dakota. Marc Anthony didnt ruin anything. Style which they used to show subtitles was pretty funny, most likely aimed for the lazy eyed audience, topped with sing along music which took away the grittyness of the film that I was expecting to be more dark. All About Lily Chou Chou - 8/10. Movie i almost saw in 2001, but didnt due to 9/11. It's completely mesmerizing with imagery and music. It's a film which shows no hurry to to bring us the ending. It keeps floating with an ease, though some things could have been detailed further, like Hoshino's process in transformation to becoming a "monster". Don't Tempt Me - 5/10. Interesting concept done in the most subtle fassion without even trying to bring out viewers emotions toward the characters. Flirting Scholar - 5/10. One of the least likeable Chow films. Even Gong Li couldnt save this with her looks. Thus not worthy of a poster.

Speaking of surprises I couldnt believe Elix Skipper was born in 1967, according to gerweck.net

I dont think Jesus Aguilera is 29. He was born on Feb 29 and that's about all I ever came upon when reading bios on him, unless you gotta strong source. Garrison Cade is also young, 25 or so.

Yep and I like what Stamboli did to his balding head.

I actually prefer him over Chuck/Rico whose looks and ring talent I completely dislike. I just hope they don't nominate Albert as Kojima's first opponent just for being fired from WWE. With booted gaijins, post match beat downs and more DQ decision than in TNA AJPW is becoming a WWE alternative for the fans of the WWE product who happen to be just vacationing in Japan. And that tattoo on his thigh, did he have that for a while?

Alright, we know who the majority of fans in Japan want for Rikio's next title defense but who do you think he should down under his reign? In other words what challengers does he need to face and beat to prove himself as a worthwhile champ with a promise of future reign(s). I have a feeling that in this day and age if they mess up his 1st reign the next one might not even come. I believe he can mess it up as well. Saito and Taue have already voiced their interest and from the two I'd take Taue because beating Saito as you 1st opponent looks as exciting live as it does on paper. Outside of Morishima who is causing interest mostly for his look and relation to Rikio as a former tag partner NOAH is running a tight ship with few real top stars. Companies often try to bring outside big names for the usual job and dream matches, something AJPW didnt always need to do since they had their own very large stable of worhty gaijins and home boys. That's what I think might hurt the new generation champs since the age of healthy/strongly booked Musketeers, Vader's and Hansen's is over. Basically if Rikio gets over the expected NOAH ceiling of Akiyama and Misawa, does he need something more to make an impact outside the NOAH circle, if not will he end up as a closet NOAH champ, strictly by NOAH for NOAH? I bring this up mostly for one reason which is to try to speculate the future of Rikio and other new generation wretlers. In 10 years can anyone come close to establishing themselves as well as Misawa, Tenryu and Muto amongst others did? Sorry if i whored myself out with too many questions, thought this forum needed some juice.

This always makes me realize how much of what I've seen and used to find "scary" become um less scary with time, maybe I'm just useless with lists. I used to be terrified of Hellraiser I as a kid, now it's just popcorn fun at most. Anyways, Audition had a great build up which made the few hardcore scenes even more valuable as I was waiting for something ugly to hit me. I never found old cannibal films interesting but one that caught my attention was filmed with good acting and cinematography, Danny Lee's Human Meat Pies, same director who mixed gore with kung fu. Another good one is Three... extremes, probably my most favorite horror-ish flick in years. This guys keeps telling me that Saw is scary, can anyone comment?

I just remembered Tanahashi acting surprised when he was reminded that most of his matches last year were won via cradle variations and him saying that he will be using more dragon suplexes and sleepers from then on. When I think of cradle bound wrestlers I think of Nishimura (mid-upper carder for life), nameless lower midcarders and rat boy. Not good at all. Nakamura almost from the start was given a finisher which was proclaimed to be very hard to escape from and that's one of many things Nakamura had going for him over Tanahashi in 03-04. At the same time Tanahashi was given G1 finals showdown where Nakamura was apart of some very bad matches. This year more than any will show how these two will take of. The whole TC/IWGP shtick must have been thought out to some extent.
-
I didnt think I'd like a film like that anymore since so many films of the same mold were major disappointments throughout the late 90's. When i saw it last year i was recommending it to everyone i knew. It's just something they don't make often and when they do it usually ends up being short on every end. This movie however did plenty things right and it also made me wanna use my knees more in fights.

Tanahashi has earned much more respect from me and other fans than Nakamura has, who skipped the young lions road and started getting unbelievable wins and press coverage few months into his debut. This might have impressed some but for me it created doubt and then after seeing his matches didnt help me love the guy either. Obviously Nakamura has age advantage and management behind him but Tanahashi is a natural all rounder who excites me with his style almost always. At this point Tanahashi hasnt even beaten the top dogs of NJ, so going down to Muto was a logical move. Why would AJ put over a future ace of NJ before NJ did it themselves? Wrestling there is facing some harsh times and lack of new stars so giving the outside boy a rub might be considered useless at this point. It was great exposure for Tanahashi and I heard it was a farily equally fought match.

Thanks, that's pretty fast for such a recent show. Aside from the main event match I was interested in seeing Doug Williams and more proof of Takaiwa's ever deflating ring value.
-
Is that from a personal hook up or you know a place that has the show hosted?
-
Aside for few matches in NJ (2-3 last year) and Hustle he was full time AJ worker, so I wouldnt call that freelancing.
-
Yeh I found this weird but if it had to be done now was the time. I think without the TC title Kawada has less things to look forward to in the AJ roster which is growing with not so stellar talent. I'm guessing this is what Kawada really wanted, start working major matches for whatever shows he chooses to. This might also be a strong indicator that Kojima will be in for a strong reign. Time will tell.
-
I doubt he will. Unlike how it's done in WWE/TNA former champs almost never immediately chase the newly crowned champion, especially in NOAH booking since title matches end decisively (no dq, count out or even draw finishes). In Rikio's case it took him over 8 months to get another shot at the match with Kobashi.

I say Trish's ass is a work, has Meltzer confirmed that her ass is that big? Clearly the angles in those pictures and the micro string create an optical illusion.

Trying to get in contact with these wrestlers

I think gerweck.net might have e-mails listed for some of these guys in their profiles section.
