Black Tiger got Rikio's highlights listed in a post before mine, the main indicator being the pin he scored over Kobashi in a tag match which showed that he is very much capable of overpowering Kobashi. I must say I was more sure of Rikio winning the title than I was of Kojima getting the triple crown. NOAH does not rely heavy on main event freelancers/outside talent compared to AJPW that have booked these guys under Kawada's reign when he was the champ; Foley, Hashimoto, Tenryu, Tenzan and Sasaki. With that said Kobashi had many worthy and not so worhty opponents beaten during his reign and it was clear that NOAH wasnt gonna waste the belt on an outsider or on someone who had already held the belt. I guess when Kobashi was making his defense against Taue some people saw the chance of a title change but they probably had Rikio in mind as a future champ already and it would look better for him to beat the very long reigning champ Kobashi rather than slow and often comedy match oriented Taue.

I just hope this means more air time for MXC.

"Feeling Randy? - Is the WWE courting gay fans?" no, they just want to let us know that Orton has a soft asshole.

I completely agree with BT. The matches are what make wrestlers into stars in Japan, especially in NOAH where booking is very thought out and sensitive regarding win/loss and Rikio was kept pretty strong in that department. With the GHC title Rikio can now score pinfalls that he would maybe only score in tag matches, which is pretty neat since Rikio is relatively new in the sport and has many things to prove in the main event scene. It's risky and refreshing to push someone with the belt instead of making them into a huge star before getting the belt. For example Rikio with the belt facing Sasaki for the 1st time will hold more interest of the fans than Rikio fighting Sasaki in a non title match, even if Rikio would have been slated to win. and even if you look at the recent polls reported by RD from Green Destiny 25% of fans want Rikio to make his 1st defense against Morishima. Clearly NOAH fans want the new generation to step up and no matter how sluggish Morishima has become fans were made to care about him and Rikio. This is from GD: Tokyo Sports ran two polls to follow up on Takeshi Rikio's GHC Heavyweight Title win at the Tokyo Nippon Budokan. Firstly, the fans were asked to vote on what they hoped Rikio's reign would mean for both Rikio and NOAH; 56% of fans hoped it would represent a generation change. The second question was who the fans wanted to see Rikio make his first defence against; 25% of fans wanted to see Rikio's Wild II partner Takeshi Morishima be Rikio's first challenger, 18% Takeshi RikiMaru stable member Naomichi Marufuji, 14% Mitsuharu Misawa, 11% Genichiro Tenryu, 9% Jun Akiyama & finally 7% wanted to see Satoshi Kojima face Rikio.

He stayed mainly to prove his loyalty to Baba and All Japan legacy and probably in hopes of becoming the ultimate leader and main eventer of the company.

Jin-Roh - 9/10. The whole time i forgot I was watching an animation. Dark story that focuses less on the visuals and more on the characters. Appleseed (2004) - 7/10. Complete opposite of Jin-Roh, many ways like Casshern, based on a thin story and shortage of action that any robot anime requires. I had to cut the Chow marathon short, because i started taking his movies in quantitive vain. I shall watch each of his film once a month.

King of Comedy - 8/10. Very good stuff here, mixture of affection and comedy, to non diehard Chow fans the combo might be tiring but easily one of his best. Cecilia Cheung is too sexy, Ji-hyun Jun has wacky faces and Cecilia has a lightly raspy voice, among other good things. From Beijin with Love - 8/10. A gun which shoots the 1st bullet backwards and the 2nd bullet forward - brilliant. One of the best spy parodies I've ever seen. Chow was still working on his trademark action sequences but everything else including acting was good. Got over 10 more Chow films to view, some havent seen in ages.

Hail the Judge - 7.5/10 Has some dragging weak points, but probably only visible when watching in close comparison to Chow's other films. God of Cookery - 8/10. Explosive pissing beef balls > "extreme" dumplings.

Caught RAW this week and Hassan sounded fine on the mic, Daivari though has an underdog feel and look to him. The sissy manager, tag partner who takes all the falls in the matches. They'll eventually take Hassan into another direction by possibly turning him away from Daivari who'll become just another small lower carder who cheats and runs away from his opponents. I think WWE would never sign Daivari if they werent going to do the angered Muslim minority angles, which means that if the gimmick gets dropped so will Daivari.

I hear Tiger Mask wants to challenge Taka for the TC to do the same thing Kojima did. As much as I'd like to see Mask vs Taka rematch I think Taka needs to hold it for a while, possibly defend it in NOAH and elsewhere.

Curry and Pepper - 7.5/10. "What must I suck if not bullet?" is the mentallity of Stephen Chow in this buddy cop comedy that's probably one of best I've seen in the genre. Old school Chow fast talk that you either catch right away or hope to catch with the second viewing. Jacky Cheung doesnt suck here, just plays the cute cop as best as he can. Some action, laugh a minute jokes and more lines of "fuck you" than in Tango and Cash. At this point a Chow marathon is becoming inevitable.

Tokyo Godfathers - 8/10. Meaning to watch this for a long time and finally did. Nicely done. Simple and something I'll want to see again. Unlike Perfect Blue which left me dry when I saw it years back. The Triplets of Belleville - 8/10. Type of animation I didnt expect to be made in this day and age. Very avant-garde and funny. Third time I watched this and still found it enjoyable.

Just call them Voodoo Murders. And I thought Love Machines was a lousy name for a stable.

Tenzan will have all the time in the world to win the title again, seeing how he has held the title this many times. He was getting a bigger push for the past two years (made look like G1 King) than Kojima was in his career. If Kojima would lose he would lose his complete power as an AJ ace and as a top wrestler in Japan. Like i said before, they will always partially blame it on Tenzan not being 100% but baby - I didnt think the match would last that long. I've dreamt this far so now nothing should stop Kojima for at least few months. I just want him to crush Muto, Chono, Sasaki and Tenryu.

Rey will always have to play the underdog so naturally Eddie will have to take the other part as a heel. And I think it will demand more from Eddie to play a good heel than it takes for him to play his current character - Latino with an upper body spasm.

Are you positive that it was WWE? Because I'm pretty sure he worked WCW from 96 to 99 as a jobber.

1st double post. Much thanks.

Speaking of masks and Jericho they should be sent to Mexico in their masks on an excursion and participate in the sacred tradition of bathroom stabbing. If they survive they should automatically be made into superstars and win the top belts in the same year.

He'll have to go through OVW to pay his dues, so just simmer down.

Havent followed Joshi for almost 2 years and figured I needed to see what has happened to my favorite butch girls on the depleting scene. Obviously this isnt the best way to get back into Joshi but it was a freebie I stumbled upon and since most Joshi recommendations I get from people I either already have or seen this JD show was just a time killer. 9/19/04 - JD Star 1) AKINO def. Shuu Shibuya. Always liked AKINO but this match had no sparks. 2) Kei Akiyama def. Fuuka 3) baby-M & Mickey Yuka def. Drake Morimatsu & Mizuho Ishikawa - probably the most fun match on the card, Mizuho is very sexy and that shoot style isnt a bad thing either. 4) GAMI def. MARU 5) Ranmaru def. Sakura Emi - Too long for what it should have been but amazing how such young and inexperienced girls can work a botched comedy match and still make it look better than WWE's over-staged women's matches. 6) Mariko Yoshida def. Yumi Ohka. Yoshida just seemed uninspired and brain dead in this match but so was the crowd. She's still my favorite. Here's the link to the streaming files, hope they work for you: http://sports.livedoor.com/battle/jdstar/result.html

Master of the Flying Guillotine or One Armed Boxer 2 - 6/10. 8 years after I saw this the 1st time and obviously the film has lost its appeal. If not for the wacky characters the fight scenes themselves are sometimes inadequate and slow paced. Still the gory effects are helpful. Btw Shaun of the dead must be the most 9 out of 10 rated film in the world.

Unless he'll fuck himself up. Most of the time it looks like he is hurting himself in the ring.

Donnie Darko, although not violent it shows an incident of religion and child pornography.
-
House of Flying (Infernal) Daggers - 7/10. For one it's better than what hollywood will put out in the romance/war conflict genre, but it's also a film I easily got over and dont feel like watching again for a while. Can't even say the same thing for the Four Feathers and Pearl Harbor likes.

What was the point of sending Mordecai back to OVW in the 1st place I don't get, especially since he wouldnt gain shit from the 4 months he was back there anyway. They could have masked him 6 days after his "last" match on SD and Meltzer and the fans wouldnt know what hit em.
