Jim Ross referred to the ECW World Title as the "Hardcore Title". HA. :::Lashley has Coach in the "Rack"::: "And we may may be looking at the next Hardcore Champion."
-
"Major League Baseball will announce Monday that the 2007 Fall Classic will start on Wednesday instead of Saturday, USA Today reported." THANK GOD.

I predict that Edge will cost Matt Hardy the World Tag Team Championship tonight.

Anyone shitting on $5 Ninja Gaiden shouldn't be in a Nintendo thread.

"Crowd liked Funaki though (but dude he needs to get new tights, those must smell real bad by now)" Surely, in his Nine Year WWE Career, he has only been able to afford one pair.

A true burial happens maybe once or twice a year. Like Ole Anderson burying Tom Zenk, reportedly. Or Jim Herd trying to fuck with Flair. Or Dean Douglas fucked with because of his attitude/Kliq in Vince's ear, reportedly. Or someone (1-2-3 Kid, Razor) on their way to WCW/leaving WWF, so you make them look like a loser to your new stars. Or Kevin Sullivan booking Benoit in endless Dungeon of Doom feuds. You "bury" someone because you hate them and want their career to DIE and hence, have a burial. Just because they say "You know, Greg Helms isn't really making waves on TV with his title reign, let's have him lose most of the time now and try to use his title reign success to make fans think "Hey, Scotty 2 Hotty beat Helms! Scotty's kinda good again!" doesn't mean they're burying Helms. He has just been given a different role, as an "elevator".

Bobby Lashley will get another crack at Jonathan Coachman...this time in a sanctioned match Monday night on Raw. There is 5-10 minutes of awfulness. I'm sure a promo will lead in to this. Call it 20 minutes of crap counting backstage vignettes. Edge, will be at Raw to say goodbye. I think we get Orton Vs. Edge at Judgment Day. They can't build Edge/Batista in 6 days. And if they're gonna do a DQ finish for the WWE Title, and Vince is retaining leading into One Night Stand, we're not getting Edge over Batista by pinfall. Surely, they can't be THAT dumb?

Reasons for Edge to stay the FUCK AWAY from Raw tonight: Edge should stay as far away from the worthless main event Raw scene as possible. If he gets back in it he'll wrestle the same 2 guys for the next 12 months. If he finds a way to take Cena's title, it has been proven that there is no way to modify the hideous thing at all, short of putting a sticker with the letter "R" on it. From a kayfabe standpoint, Smackdown! has some hot women with Kristal and Michelle McCool, and Maryse, depending on which part of Canada Edge is really from, he may be able to kick some French game. Maria is hot but she smokes cigarettes and will sound like a man when she's 37, and the other girls have all been lesbians at some points (Mickie, Victoria, Candice), leaving only Melina who may or may not be involved with Johnny Nitro, depending on whether or not the writers remember he is on the show. Even tho he has to deal with Matt on SD! regularly now, Raw likes to book Matt for matches so he should avoid the show. As he learned last week, he might get stupidly tricked into putting his title on the line with nothing to gain. I guess being on Raw makes you make idiotic decisions since Kennedy's decision last week made jack shit sense. The Great Khali will beat his ass again.

Okay if you had a choice between weed and alcohol..

WEED Doesn't first-hand make you fat. Chicks that like a lot of weed are usually prettier/less annoying than chicks that like a lot of beer. Doesn't make you puke. Doesn't make you depressed. Has cooler ways to put the drug into your body. -

Shitty card. Full of multi-man matches and awful tag matches. Not interested. Jarrett/Roode, Harris/Storm, VKM/Bashams, Steiner/Tomko teaming, and AJ/Joe used as a throwaway match are the stuff of nightmares. -
What the hell is your point? Wreslting is pre-determined. Some win and some lose. The losers lose so the guys deemed as winners can make more money. Most of, if not all, the "buried" guys aren't draws or suck, or both.

Droz was pretty much an opening match guy in ECW but looked good in brawls. Showed inexperience but also learned quickly. In the WWF, he was good in what he was used for - primarilyquick offense and tag team matches. I met him in 1998 the week before Breakdown and he was really nice, talked about wrestling, his upcoming PPV match with Mero (to which he acted surprised he was wrestling Mero on the PPV, lol), and seemed to be getting better throughout '98. The LOD stuff at least fleshed his character out of being this emotional "get the job done" guy that had some evil, sneaky intentions. The tag team with Prince Albert, although not technically good, had pros and cons. They were good enough power/brawling wrestlers to hang in the lower end of the tag division. The "Albert tries to pierce someone with a HUGE FUCKING NEEDLE" thing was actually really over. Droz then started wearing this big, weird hat and all this female clothing and stockings regularly in matches, which made him look stupid and the fans lost interest. This happened, IIRC, after he lost a match to The Godfather and had to dress up like a hoe. Only...after the stipulations was over, Droz liked dressing that way and kept wearing the shit. The Euro Title match with D-'Lo - I don't remember Droz in line for any singles title push, he was just a member of the undercard tag team at the time of the match. I can remember the flying spinning elbow and flying shoulderblock were big moves of his. Sometimes came off the top. Lots of energy. Not lazy.

As a huge huge Steiners mark, their title changes were mentioned on WWF television, but these matches were never aired. Kinda sucks.

That's correct. No official match happened though, I believe.

That's a pretty awesome DVD. Matches aren't all great workrate matches, but good ways of getting more family members into one match (Rock at WM 13 IC Title, Harts Survivor Series 93, Putski Raw Tag from 97). Really diverse line-up, I'll check this out.

Edge has pretty much scumbagged his way to 3 World Titles (stealing Cena's pin in the 2nd title win). I don't see how this is a good thing. Greg Helms could do the same thing.

Just downloaded Smackdown!: AMAZING SHOW Jillian Vs. Michelle McCool was a GREAT women's match. I usually don't like WWE women's wrestling as it comes off badly. McCool is so energetic and comes off like a real fighter. Both women executed everything crisply, whipped out some very athletic and (dare I say it) innovative women's offense, had enough time to tell their story, and really delivered. Great job. Benoit & Matt Vs. Finley and MVP was pretty good. Benoit's such an awesome wrestler, Finley's unique style was good as always, MVP looked like a "fighter" that was still learning the ropes (but not in a bad way), and Matt was the babyface in peril. I wasn't too happy about the finish, but it was kinda different, so all is well. So far JBL has come off HORRIBLY in commentary. He's using standard WWE cliches and repeating himself WAY too much. The New Down on the Farm Tag Team - Their Name is "The Daulton Boys" are AWESOME LOOKING. The tall one is so ugly and it screams to the viewer: "I just slept with my sister". The shorter one is the talker, and he gets the job done. Uh...Ashley "Live" Interview. She loves Rage Against The Machine. And Kendrick and London are "super supportive" of her. Great. This sucked. The Rage shoutout was weird. Deuce & Domino's feud with Kendrick & London reminds me of the 1991 mini-feud between The Nasty Boys and The Rockers. You've got the high-glying tag team specialist pretty boys against the leather-jacket, sunglasses clad guys that don't fit into this society. I like what I've seen so far. London is channeling Aries with his giant heel-like fuzzy beard. London pretty much kicks Domino's ass. Cool finish. I skipped over Kane and Boogey Vs. Regal and Taylor. Regal in this match sucks. Not his type of match to excel in. Kane and Boogey suck in pretty much everything. CAGE MATCH TIME! The whole thing is amazing. Watch it.

What is your predicition as to what year Vince McMahon gets inducted into his own Hall of Fame?

Since when does IMDB have any credibility? I thought it was just geeks posting "SOUNDTRACK QUESTION FOR VARSITY BLUES..." and such. Katie Holmes was in Batman Begins, and she's pretty horrible (or at least shows her terrible "acting" in films like Go, The Gift, Disturbing Behavior, and BB), so don't gimme that "best comic movie ever" nonsense.

I hooked up my old Super Nintendo a few days ago. Thus far, I have beaten the following great games: The Illusion of Gaia (starts out a Carbon-Copy ripoff of Zelda: Link to the Past but gets amazing, almost a better game). Street Fighter II (Still need Chun Li to take out Vega. Got a Perfect against M. Bison) Final Fight (saw this was on the Wii's VC, so played it and still LOVE this game. Dig the Andre the Giant character references..) -
That video ruled, despite the choppyness of it. Sound worked pretty fine for me.

ECW started the popular indy craze: "Sweep it up, asshole, sweep it up!" While the ring was being cleaned.
