95. Bossman got "YOU'RE A BASTARD!" over...while Lashley, speaking with a lisp against Finlay, failed to get "YOU'RE A BASTH-TURD" over. See, they're very alike.

Flair will not be in the Rumble. Although he wouldn't have to retire by being eliminated (it was established it's 1 on 1 matches), it would devalue the "Flair must ALWAYS win" scenario to casual fans, create confusion with young fans, and cause the announcers to make excuses for a legend.

Benjamin's "skin the cat" elimination was done much better towards the end of BattleBowl 1991, with Steamboat taking out Rick Rude.
-
Prediction: HHH last eliminates Undertaker. The runners up of the 2005, 2006, and 2007 have all gotten World Title matches at WM that year, so Edge/Taker seems likely.

Low Carb Dieting....what are rules?
UseTheSledgehammerUh replied to NoCalMike's topic in Food Folder
Your body has a harder time breaking down the fake sugars in diet soda than it does with water, so drink water for the best results, even though they are both "0 calorie" drinks. Plus, too much Splenda, as in "all I'll drink is DIET DIET DIET soda b/c it's 0 calories" is bad for your bones. -

The ECW is no World Title. TNA is more popular than ECW and the TNA title is a clown's belt. -

HA! Told you. Didn't expect it to be SUPER SQUEAKY CLEAN. Punk must be the scapegoat for TNA beating ECW in the ratings. -

Chavo Guerrero is going to be just 15 World Titles short of Flair's record after this match. I guarantee it. Extreme Rules is a promotional tool that implies weapons. No DQ is a booking mechanism. -

You don't get it yet do you... All PPVs are equal now. There is no "big 4". Great American Bash had the 2nd biggest "big feel" card of the year. Lashley/Cena was hyped more than SSeries Batista/Taker or SSlam Cena/Orton. There are no "crummy" PPVs. At least there aren't any PPVs where title matches are specifically avoided, save for No Way Out.

Should've been done in Philly, back when everyone still cared. Also, whoever called Edge's promos "generic" is silly. Edge is the new Y2J, while Y2J is the new-age metro Bon Jovi.

You guys didn't catch Sir Mo totally no-selling the UNDERTAKER's chokeslam just after Mabel gets counted out? Bertha Faye also totally no-sells Alundra Blayze's German suplex after the 3-count, watch both of these. Savio Vega gets hit by a perfect Lawler piledriver. And pops right up totally no-selling it to make the hot tag to Taker. Hilarious. And yes, by "no-sell" I mean 100% popped to their feet and no-sold it. Watch these moments. -

The first step to people taking Kaz seriously will be getting rid of the name Kaz. It's didn't work as a nickname for Bill Kazmaier in WCW, it didn't work for Kaz Hayashi in WCW, and won't work as a name in WC...er, TNA. -

The original card for KOTR '97 was Ahmed Vs. Taker, Bret Vs. Michaels, and Austin Vs. Pillman in a Lumberjack Strap Match. Ahmed's title shot got bumped to IYH:Can. Stampede, which he missed again. Ahmed/Taker and Bret/Shawn are previewed in WWF Magazine. -

April 14th Nitro You're Missing (I was at this show!) *** WCW Monday Nitro (Live) 04/14/97 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Dark Match: Ice Train & Joe Gomez defeated Ace Darling & Devon Storm (with the unnamed formerly valet Kimona Wannalaya) when Train pinned Darling after a big splash. Dark Match: Madusa defeated Luna Vachon by disqualification when Luna kicked the referee in the groin as Madusa was executing the German Suplex. Kevin Nash announced that Lex Luger would have to go through him before getting his WCW World Title match against Hulk Hogan. Nick Patrick petitioned to become a WCW referee again. 1. Chris Benoit pinned The Barbarian after a flying headbutt. The Dungeon of Doom attacked Benoit after the match. Steve McMichael & Jeff Jarrett made the save. 2. WCW U.S. Champion Dean Malenko defeated Hector Guerrero via submission with the Texas Cloverleaf. 3. Rey Misterio, Jr. pinned Juventud Guerrera with a springboard hurancanrana. 4. WCW Television Champion Ultimo Dragon pinned Lane Carlson with a Dragon Suplex and bridge. 5. WCW Cruiserweight Champion Syxx defeated Prince Iaukea via submission with the Buzzkiller (crossface chicken wing). 6. The Public Enemy defeated High Voltage in a "Philadelphia Street Fight" when Rocco Rock pinned Rage after doing hitting the "Drive-By" on Rage and putting him through two tables. 7. The Giant pinned Big Al (formerly ECW's "911") following a choke slam. 8. Dallas Page (with Kimberly) pinned Konan after a Diamond Cutter. 9. Steve McMichael & Jeff Jarrett (with Debra McMichael) defeated Harlem Heat (with Sister Sherri) via disqualification when Sister Sherri assaulted Debra. McMichael insulted the NFL's Reggie White after the match. White, in attendance, jumped the guardrail but was restrained by security. 10. Lex Luger defeated Kevin Nash via disqualification when the nWo interfered. Dallas Page, The Giant, and Sting made the save for Luger. _______ Quick thoughts from a review I did: - Benoit/Barbarian is good. But they wouldn't show this anyway, right? - Mysterio/Juvy is good. - "Lane Carlson" aka Lenny Lane gets a TV Title Shot and gets a buncha offense, too! - Syxx Vs. Iaukea is an AWESOME little match. Man, Iaukea stunk up PPVs during his little push, but he was red HOT on Nitro. Crowd really liked him. - 911 Vs. The Giant! - Philly gets to markout for Reggie White one last time. Goddamnit, Philly shows were always a little wilder. Especially for WCW who was still the "young virgin" when it came to ECW-esque hardcore wild brawls. The announcers would sell brawling with garbage can lids like the world was going to end. -

Let's see if I'll watch this show...I'm trying to keep an open mind here. Stupid, generic name. Obviously won't be around in a couple months. Stupid. Hoyt and Rave are a terrible team. This makes LAX look bad. I'm down with cute backstage skits. But it's The Dudleys, who are not funny at all. I have no interest in seeing the terrible Dudleys or terrible Havoc on my television. God forbid the Machine Guns get to work a program with someone interesting. Gail Kim is very good. The other three I have no intention of ever seeing on TV. An even worse Dungeon of Doom! This makes no sense. Booker could have been TNA Champion on Sunday without being under contract? Was he paid under the table for his PPV appearence? Definitely be skipping this shitty show. -
I don't like the trade. I value Bourn's future/fill-in/pinch run ability and Geary's sometimes good pitching over Brad Lidge. I don't HATE the trade, it really doesn't make that much of a difference, I'd just rather they go after some other needed positions. But I guess this sets up: Hamels, Myers, Kendrick, Moyer (?), ? as the rotation now. And I don't think Myers and Moyer are going to last the year. Kendrick, the jury is out on. We'll see. GET SOME REAL STARTERS.

"that weird half hour overrun the night after Bad Blood 04" That's because during that Raw there was a 20-minute preview of that AWESOME fake reality show Spike TV had. That wasn't sarcasm. It was great. With the vulture. And the Butler. The girl in the "Porked in Beans" fake porno. What the HELL was that called? I miss the summer of 2004 so much, awesome Raws and that show was great. "that might be a problem if they are pulled over" Greatest excuse ever. "Officer, there was a fight tonight. An Italian man, despite the pleas of his ex-reality star turned wrestler girlfriend, made fun of a film director, drawing the ire of one of his latest film's stars. They argued, and the man walked away, we thought it was over. Then he drove a beer truck at him and sprayed him with the booze, and we got hit with all of it. I swear I wasn't drinking. He accidently sprayed some of the beer on us. It was like, a 40-foot hose full with beer. Surely, you can understand this sort of thing happens all the time." -
