The kid who asked Todd the question did sound quite retarded (seriously); it was an accurate statement. I laughed at the whole thing because it was pretty hardcore for Todd Grisham.

I think that's Conan O'Brien.

What movies will you be going to see in 2006?
The Mandarin replied to CBright7831's topic in Television & Film
Yeah, I had no idea either until about 35 seconds ago. So I'll be seeing that, X3, Will Ferrell's NASCAR movie, V for Vendetta and The Departed. -
So i guess that makes TNA Family Guy (and jarrett and 3LK are simply the annoying "owww, owwww" scenes (where peter hurts his knee). Hmm, this probably makes ROH futurama, so whats king of the hill and american dad? ROH would be some cartoon with a really loud, really interested laugh track. In fact, this laugh track would be different, because it actually laughs at the characters while they're telling the joke. Y'see, the laugh track would never shut the fuck up and it would chant stuff like "This is awesome", "We can't see shit" when something happened off screen, and there would be dueling chants for major characters (and recurring characters). The stereotypical Japs on the show would be greeted with chants of "Arigato" at the end of their scenes. Often, the characters on the program would talk about the laugh track and commend the laugh track for its interest in the show. If we are led to believe that this is a parallel of ROH, all of the dialogue would be hard to hear (unless the new sound system is any good). Now, don't get me wrong, all the voice acting on the program would be really fluid and smart, but it would be often overshadowed by this loud, boisterous laugh track. Each episode would close out with screams of "Thank you", "Please come back" and "Episode of the year" while the credits rolled. So no, I don't think Futurama is like ROH.

Eddie was #1 on my list of "Celebrities I want to be Attacked By" before his death. Now it's Tom Sizemore.

Was it a motion blur.. to the left?

Re: ECW ONS Because the pay-per-view was censored, featured bad/underwhelming matches (Benoit vs. Eddie, Rey vs. Juvie, Guido vs. Crazy vs. Tajiri) that didn't remind me of ECW but of WWE, and had a cheezy finish and spent too much time on people that had nothing to do with ECW. It was alright, but a let down. If you do the math, that means I prefer ECW from 1995-2000 more than I like WWE from 2002-now.

2005 was better than 2004 although they followed pretty much the same pattern: almost nothing happened and nothing is going to happen. WWE from Sept. 2004 to Jan. 2004 was some of the worst fucking shit I have ever seen on television. Thankfully the Rumble was a good (although unspectacular) show that drew me back in for WrestleMania, which was enjoyable. Also, Vengeance was a good show with bad buildup. The ECW PPV was a bit of a disappointment. I didn't think the product got terribly stale until, once again, Unforgiven. The last few months have been fairly lousy with some shining moments (Rey vs. HBK was fantastic). SmackDown in September of 2003 destroys any month of WWE programming since (although May 2004 was good).

I'm fairly certain "Frontier Psychiatrist" has the best choreographed video of all time.

I was reading some of this on DVDVR's message boards until it went kaput. Is it dead for anyone else?

Hey, where's Raw on TSN?

Somehow I was able to recite in my head the post I had made over a year ago, in this thread. Odd.

Saddam should be the one who compiles the Billboard Hot 100 every month or so. That would be just punishment.

Man, you suck.

Don't break up the trend....

Saw this today. I liked what I understood, but some of the stuff was absolutely baffling to me. It's not like I have anything against complicated films (21 Grams and Eternal Sunshine are among my top 10 of all time) but political espionage just isn't my thing. Jeffrey Wright's scenes didn't really register with me; I found them boring and dull until it became apparent what decision he was making. Stuff like the suicide bomber was easy to follow except it felt like they left scenes out. Anyways, I liked some of the stuff and I think it deserves a second viewing, preferably through my television. This time I won't be expecting so much action and kung-fu.

Except that Triple H's love of anal sex was not discussed on Regis.

Cheney should have complained about the treatment of Shelton Benjamin.

I just remembered that "E-Pro" from Beck was a very bad song from this year, as was that System of a Down (possibly my least favourite band) song where they hit like three hundred different notes during the chorus(?). Both songs were performed (very poorly, mind you) on Saturday Night Live, so I vaguely remember them.

I'd like to see Batista vs. Brock Lesnar; Boogeyman, Bobby Lashley, Heidenreich and Animal vs. Big Show, Kane, Chris Masters and Carlito; CM Punk vs. Matt Striker and Piper's Pit with Ric Flair.

Which one has a video that is filmed in black and white and features the Stones as giants walking all over a city or some shit? That's my choice. I haven't got anything against the band, though, "Paint it Black" is one of my all-time favourite songs.

My Humps, Photograph, and a few Green Day songs (although that lousy CD was released in 2004).
