Besides the Batista match, Benoit vs. Edge and Benoit vs. Christian were very, very good Benoit TV matches from this past spring. Better than anything on Raw this fall, actually. Seriously, try and watch them if possible. My top five this year (no major elaboration because I can't and don't wish to defend my own opinions which may have been influenced by others)- 1) Eddie Guerrero-- mainly because I've seen pretty much all of his body of work this year 2) Samoa Joe 3) Chris Benoit (I don't remember any of his work since August however) 4) Chris Jericho (delivered solid work in pretty much throughout the year, is it wrong that I think 2004 and 2005 were my favourite years to watch Jericho wrestle?) 5) Austin Aries or CM Punk or something-- although I've yet to watch the Punk vs. ROH storyline I've mentioned this a few times before. Flair falls off the top rope because Angle won't let him position himself properly for whatever reason. Angle insisted on his damn belly-to-belly suplex and I guess Flair didn't get the memo. Thus the Flair Flop with added Danger. I can't argue with the rest of it, though.

I agree completely. I thought the Vengeance, SummerSlam and post-SummerSlam Raw matches destroyed Angle vs. Cena from No Mercy 2003, No Way Out 2004 and Unforgiven 2005. However, I have yet to see the No Way Out 2005 match. Samoa Joe gets the rub. Who woulda thunk it?

I don't mind as long as Fight Network continues to show Ring of Honor at 9:00 on Mondays. Next September, maybe they'll be at NOTG2 or DGI or something. Hooray.

He's right. I liked Danielson vs. Homicide a bit more than MisawaGQ did but it was pretty much destroyed by Punk vs. Rave the next night. A few cool spots but not much. The four way comedy match is disappointing. It wasn't a laugh riot or anything. Alex Shelley vs. Roderick Strong is good (I think) but nothing memorable. To the point where I don't even remember that match right now.

"Why are you burning a swastika on my lawn?" Hilarious episode tonight. The best blend of comedy and drama in an Earl episode all year. Randy really stole the show tonight. Ethan Suplee is very, very talented. Great stuff. I think Earl and Office are just about even in terms of quality this year.

Awesome interaction at the end there. Decent plot-based episode tonight. Kind of a waste of Tim Meadows, though.

They should have had Kurt Angle come out listening to an iPod.

Shit, I forgot about WWE Fantasy. Hopefully I have Kane.

ROH Generation Next is on free TV right now. It's a beautiful world.

The first guy that they showed during the Grisham pants escapade with his head in his hands looked like the most bored human being in world history. I loved it.

Bret Hart autograph signing? I'm all for it, even if he is apparently a rude old curmudgeon these days.

That's horrible. Kids don't need to see pretentious foreign films. If my kids saw The Barbarian Invasions instead of Monsters Inc., I would be absolutely furious.

Claire Danes' nose disgusts me. I see no problem in Bob saying she's hideous. What he said about Scarlett is a bit of a stretch, but I'm not going to call him a homo for it. However, if Bob says anything bad about Naomi Watts, I'm going to take a crap in Norm McDonald's dinner.

What happened to the ROH website?

I saw Michaels/Jarrett from IYH II online today and it was astonishingly good. Easily the best work Jarrett's ever done in his entire life. ****3/4 because the finish could have been a BIT better, but everything leading up to it was almost perfect. This tops Psychosis/Rey as my favourite match of 1995, and in my opinion, trumps Michaels/Ramon from the next month and Bulldog/Bret from December(?) as the best match of 1995.

Ever Wonder How Scripted The Shows Are Now?
The Mandarin replied to The Niggardly King's topic in The WWE Folder
I knew the Big Show's smiling was scripted. The fat bastard probably hates all of us. -
Seeing the actual freshly wrapped venison made me laugh my head off. I want a fucking bear to go to this guy's house. That would be more evenly matched.

I just watched War Games 1991 and I feel it doesn't hold up much. This year's Elimination Chamber was better, IMO, in terms of wrestling, drama and everything. Haven't seen 1992 though.
-
Not as bad as I thought.

WAR GAMES 1991! I can die in peace.
