Out of the few DVDs I've seen thus far, I'd have to go with CM Punk vs. Jimmy Rave. Everything that can be said about this match has already been said. I really did want Jimmy Rave to die. ****1/4 abouts, maybe more. Then again, I have DBD II coming in a week so Aries/Punk might top that. (I also saw a Aries/Josh Prohibition match this year that was ****)

Oh, that Snitsky. And so wait, Paul Bearer killed a bunch of Mexicans? That makes absolutely no sense.
-
I really want to see a Flair/HHH two-out-of-three falls match because I'm so blindly in love with Flair, I don't even notice that he sucks in the ring. Bring it the hell on.

After talking with Hitman, it seems like we're doing- a) Raw results but preview shows for the big 4 PPVs b) There will be actual match reports where a match analysis is written (the depth of the match review will depend on it's placement in the card, but big spots and near-falls will be described for all matches) You guys will like what's coming up.

Yes.

I didn't find that too creepy just because it looks so much like Allison Danger.

I loved how he was just bouncing off the ropes and Undertaker was about to punch him again until he understood what he was doing.

Heidenreich hasn't improved at all. He's just in the ring less, which means less time to suck. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, he's in the ring less but when you've got Road Warrior Fat as a tag team partner that doesn't really help. Seriously though, the face paint added *1/4 to that match, making it.. *1/4.

Topher Grace so badly needed to play Spider-Man, it's not even funny. He'd be much better for the role than Tobey Maguire.
-
Somebody needs to bring a "John BADMAN Layfield" sign.
-
Eddie and Batista's segment was my favourite from SmackDown so far this year. "I'm all about lurrrve, holmes!" Heidenreich's face paint was spectacular.
-
Well of course he likes racism.
-
Haha, wasn't that move botched?

Boo. Why not stupid old Maria? -
Warrior is so bad, I don't even want to see people slandering him. He's just repulsive.

Why isn't USA airing a pre-Raw special focusing on new characters or even a program showing what went down after the switch to Spike?

I wouldn't say the match was a case of "a blind squirrel finding a nut" but rather a smartly booked gimmick match that protected both guys and ended a feud. I think that if Cena and JBL knew about this match before WrestleMania, then both of them probably knew that JD would be the better match.

Booyah. I've finally topped my nemesis, HHHfearsDivorce.

I forgot to mention how Benoit had two very, very good matches with Christian and Edge two weeks in a row. Like, ***1/2 matches. Whoops.

Cena vs. JBL is probably the MOTY for WWE. It was vicious, it was exciting, full of good spots, told a good story and gave the crowd what they wanted to see. Giving Cena/JBL a gimmick blowoff was a good idea considering that for the most part, the action didn't live up to the writing during the feud. I'd say it's about ****-****1/4 and is the best match ever for both guys. Cena has had several better "wrestling" matches (before and after) but I can't say the same for JBL, who's match with Benoit was okay and that's about it. Angle vs. Michaels is a very good match when it comes to in ring action but kind of fell flat when it comes to being a dramatic match. Michaels could have brought some extra energy into the match, but he didn't. Vengeance delivered more "bang" but did not deliver the same quality of actual wrestling. ****, ***1/4 in that order. Michaels had a better match with Jericho at WrestleMania XIX that is my choice fror Jericho's best match ever regardless of the finish. Benjamin vs. Michaels was very solid for a Raw match. They hit all their spots correctly and it just looked good. It's depressing to see what happened to Benjamin after that match. The Elimination Chamber match was very entertaining but was booked poorly. It was a very good match on an absolutely awful show. Eddie Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio was an alright feud with one standout match. However, this match really depended on the "story" and the heat of the Eddie-Rey feud was not really at a peak. It's still a very good match and even moreso when you take into consideration how disappointing the series of matches were until that point but I think it just lacks in comparison to HH '97 (of course) and wasn't as good as the one right after WrestleMania XX either. It just should have been a bit of a better match. Angle vs. Flair was an unexpectedly hard-hitting brawl and I think it did a better job of making Angle look like a star than Rey's victory did in their feud (Michael Cole saying everything Rey did was "out of desperation", plus the feud continued until you wanted to see Rey lose). HHH/Orton was good but Orton/Undertaker Parts I and II (and soon to be III) are better and are Orton's MOTYs, IMO. Money in the Bank was alright. John Cena had excellent PPV matches with Chris Jericho (twice) and Christian as well, and he's become really tremendous when it comes to pay-per-view shows (if he has a good opponent and good booking). I didn't see Cena vs. Angle at No Way Out but heard good things. Awesome-Tanaka was fairly decent but I remember how much I loved their ECW matches and it's not exactly equal to the rest of their series. Michaels vs. Hogan was a really enjoyable match for me and that was mainly due to the hilarity of Shawn's bumping. Velocity had some pretty good stuff this year, thanks Paul London. To summarize, so you don't have to read the above posting- And I really hope to add Cena vs. Angle to that list. Cena is WWE's MVP this year when it comes to PPV (and occasionally TV) and needs to be the company's #1 guy regardless of Triple H's return. Anyways, all of the above is my stupid opinion so you might not like it and then you'll have to argue with me.

I think Masters gave Flair a bit too much offense and the finish was pretty bad, but their match was alright. Flair takes really harsh bumps once in a while. He got FLATTENED on the floor from that frigging sidewalk slam. Ridiculous. Angle's suplex on Cena/Tomko was alright looking. Matt Hardy needs to ask for his release. It would be in the best interest of himself, WWE and me. Decent Raw.

I was almost going to say something about all the guys Brooke "blue" in their cars to get her single on the air, but I'm glad I didn't have to go that far. -

That dog Brooke is going to have to puff on some people's tails if she wants a career in the recording industry. -
Yeah, I just watched this Jack Evans v. Alex Shelley from TAC Pt. 3 and I thought it was an absolutely tremendous match for less than 15 minutes. The match itself had a really good flow to it. However, Jack takes absolutely every sick bump imaginable including some sort of botched 630 where he lands headfirst on a chair after the match. And that's what I'll remember it for. ***1/2. One of my top five ROH matches of the year.
