    Whatever happened to...

To wrap this up, Doink married Mrs. Baba and Mo spontaneously combusted (legit). It was turned into an episode of CSI.

Austin Aries should be hired and he needs to beat The Undertaker in a retirement match eventually (after a mentor/student storyline). Just because.

    Danger Zone 8-22-2005

I enjoyed the way you read Just John's dialogue. "Dominick lives in a house of liiiiieeeees." Good show so far- I'm about halfway into it.

    Rewriting History

Austin's been injured in attacks during the past few months, so it's expected that he show some sign of long-term damage. Also, we're trying to get Owen Hart over as a credible threat. Austin can hold his own in a brawl against Owen, it's just when he gets stubborn and tries to use the Stunner, Owen counters and then dominates. "Stone Cold" will still receive his mega push, for sure.

Wow, those two previously unannounced matches have actually provoked me to buy the DVD tomorrow.

PWG Battle Of Los Angeles Thread

The hype behind Evans is three things. One: His incredible team with Roderick Strong and his use in the old GenNext multi man tags. Two: No one in America gets the shit kicked out of them better than Jack Evans. Three: He wants to improve more than anything else, and has been. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Jack Evans is also absolutely hilarious. His comedy work is great. He's like the guy from "Malibu's Most Wanted", except humorous.

Thanks for the feedback on the Raw shows. I really like each show myself, but I'm kind of biased. That time period is great to work with. D-Generation X: IYH on Wednesday.

    OAO Raw Thread for 8/22

Cena/Jericho was once again very exciting. I think I may even like tonight's match more. It was better than Angle/Benjamin, which is a disappointment. I thought the overall show tonight was really solid. Chris Masters wasn't boring, Chavo cut a hilarious yet very offensive promo and Ric Flair did his off-the-ropes elbow drop on his coat. Swank.

The Evolution of the WWE Viewing Audience

In all honesty though, I think Delirious would get more over with the kids than Rey Mysterio if he was put on WWE TV. The guy is just so goofy it has to work. Make him somebody's sidekick. "Ring ring ring- Bananaphone!" would sell 10 billion t-shirts.

I swear to God they do. Rey Mysterio action figures disappear faster than RVD's selling after leg work.

    The Summerslam Thread

Jordan/Benoit didn't really happen. Jordan's reign is possibly the worst and most undeserved SmackDown title run since the brand split, narrowly beating out the Basham's. Thank God Benoit has the title, I ask PLEAD for Benoit/London or Benoit/Regal at No Mercy. Edge/Hardy was absolutely awful. Where were all the submissions from Hardy that Dave Meltzer promised? Bad, bad, bad stuff. I hate both guys. 1/2* Eugene/Angle was a okay squash for Angle. Bad comebacks by Eugene. Kill Eugene off, PLEASE. * Cena/Jericho was pretty exciting. Not much more than that. *** I missed part of Undertaker/Orton, but what I saw was a below par compared to their WrestleMania match. I'd give it ***, tops. I will rewatch it though because I liked their other stuff. Batista/JBL was okay yet dull brawling with a good finish. Thank you for keeping it less than 15, Vince. 3/4* Eddie/Rey had two major gaffes, but nothing else was THAT bad. My friends and I did NOT like the ending there, though. Not a great feud for either man. ***1/4 Hulk/Michaels was very entertaining crap. Michaels did a tremendous job of overselling absolutely everything, making the fight look very fake. I kind of liked the stupid finish. Kind of. ***1/2, my MOTN. EDIT: Overall, I thought this was a decent show. Vengeance had better wrestling, but it didn't have a more enjoyable main event. This is the second best three hour wrestling show I watched this week (I saw ROH's Nowhere to Run on Tuesday, which absolutely blew this show away).

Their mediocrity-fest at Royal Rumble says no to that one. Ditto for the match a few weeks before that one on RAW. I'd say his match with Taker at Mania was better then both of those. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh yeah, Orton's WM match this year was better than any of his Intercontinental Title defenses, save the Foley match. It was very good.

Alls I knows is that Matt Hardy better use some awesome submissions in his match tonight, or it's gonna blow.

In my opinion, Randy Orton has had much better chemistry in the ring with Triple H than he has with Chris Benoit. I'd give Orton-HHH from Unforgiven 2004 ***1/2 while I'd give Orton-Benoit from Summerslam 2004 (which I saw live) **1/2. But that's just me.
