Anyone heard if Manchurian Candidate is good? It looks alright.

My closed captioning just picked up JR's commentary as "Thank God Grenier did not sing the Can D.N.A Tornadian anthem." ..?

Tony K. called Ken Jennings a dickweed.

Ken's "meep-meep" after mentioning the roadrunner was hilarious. -

eBay Auction Yeah, I know it's not news, but seriously-- what is wrong with America's youth? "The Sutton" was priceless, but I was in tears when it hit "Sarvip Baker".. Who the HELL is Sarvip Baker?

Actually, today would be the birthday of another friend of mine, rugdotnet. ..it's too bad he got hit by the piano.

Shit son, that's a hate crime. WHY MUST YOU DISCRIMINATE, HUGO?

Have a Nice Day, Foley is Good, Tonight in this Very Ring, Hogan's book (Hulk Still Rules?), Can you Take the Heat? (still haven't cooked a damn thing), The Rock Says, Tributes, 100 Top Pro Wrestlers of All Time, The Stone Cold Truth, To Be The Man (reading that a second time right now) and possibly more (uh..all the PWI Almanacs, if those count as paperbacks). Holy shit, that's a LOT more than I expected. I read other stuff too, not just wrestling material.

Earlier today I was listening to the Spanish feed of the Pay-Per-View and Hugo said something that sounded like either "Your cactus is ripe" or "You smack the porch light" and that strongly offended me. YOU'RE A DEAD MAN, HUGO.

Odds are somebody's going to come in and vote for John Wayne. But they're going to bold his name, so it will be like: "I vote for John Wayne."
-
Haw, everyone I voted for got through ('cept Hanks, but Pacino is great anyway). Jack Nicholson Kevin Spacey Al Pacino Edward Norton Reasoning for vote #1- De Niro has had some of the greatest performances of all time, but my favourite performance (and certainly the most terrifying one I've seen) is that of Jack Nicholson in The Shining. The rest was all easy.

While I'd like to see a review of Undertaker/Brock, I have yet to see the tag team ladder match. Tag match, please.

My thoughts- Tajiri/Rhyno vs. Coach/Cade was entertaining for what it was. Not as fun as Coach/Tajiri from Backlash, though. * Chris Jericho vs. Batista was a badass match. Batista = the supreme hoss. Liked the finish, but Jericho should win next month. **3/4-***(!) Ric Flair/Eugene vs. La Resistance was enjoyable at first but got really silly/dull after a while. Eugene did all the Flair imitations way too quickly for such a long match. When Flair started doing all the things Eugene mocked, then it got really tired. ** anyways. Kane vs. Matt Hardy-- I didn't dig it. I thought Bischoff and Shane McMahon from SummerSlam '03 was a much better hardcore match (and it was overbooked better as well). I didn't pay attention much until the finish. 3/4* Randy Orton vs. Edge was in my opinion, better left as a house show match. The headlocks/chinlocks were very boring, and Randy's no Rocky, so I couldn't really get into the Nation-esque fan turn. It's good that Randy got all the heat back onto himself, and the only part of the match I got into was the nearfall finish. Dragged on too long. I liked their RAW match better. Not a fan of Edge and was disappointed that Randy dropped the title. **1/4-**1/2 Molly vs. Victoria was standard RAW fare. * Triple H vs. Chris Benoit was no doubt the best match of the night. The rollup wasn't too sudden and didn't hurt the finish. I'm fans of both men, but it's a shame that Benoit's reign is likely going to come to an end next month. ***3/4 Overall, an okay show. Worth the money (half-price), but I wouldn't say it's better than Backlash. From what I saw from Bad Blood, it was definitely superior. Edited: Meltzer and everybody replying to WrestlingObserver is saying that Orton/Edge was an excellent match. I don't know what the hell I was watching then, I'd much rather take some of the recent RAW tag matches (Benoit/Edge v. Orton/Batista being my favourite) over it.

He's definitely not worked Gregory Peck or Gene Kiniski, so you can take them out. I'm pretty sure he's tagged with Dawn Marie before, but he's never fought Jazz. Oh, and he's worked Undertaker in a 5 vs. 5 in 2002 that saw Test finish off 'Taker with the big boot. He worked Tyson (then "Travis") Tomko and his special needs brother Kevin Fertig on Jan. 10 with Val Venis. Lance Storm beat Nick Dinsmore on Feb. 20, 21 and Feb. 22. -
Ken Griffey Jr's MLB for the N64: God, do I love that game. Up there with Super Alfred Chicken and Donkey Kong Country as one of the best I've ever played. Anyways, my Cleveland Indians (who were still undefeated, last time I checked-- 2 years ago or so, I've been playing this one season since 1997) have obviously, the best pitching staff in the game, and Hideo Nomo was one of my best. Anyways, it was 9th inning against the White Sox (if I recall), and Nomo has pitched a perfect game so far. By this point, he's in the red zone (green is healthy, yellow is tired and red is clinically dead or whatever), but I decide not to pull him hoping I could get a perfect game. So it's TWO OUTS and the batter I'm facing-- BUNTS. So Nomo runs after the ball and throws it to first-- and misses by a mile. There goes the perfect game. I did strike the next batter out, but I never did get that 0-0-0. Maybe I should hook that system up again. Oh, and then Ken Griffey Jr gets injured half way through the season. Luckily, I had a good replacement for him. He's not nearly as good as Piazza, Bonds, Thome or even Burnitz, though (yeah, I had a SWANK roster). Ah, memories.

I'm gonna find some lame jokes and then somehow insert luchadores into them, instantly making them better. The joke (pre-lucha) See how much better it is? Coming up next: WCW announcers!

Yeah, he jobbed on a few Coliseum videos a while back. Last I heard he bought the rights to The Dark Patriot. Tom Brandi bought the rights to The Original Patriot from Del Wilkes, and they've been feuding on the indy circuit. Actually, he starred in "To Kill a Mockingbird" in possibly the greatest movie performance of all time (or so I hear). Search him up on IMDB.com. -

Hennig and Lance were on the same side in a six-man tag during the Heat prior to WrestleMania X8. -
True. In their J-Cup '95 (I think) match, Benoit busted out the Liontamer on Jericho. It was quite odd to see. Hearing Jericho scream like a little girl whilst in the hold was pretty damn funny, too. So was Jericho yelling, "Come on motherfucker!" From what I understand, Jericho's language during the J-Cups would make Richard Pryor blush.

Greatest Screenwriter of All-Time Tournament
The Mandarin replied to Crimson G's topic in Television & Film
Charlie Kaufman is definitely one of the most creative screenwriters ever. Michael Mann did a great job on Heat as well. -

Cool/Historic Stuff You've Seen Live
The Mandarin replied to Boner Kawanger's topic in General Wrestling
WWF- Steve Austin's first match back (to my knowledge, otherwise it was at least one of the first) since neck surgery. One of the first WCW superstar invasions. Christian turning on Edge. WrestleMania X8- Hogan vs. Rock, HHH wins title for the first time in a year and a half. -
I'd prefer seeing Triple H win on Sunday with Eugene's help, and then Eugene finally turning on Triple H at Vengeance, giving Benoit back the belt. Because if Benoit wins Sunday, there's no way he's retaining when I go to SummerSlam. Really, though, what's the difference between Triple H with the belt and Triple H without the belt? I haven't seen any difference since WrestleMania. He's still been the most focused-upon wrestler, getting WAY more attention than Benoit. Benoit retaining/winning back the title won't change anything unless Benoit is given a credible opponent not named Hunter (and that's REALLY hard to do). I, for one, just want to see Benoit win back the title at SummerSlam because Benoit happens to be my favourite wrestler, and I'd like to see him win the match in person.
