It looks like Bertuzzi is the one who got Crawford involved, not Moore. Moore probably had no choice once Bertuzzi got Crawford in the middle of it. It would look pretty shady to sue Bertuzzi and the Canucks, but not Crawford if Bertuzzi is telling the truth about how it all went down. Also, it doesn't look like Moore is asking for more money. This would just split the liability with another party if Moore were to get his (up-to) $38mil. Also, the race for 8th will heat up after tonight as the Flyers get taken behind the woodshed by their fathers, the Devils, tonight.

I don't know if anyone watched the Flyers-NYR game on VS last night, but if you missed it you missed the worst production that I can ever remember a nationally televised game happening. - butchering names all night - going into a discussion about hitting on Kim Catrell - repeated instances of thinking they were going to commercial, followed by the announcers talking as if they were off air, coming back from their off air discussion, another 15 seconds of game action, and then finally going to commercial at the next dead puck - see third point but replace commercial with studio update - a good 3-5 minute stretch in the second intermission where the put up the score and just panned the crowd while starting and stopping a bud light promo - dropping the HD feed for about the last 10 minutes of the game and showing only the standard version I would have been entertained if this had happened two months ago when the season lulls, but at this point in the season with what that game meant to the Flyers I was not in the mood for a mickey mouse broadcast like that.

Agreed about keeping weekly changes. I like not having to remember to deal with the league every single day.

Actually I waited til he cleared waivers, so he was a FA this morning when I grabbed Schilling then him. None of the players remaining were worth giving up my waivers position IMO, so I just waited out waivers and he slipped through. I was pretty surprised.

I am pretty shocked that Brandon Wood lasted until the 19th round given that prospects were getting eaten up like candy. And I guess since everyone is doing it: C: Carlos Ruiz 1B: Lance Berkman 2B: Robinson Cano SS: Miguel Tejada 3B: Mike Lowell OF: Vladdy OF: Pat Burrell OF: the healthy side of Moilton Bradlou (Bradley for now) Util: Thome B: the DL side of Moilton Bradlou (alou for now) B: Josh Fields SP: Francisco Liriano SP: Yovani Gallardo SP: Matt Garza RP: Joba Chamberlain RP: Carlos Marmol P: Gil Meche P: Hiroki Kuroda B: Pat Neshek B: Ervin Santana Punted saves and steals, but the saves don't bother me as the holds will make up for it (given the IP requirements I can't see having solid stats in both categories).

His foot was free, then came down straight onto him. So I don't buy the tied up excuse in the slightest. I love the end sequence there. Thomas stones Carter on a breakaway and then Biron gives up a god damn 40 footer. I saw someone put it perfectly. In the OT, on the 3-on-3, the Bruins were playing 2F/1D while the Flyers were playing 1F/2D. That shows one team trying to win the game and the other team trying to ride out the 5 minutes (to lead to a shootout where they suck balls anyway?!?).

Well, obviously they needed to let him back for the last regular season game to get him back up to speed for the playoffs. Campbell: "In attempting to free himself, Pronger carelessly and recklessly brought his foot down" See, just recklessness, not a stomp. I appreciate Campbell making it so easy to see through his bullshit.

Definitely reasonable. Counting playoffs as basically as the same as 2-3 regular games is fair. I'll believe that when I see it though.

I am loving the fact they had to be shamed into looking at this play. And after seeing decent footage for the first time, I fail to see any difference between this and Simon's incident. Anything less that a Simon suspension just proves, IMO, that the name on the back of the sweater is the key deciding factor in these things.

Can we put a deadline date on this like Wed (19th) or Thurs (20th)? That way there is time to get the rosters in and make any potential moves before the lineups have to be set next Sunday for the Monday start.

You better hope the Flyers don't make the playoffs. If they do, no matter how they play or what seed they end up, they will end up against NJ in the 1st round because god hates Flyers fans. So any scenario with the Flyers in leaves you with a better chance of drawing Montreal.

I don't see the big deal with it. Being in his position (no 2007 keepers) you need to take risks for the future. Stash them in the two DL spots for this year and Carpenter and Johnson should be nice value next season. At this point are there really any guys that are getting passed over that offer more upside? At round 17 you are pretty much in now or never territory. I do think he took Carpenter too early....because I wanted him to make it to me in the 13th you bastard.

Terrific. Cote, Downie and Boulerice are all out of the lineup tonight. I guess John Stevens wants to set an example (of course that would mean Randy Jones should sit since it was his fault last night, but they're boys so you know). There is no excuse for Toronto not taking runs at players all night long. I don't care if they don't have the personnel for it, they should still run over the pussified version of the Flyers.

Milton Bradley, OF, Tex If him and Alou can just be injured at different times during the season, Moiton Bradlou will be a nice 3rd OF.

The TSM 2008 NFL Mock Draft

Given that I don't think he is there at 57 in the real draft it is a good pick. I think there is enough hype about him now that if the Dolphins wanted him they would need to use that 33 instead of the 57 to get him. I don't think it is worth waiting 6-7 picks if he is the guy you want, just pull the trigger and be glad your guy is on the team.

    TSM Fantasy Baseball 2008

Now that is how to run through a batch of picks. Did Bengie Molina have the lowest Runs per HR ratio ever last year (38 runs, 19 HRs) for someone with more than like 10 ABs or other than the big time Howard and Fielder types? When you knock yourself in half of the time when there are only 38 times during a full season, that is all bad.

Definitely would not hurt for people to be a little more liberal with the pm usage to send their picks to someone.
