Ok, going on the assumption that HP = Hit by pitch, I got hit 23 times in one season? 23 god damn times? Sweet merciful crap. Since the next highest was 5 I think my assumption is safe. 23 fucking times.
-
I would have been one.
-
Because there were 48 SBs thrown in with the solid hitting numbers.
-
I like the fact one of my teammates has 8 HR with 111 RBI.

Yeah, but you can let me dream a little here. I figure someone will pay him closer's money and give him the job, making it doubtful he becomes a Phillie.

"It's one thing to base a movie on someone, which you can do," Mango said. "It's another to continually harp on the name for selling and promoting without any permission or compensation, which you can't do." Yes, because lord knows that the name of Chuck Wepner was a big part of the promotion of the film. I do think it sucks, a bit, that Stallone won't throw him a bone. But really, just being the inspiration for an idea, I doubt is anything legally binding. It isn't like Radio, where the movie is about the person.

Chad Johnson signs a contract extension. Espn.com Third-year wide receiver Chad Johnson, one of the NFL's emerging young stars and now the centerpiece of the Cincinnati Bengals passing attack, on Wednesday evening signed a lucrative contract extension with the club, ESPN.com has learned. The extension, which is for five years, was confirmed by league sources. The Bengals are expected to announce the deal later this week, perhaps as early as Thursday. While financial details were not yet immediately available, sources said the extension could be worth about $25 million in so-called "new money," the amount that Johnson will receive beyond what his current contract was worth. The eight-figure signing bonus is worth $10 million to $12.5 million. Figured I would throw this in here. Didn't really necessitate it's own thread. I am a little surprised they gave him that much money already, but the Bengals aren't really in a position to have their players tempted by FA.

If Millwood does decide to come back to Philly (something I seriously, seriously doubt) it would make me a big fan of his. It would show he has a set of brass ones and the thickest skin of any athlete I have ever seen. Granted, his performance makes me not want him back, but it would certainly boost his character in my eyes. And a back end pen of Cormier Urbina? Wagner :does that happiest fucking dance that was ever happy danced:

Has the series always consisted of so many one off episodes? This is the first season I have watched and they seemed to have no story arc save for a couple points (usually involving Chloe and Lana-Clark will they won't they). Is that the series M.O. or is this season a little different than previous ones?

What the fuck do the Jaguars need him for? They aren't going anywhere. Fucking communist Jaguar dickheads.

What? Do you mean that trying to pull what you did against Dave Campo on Bill Parcells is a bad idea? And no, that is not an "in hindsight" statement. Even if it worked it would have been a stupid move.

CJ Parker certainly had some kind of depth.

They may not be that good, but they were the better team in their game against Dallas. They handed them the game, and now having to come up to Philly doesn't exactly spell a walkover.

I would be shocked if the Cowboys didn't make the playoffs. Currently, they have a 3 game lead on the NFC's 7th seed. All they have to do is go 3-4 from here on out, and they are in.

I though ROY got split into offense and defense. MVP: McNair Off. ROY: Davis Def. ROY: Nick Barnett (I am not too familiar with the defensive rookies, I think he is leading all MLB's (or at least NFC) in tackles. So that gets him in here) Honorable mention: Clinton Hart (fuck you, I get a homer pick) But I do think he has done a great job filling in for Dawkins and want to see him get some love. Offensive Player: Jamal Lewis. He is the Ravens offense, as opposed to Holmes having the defense spread out more in front of him. This could flip with Priest any given week, however. Defensive Player: Ray Lewis Coach: Bill Parcells Executive of the Year: Panthers GM. Whoever it is. For getting Stephen Davis and getting John Fox a defense.

Three way dance, three way dance Sorry, old habits die hard.

Oh, there is nothing wrong with what Gary did. It is the ref's decision on that stuff and until the ref says stop then you attack the weakness. I was just under the impression that in previous Pride events they would stop and look at cuts, if necessary. If the cut is too bad then they stop the fight and award the win to the other guy.

The Arizona Diamondbacks are dilusional. The Philadelphia Inquirer today mentioned that they are asking the Phillies, for Schilling, for three major league caliber players starting with Brett Myers. BWAHAHAHAHA Just for that I hope the Sexson deal is not true and they get stuck with Schilling.
-
If a two or three year extension gets put out in front of him, Schilling might change his tune.

Tony is good people in my book. He plays a great straight man, to Jack's renegade loner. -
By that point they may have a full on working relationship with the UFC so you could probably steal at least two from there for a 16 man tourney.
-
I figured they cut the Randleman-Sakuraba fight some slack in that regard, because they though Sak's best chance was to be in that position. And I just kind of assumed that they wanted Sakuraba to win. But it really should have been broken up many times. Yes, that fight did make the later decision to break Jackson-Silva look really bad when you take that into account.
-
That was more along the lines of what I was asking. I have only been getting these since Pride 26, so I really don't know if there are that many. I was just curious since you were already cutting people like Ricco and Herring even though, it seemed they would somewhat deserve a spot in the tourney, if they had enough for 16 to get them in.

The One And Only 24 Season 3 Thread

At that point, I hope she dies at some point in the season. God, this show brings out the mysogyny in me. I find myself hating all of the female characters. I wanted Teri to die in Season 1, by the end of last season I wouldn't have minded seeing Kate getting hit by a bus, and this season I already hate Salazar's wife and am 50/50 on Michelle.
