    Feuds that never Die!

So again I will ask when has he had the chance to make fans care about him in a feud?

    Feuds that never Die!

What was it that RVD did to make the fans not care about Kane/RVD? Cut horrible promos in his 0 seconds of mic time? Drive them all away by getting no offense in while the owner's son plays superman?

    Feuds that never Die!

The "feud" where RVD played pinball off Kane and Shane ran in to make saves? And when did RVD feud with HHH? I thought their feud was based around HHH is the champion and RVD got the title shot.

    Feuds that never Die!

And if Hardy and Austin weren't feuds, then what feuds has RVD had that show you he hasn't gotten people to care about them?

    Feuds that never Die!

Jericho was the champion. RVD wanted to be champion.

    Feuds that never Die!

People cared about RVD/Hardy, the brief RVD/Austin, and the beginning of Jericho/RVD.

    Baseball Preview for Today

Ah fuck. That sets up Millwood on Sunday, doesn't it. The way he has pitched against the Braves this year, he isn't really the guy I want to see on the mound to end it.

    Baseball Preview for Today

I think tomorrow decides the wild card race. If the Phillies lose they are done. I don't think they could win the last two, and if they go into the final series of the season down 2 games it isn't happening. If the Phillies win tomorrow, they at least get one of the last two and go into the last weekend tied. I can't see them not coming up big against Atlanta on the final weekend. Tomorrow is the biggest game Millwood has ever pitched. It is going to determine how much he is looking at this offseason.

    Feuds that never Die!

Hard for RVD to be in a feud when he can't give a reason for people to care about it Are you trying to say that RVD should be setting up his own feuds now? It is impossible to get people to care when you aren't booked in a feud. And Jericho/RVD had the beginning of a feud before RR 02. So they had about a 1/4th feud.
  10. Shane will win at SurSer. It would be a perfect fit to have him go over Kane there. While Vince goes over UT in a buried alive match. Right there, after years of dominance, the brothers of destruction are brought down by the McMahon family. Throw in Stephanie going over Sara in a match and we are set.

    Why can't EVEN MARKS......

How can you discredit his jumps? It takes guts to jump 25-30 feet into a giant air mattress. No marks that I know take his jumps seriously, because they are so ridiculous looking.

    Official College Football thread

Does LA really care about football either? And don't get me wrong, I don't care who the two teams are. But I seriously doubt you would get two teams that aren't too sexy TV wise in the east. And I can't see a network not getting a team they want in there somehow. And yes I believe the BCS is a big conspiracy with the TV companies.

Mr. Rant & other Seahawks fans

Did the Seahawks ever really have rivalries with the AFC west teams? From the outsider perspective it just seemed like it was those four and then Seattle just hanging around in the division.

Oklahoma and USC aren't major schools? Oooookaaaay. Need to brush up on your college football history. There is a difference between being a major school and a big name school. OU and USC have great histories and are great teams, but they are not going to have anyone in the eastern half of the county interested. (well, casual fans, diehard fans will watch any two teams) And losing the east coast drives television people nuts. If you ask people in the east to name 15 college football teams those two might come up.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Season 7

I remember looking into the Gentlemen story when I first saw the episode. IIRC, the story was written about stealing, in general, in society. So the best I could ever come up with was just the Gentlemen were thieves. Nothing more, nothing less. And I figured once they finish with a town, they move on to pillage another town.

OPS and strikeouts I agree with. I think the underachieving team is more a credit to Thome than a detriment. It was supposed to be the year of Abreu-Thome-Burrell becoming a god like trio of 120 HR 400 RBI. Instead Burrell died, Abreu decided to just stay where he is as a player (very good, not great), and Thome has done what he was brought here to do.

    Baseball Talk

Thome is tied for 3rd in NL 1B fielding percentage. And is tied for first among people who have played over 125 games at the position. And I don't see why leadership is a bullshit quality. Should it be taken into account as much as everything else? Of course not. But should it be a piece of the puzzle? Yes.

28 more games. 9 more extra base hits. 36 more runs produced. Gold Glove caliber fielding. Leadership.

I would put him ahead of Pujols, because the Cards would still be good. Without Thome the Phils are awful. And I think the Giants would still be contenders without Bonds, and he hasn't produced as many runs as Thome. Thome 184 runs (R + RBI - HR) Bonds 148 runs Throw in the fact that Thome is the heart of his team and I think that makes a case for him.

Thoughts on the Iron Man Match

Taker was the one who pulled a *** match out of Cena. Not the other way around. And Cena + Lesnar is terrible, doesn't matter if Cena has a cold. I want to see Cena pushed, but there is no justification for a push based on workrate. As for this match I would put it ***. I didn't go in with high expectations (I thought WM was overrated), and the match didn't do anything to bring me in and change my mind. Having taped it, hoping for more, I am certainly not going to ever watch it again. They should have saved the third installment of this feud for a year or so, until Lesnar got some experience. This just seemed so paint by numbers. Where was the **** match UT pulled out of A-Train if he had this mystical power? What mystical power? UT has had his working boots on lately. Six months ago a Cena/UT match going *** would have been a miracle, but over the last couple of months UT has been good. I hate saying that because I am tired of him, but it is undeniable.

    Fantasy Football QB controversy

I would pick Hasselbeck. And as long as Jerry Porter is out I would take Maddox over Gannon.

I wouldn't discount the Mets. They are all young guys playing for jobs, so they are going to be busting their ass. On the other hand the Phils are going to be playing a "we don't give a fuck anymore" Braves team on their final weekend. And Jim Thome should be NL MVP. Just thought I would throw that in there.
