I can see that. I remember Brandon Duckworth having a run or two lower ERA with Todd Pratt than Lieby. But you would think with Maddux and Lopez's experience they could work through it and learn. What is it, 10 years now?

Weirdest things you've heard at a game

I fucking hate that everybody hits guy. Not because of him personally, but because of all the morons that do it now. I remember a game I went to earlier this year, a guy sitting next to me started doing it. Then he talked about "Yeah, I...uh...used to sit next to that guy and....um...helped make the chant. Yeah." There is one vendor at the Vet I enjoy. He sells programs and his pitch is along the lines of "The Phillies program, the finest piece of literature you will ever read. Shakespeare himself never wrote anything like the Phillies magazine."

Ok, as I watch the Phils pound the Braves again, I am left wondering what Javy Lopez ever did to Greg Maddux? I know this gets brought up often, but especially this year it is absurd. Maddux is down this year, and Lopez is tied for third in the league in HR. So how is it that when Maddux pitches, he can say get Lopez out of here?

    Shaniqua marks....

Is it just me or does it look like she got some face work done? Unless the 25 pounds of makeup just made her look different, but her face looked a different shape and everything.

    TNA fails to impress

I am not complaining that the show was not worth the penny I paid for it. I am complaining because with their big best of show, the show that is supposed to get people to pay $10 a week from now on, was nothing special. And I am still trying to figure out why this thread has WWF bashing in it. If you're arguing that the WWF sucks as well, you would be correct. But when you are a PPV company, you don't get the benefit of pointing at the other guy and saying "See, they suck too."

A lil help with my fantasy football....

I would probably start Maddox for the safer option. I would also start Boldin. Jeff Blake has his patented tunnel vision and with Shawn Springs out he will probably stare at Boldin all day.

What DVD set should I get...

Well let's see. She is cute as all hell, she loves sports, and she will even fall for a nerd. I can see what about that character is great.

Now the big question is which Sabrina Lloyd is hotter? Sliders, redhead Sabrina or Sports Night dark haired Sabrina? I'll always go for the redhead.

What DVD set should I get...

Um....I agree. Not much to follow up on that. I do like the couple of early episodes with the soundtrack, now, just because it sounds so weird. And I love Sabrina Lloyd.

    TNA fails to impress

Since when has the WWF had anyones full undivided support? If TNA ever gets a TV deal, I will start watching it. The 5-6 shows I have seen haven't really been anything special, but I would give it a chance for free. But I am not going to pay ten dollars a week for a bush-league looking wrestling show. And Vengeance was better than all of the TNAs I have seen put together, so I don't think it is lame if I say the WWE puts out a better product.

What DVD set should I get...

I don't think that show got screwed, it was just an oddity. It wasn't the half hour sitcom that the network made it seem and it isn't the kind of show a network is really going to give an hour slot to. If Sorkin had made the West Wing before this, he probably could have gotten it an hour slot to be a comedy/drama.

    TNA fails to impress

So your arguement backing up TNA's bush league tactics is to say that the WWF sucks and has bush league stuff? "TNA, Watch us because the WWF sucks too" I don't care what the WWF is doing. Their angles have no effect on TNA.

I am going to second this nomination for picking up Sports Night. I love this show and will stay up til 3 in the morning to catch the eps on Comedy Central sometimes. BTW, I just got new DVD rack and rearranging my collection I realize i am quite the TV junkie. Simpsons 1,2,3 Buffy 1,2,3,4 Family Guy 1,2 Oz 1,2 Transformer 1 South Park 1,2 Sports Night Sopranos 2 (1 on VHS) Futurama 1,2 24 1 (2 coming this week)

TNA 1 CENT PPV ON TONIGHT

Ultimate X looked about ** at best to me. There were some neat spots, but all in all this is the type of match you are embarrased to watch in front of other people. Just people falling all over the place and the ridiculous climbing speeds. Their climbs put the patented ladded match slow climb to shame.

TNA 1 CENT PPV ON TONIGHT

Ultimate X killed the show from the beginning. The cage match tried to breathe life back into it, before Shane/Raven finally came and pulled the plug. Why would you start your best of show with the biggest clusterfuck (not the good TLC kind) you have ever aired?

TNA 1 CENT PPV ON TONIGHT

The cage match was good, but quite overrated. There were way too many blown/awkward spots for all the accolades and MOTYC responses it has gotten. I am currently watching the 10pm replay, and I find myself wanting to change the channel to Family Guy.

Farnsworth, I thought, was going to become a stud closer. But after a while he showed that his entire repertoire was throwing a straight 100 mph fastball.

Well they did get Clement in the Alfonseca deal as well. Besides was Willis even a real hot shot prospect at the time? I seem to recall when the trade went down people were pissed because the Marlins were dumping salary and only getting some mediocre prospects in return.

The *Official* bps21 NFL Power Rankings (Week 1)

One more reason to be mad. Correll Buckhalter, the best runner on the team, starts the game. Misses a poorly thrown ball, runs once for 0 yards, and is never seen again.

The *Official* bps21 NFL Power Rankings (Week 1)

Sheppard did not take Mitchell's job. Mitchell is gone because the Eagles did not want to give him four years like the Giants did. I thought it was the right move, but it was unpopular with most Eagle fans. If you want to argue who took the job it was Brian Westbrook, and he couldn't catch a punt clean to save his life. You say "If not for a dropped pass." Even more reason to boo when they are blowing chances at the end zone. And I would wager money if you went up to each fan and said, "Why are you booing?", the defense would get mentioned by one drunken idiot. Between Reid's play calling, McNabb's fear of throwing to a receiver, and the abortion that was the offensive line there was plenty of reason to be upset. Eagles fans have been stewing over last January's game for the past eight months. And after all of the hype, the best stadium opening show ever, and the rabid atmosphere surrounding the place, when you are rewarded with the team playing like it is the 5th preseason game, you aren't going to be doing backflips.

Well there goes the Bills season.

The *Official* bps21 NFL Power Rankings (Week 1)

The fans booed when Lito Sheppard (the guy who replaced Mitchell in an unpopular move) had the Lito Sheppard Dance Party style of punt returns. And they booed when they were rewarded for all of their enthusiasm with a performance that goes down as one of the worst halves of football this team has ever played. Yes, fuck the Philly fans for having the gall to boo that effort by the players. It makes me laugh, that anytime Philly fans boo something, the poor performance is immediately forgotten and it become Philly fans just being their typical rude selves. That performance deserved to get booed, and Andy Reid deserves to get punched in the fucking mouth for his day after press conference comments. And I still think the Eagles are ahead of the Giants. I didn't buy their performance as anything great. Kurt Warner and Mike Martz handed them that game on a silver platter.

Twins Play off Tix on Sale

To anyone who has been to the Metrodome: How big is the difference between the seats in the lower and upper pavillions? It seems pretty ridiculous that there is a three hundred dollar difference between the worst and next to worst sections of seats.

And you aren't kidding about the atmosphere of a sellout. At the Steve Carlton bobblehead game, that was the second loudest I ever heard a crowd. Loudest: Game 7 Flyers-Toronto this year.
