The big question at this point in the season is of course: Who were your biggest fantasy team duds of the year? Hitter: Pat fucking Burrell - Most drafts I snagged him in the 4th round if he was still around. Pitcher: Danny Graves - There were probably bigger names who were busts, but Graves was just so abysmal he out ranks them. I wasn't expecting Derek Lowe numbers out of him, but 4-15 with a 5.50 is just absurd. Reliever: Jose Mesa - I was expecting 35 cheap saves with a 4.50 ERA. Figuring he woulnd't be good, but would manage to keep his job.

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=1609364 "I think Mr. Geiger wants to start a revolution. He's acting like a slave-master," Brown said Thursday night. "If Andy Geiger wants to act like God, than this ball game is over." Honestly, does Jim Brown think before he speaks? Calling an AD a slave-master for suspending a kid, who has at the very least misled officials and investigators. Does he think this will help rally people around Clarett? As a side note, if the team with the no.1 pick uses it on Clarett they need to have a hammer party. An injury prone, headcase, who never even proved his abililty in college going first overall is insane.

Do you read Peter King's columns over at CNNSI.com? In his Jets preview he was talking about how he was having problems against 7th round picks and an undrafted guy, in his own drills. Did Mike Mamula warn no one about the workout wonder?

Man, this game is great. I was a little worried about what the Skins could do going into this season, but now I have no doubt that the Eagles will sweep the two games.
-
Hopefully on tuesday, they send a call to Philly with a realistic offer for AJ Feeley. And this is out of my wanting a pick rather than helping the Jets.

If he was completely unwilling then they should have let him go if necessary. No problem with that. If Ted Washington is what cost them Lawyer Milloy they are going to come to regret that decision. Ted Washington is worthless, he will play 20 plays a game max and be dead by the fourth quarter. Especially since not only do they lose Milloy, but Washington certainly isn't worth the 4 million they are going to be penalized next year.
-
If they hadn't signed Washington would they have been able to keep Milloy? And was Milloy not willing to renegotiate or just not willing to resign for what they were throwing at him?

One great love story that ended happily was the WWF version of Elizabeth/Savage. Sadly life didn't imitate art, but that was great. -

If two people love each other, there can be no happy end to it. -Ernest Hemingway For me, a happily ever after ending, is just too neat and tidy. A happily ever after ending can be good/great, but it will lack the ending that make most people remember things as classic. -
Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Season 7

I would put Buffy/Angel ahead of Buffy/Spike just because there was more love feeling in their storyline. The scene where they are walking in the snow during the day is one of the most beautiful scenes I have ever seen. A don't get into the Spike/Buffy as much I think, because I just started really watching in January. I have caught up through DVDs and FX and it is a little different with Spike seeing his character evolution in the span of 5 months as opposed to 5 years. You don't really get the full effect of it. And how far is it before you get to trolling/flaming when your only response is that you are stupid/ignorant and thats it? -
"Lets see, Angel/Buffy love relationship; the best love story ever told" This comment from Mole in the BTVS thread in Movies seems to have set him off. Every bumped thread was bumped after this comment was made.
-
Good lord, that Buffy/Angel thing really got you pissed at Mole didn't it? To go drudging through old threads to bring up Mole stupidity is a little harsh.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Season 7

Yeah, I don't watch many TV shows that would incorporate love stories, so a very good one is going to be the best to me. I am sure there have been better, I just haven't seen any. -
Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Season 7

I do think it is a little unfair to claim that a TV plotline can't match up to classic literary love stories. TV is a new medium and it is not right to disregard anything that happens in said medium, just because it isn't a classic book is a little close minded. Buffy/Angel was the best love story I have ever seen on TV, but I'll stop there. -
I think that the new weapon in Houston means even more opportunity for Miller to thrive. With Joppru out there will be noone stealing catches. And with Johnson as a legit deep threat, teams will probably start throwing a safety his way leaving a seam up the middle for a TE to sit down in. Throw that in with a year experience together with Carr and the shitty O line leading to dump offs, you could end up with a 60 catch 600 yards TE.

I am fucking tired of ESPN showing Playmakers 30 times a week more than anything else. Ok, you guys have a new series, I get it. Maurice Clarett is as overexposed as they get. After his injury problems and shortcomings in the championship, I don't buy the hype justifying all of this coverage.

My greatest game was around 975 I think. I was Marshall taking on Texas in the second year in the national championship 31-10 at the half. It was one of those games where nothing was working. Then the comeback began. I ended up taking the lead toward the 5:00 mark of the 4th 34-31. Then they go down the field and score, I am down 38-34 with 2 minutes left and all 3 TOs. I drive down the field and score with about 20 seconds left to win the game and national championship 41-38.

That is going to be an annoying day after with those stories. I am all for HHHate, but it is a bachelor party. You are supposed to get drunk and make an ass out of yourself. I know we are going to get thirty articles and threads like: 1bullshit.com reports HHH got drunk, threw up, and hit on a stripper. Then people go off on him. Unless there are reports of HHH going up to someone like RVD in a drunken stupor talking about how he has, is, and will ruin RVD's career can we just ignore the party completly?

AFC North: Pittsburgh East:New England (bye) South:Tennessee (bye, I don't like this team but they will go 5-1 in their weak division meaning they only have to be decent in the non-division games to get a bye) West:Oakland Wild Cards : Buffalo, Indy I wanted to pick Miami for a wild card, but until they overcome their December problems they aren't going anwhere. NFC North: Minnesota (not because of them, but because of GB declining) East: Philly (bye, this team is better than last year's team) South: TB West: St. Louis (bye, easier division schedule puts them above TB) Wild Cards: Giants, GB Wild Card Weekend Tampa Bay over Giants Minnesota over GB (in a dome, Favre chokes) Buffalo over Pitt Oakland over Indy Divisionals Philly over Minnesota Tampa over St.Louis Buffalo over Tennessee New England over Oakland Conference Philly over Tampa New England over Buffalo SB Philadelphia over New England

Got to keep UT strong for Vince. Looks to be a show that I'll turn on at 9:30 and turn off at 9:45.

Miller cought 50 some passes last year and Carr still got sacked 72 times. With Johnson and the improvement of Miller and himself I could see avoiding maybe 20 of those sacks, but that still means 50+ sacks which is ridiculous and dangerous. If Carr can survive until Houston gets an O line he is going to be a stud.
-
With no Price they are going to have to realize that they need short stuff to open up the long passes. I don't think that will be a problem, unless Gilbride is a complete tool. Of course I despise the short pass, because of Andy Reid. Being the complete opposite of Gilbride, you just scream at the TV to throw the ball more than 5 god damn yards.

How much of the anti-ball control concept has to do with Henry's fumblitis? It might be hard on them to plan running the ball and running down the clock if they can't trust their starting RB with the ball. And Stacey Mack, IMO, will make a solid starting RB. Just not this year. He has 1200 yard potential in him, but with that line and the fact that there is no threat in the passing game he is screwed. Carr to Johnson will be a great connection for years to come, but right now it is open season on Carr and he is going to get hurt.
