    The 2009 NFL Offseason

I think this is more just getting rid of a malcontent who would have to fight for the dime corner job in 09, as opposed to a move to stockpile chips for Boldin. That said, if it convinces them to move a no.1 for Boldin, then more power to them.

    The 2009 NFL Offseason

Looks like it is going to be a 5th this year and a conditional (2nd, 3rd, or 4th) in 2010. This is one of those "great deal, who'd we get?" situations. I know it was a brilliant plan on his part to try and get a big contract by quitting on the whole season last year, but shockingly that didn't seem to work. Samuel-Brown-Hanson is a solid top 3 with Ikegwuono coming into the fold this year.

Taylor Teagarden, C At this rate I might be done by the end of the weekend. This certainly went a little quicker than last year.

I thought I saw that the Eagles offered 1yr/3 mil somewhere (maybe Peter King).

    The 2009 NFL Offseason

Dawkins to Broncos Ok, if this holds up and turns out to be true, I am going to be fucking pissed. I don't think he has much left in the tank (a year, 2 tops) and has to be used properly, but he is still the heart and soul of the Eagles. Demps is still at least a year away, and there doesn't appear to be a safety in the draft capable of stepping in Day 1. With the cap room they have, they should just offer some stupid number for one or two years. Overpay, who cares, at some point you have to make a statement that you give a shit about your players and fans. FUCK.

    The 2009 NFL Offseason

Given what we have learned recently about Harrison, him being in Philly full time seems like a bad idea. Besides the fact he is done.

It was Richards then and today. He is the only player in league history with 3 5-on-3 SHGs. And I heart the Giroux.

While trying to be nice (since a beating has occurred the last 2 pages), Krankor has provided within the first three posts of the thread: - ordered selections - team by team keepers - alphabetical list of keepers and on page 2 provided a link to a free list: I mean outside of actually suggesting a selection to you, I have a hard time seeing anything possibly being more organized.

If we are just going to start skipping him, we ought to just replace him so someone can still salvage that team.

So what are we putting the odds at for a successful on time pick here? 10-1?

    The 2008 MLB Offseason Thread

Howard signs 3yr/$54mil This seems like a really good deal for the Phils. It is an $18 mil average for the next three years, when Howard was looking to get $18 mil this year. To get him at the $18 mil with no escalation the next two arbitration eligible years seems like a steal. Plus I like the fact it isn't a long term deal. Having him signed through his age 31 season should give a good picture as to whether he will remain legit or become Mo Vaughn.

I'd vote, if we do anything, replace him and let the alternate make 3 picks (replace Aybar, then 2nd and 3rd round). That team is still salvageable, but if we dick around any longer on it no one would be able to make anything from it.
