Don't worry, I was on the "make him a reliever" bandwagon when that sprung up last spring during his back problems. Burrell is definitely the guy to root for. It would have sucked (well, not really but you get my drift) if they had won and he hadn't contributed. He would have become an afterthought. I am equally amped for and terrified of the scene tomorrow. Currently trying to decide how early to get there. -

I am happy for Jenkins, that he actually got to contribute. He has been playing the cheerleader to perfection while only getting in to be a decoy for most of the postseason. This still feels so weird. -

As ulcer inducing as this is, it should bring Hamels back into play if there is a game 7, since he only threw 75 pitches last night. So as much as I hate to say it, this is good. -

Jesus fucking christ can he beat around the bush anymore before just saying when the game picks up. -

I just hope they make an official decision soon so I know whether I can get some sleep tonight or not. -

That's some bullshit right there. The conditions didn't worsen in the slightest over the past 15 minutes. If it was bad enough to call now, it was bad enough to call after the 5th. -

Cardenas for Blanton was totally worth it. What jackass was ever against that trade? turns out: <-------- -

There goes another year off my life. -
I saw it, liked it well enough. But I feel for anyone who isn't very familiar with the first four. There were times I had to pause and try to remember who was who. One problem I did have with it: I was a bit surprised at the end in so much as One thing I really fear is . That does not interest me in the slightest. The group game was a decent enough B story, nothing special with an obvious lesson and tacked on "link". And good lord Julie Benz's boob job was in it's full glory in this one.

Oh absolutely, but a person's mental well being hinging on which Brett Myers shows up can have long term side effects. -

I am just happy to have a little peace watching the game tomorrow. Coming out of tomorrow with at least a split means I won't have a heart attack again like tonight. So happy that I won't even question why Bruntlett was left in to bat instead of using Stairs/Dobbs....well, maybe still a little questioning. -

Was there any point to the Dom storyline other than the creator being all BUTT hurt because the character bombed last year?

I am along the opposite thought line here. Facing a team that already had played three games before your own opener is not going to be a good thing and I think that is how it played out with the Rangers ready at the drop of the puck. That said I don't know whether to be impressed or distressed that Luca Sbisa is the third best defenseman on the team at this moment. I really really like what I saw out of him once they saved him by taking him away from Kukkonen (jesus christ he sucked tonight), but an 18 year old being your #3 isn't a good thing. Also, it is impressive that they couldn't even go a period into the season before lighting the fuse for a goalie controversy.

It was McCarver on his own, as Tom McCarthy (who was his partner for the day) went down to the field in the middle of the 9th for celebration interviews. So hard to throw too much on him as he was clearly out of his element.

When it comes to Westbrook, I will be thrilled if he is ready the game after the bye week (Chicago next week, Washington, then the bye). That has high ankle sprain written all over it.

I have no idea why the Eagles got away from Buckhalter running the ball in the second half. I think that is part of why the O-line had a rough second half, the Steelers has no need to look for the run (except a few Booker runs, but you don't need to look run to stop him). And that flea flicker where McNabb got hurt was fucking stupid. At the time he was 15/15, there was no need for a trick pass play when you are gouging them with real pass plays. That said, great defensive performance and Sav Rocca looks like he has figured out the American game which is nice to see.
