A John Atyeo Fact "Bristol City striker John Atyeo was the first player with a surname ending in 'o' to pull an England shirt on: he did so six times between 1956 and 1957." He was also the answer to this question until last year. "Only one time has the goal that qualified England for World Cup been scored outside the United Kingdom, who got the goal and who were the opponents?" John Atyeo, Republic of Ireland. http://www.malvholm.plus.com/bcl0203/Atyeo_Factfile.htm

Cotterill scored his first Premiership Goal tonight for Wigan, could be something if he crosses instead of trying to beat 5 defenders(which he is getting better at to be fair)

Those days were great, if a player had one good season you could sell him to a Prem team for a few million with a sell on thrown in(we still do it now) I remember Blackburn spending 9 million on Nathan Blake and Ashley Ward.

Morris is at Yeovil now after a trial with us and has played about 15 games, did he ever do that in a season for you? Another Enoch goal and Home Win last night, bad game but it was our 4th game in 9 days up against Carlisle who hadn't played in 10 and we were without the best Left Back in the League. On a bad note the "Daddys boy" stuff is starting for Lee, most are the Stewart fans who'd have him at the club and hate any Johnson(Gary, Lee or Pete the head Scout) at the club. "Apart from a winnning mentality, 20 more points, 26 better goal difference, peace in the dressing room, McCombe, Enoch and McAllister, 2 happy Keepers and 2 million for Cotts what has Gary done for us" Nice quote on what we've done since Dec 5th 05 when we were bottom. Bring a decent Winger in and this time next year we're where Colchester are(without losing your Manager and best player hopefully)

Pillman and Zenk? Edit: They did team a few times in 91/92, I remember a match against the Pistols on Worldwide. -
Yep, Tinnion got the goal and ended the Souness reign. Wrong Bristol http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/fa_cup/1742618.stm Was that really your first choice side? Your side now looks far better. Only decent players Rovers had were Ellington and a 37 year old Mark Walters, 2 days after beating you they were at our place in the LDV and got beat 3-0.

"You won't get a news item apart from the usual youth promotion news. It should be obvious as he will have your surname, your nationality and have you as a prefered person." From one of the SI Games staff on their boards, it's something that's "Very Rare"

Another home win, 2nd best home form in the football league, Enoch coming back has really helped Jevons. Got Coventry in the FA Cup 3rd Round, we haven't had a good FA Cup draw since 94 and the famous Anfield win.

Looks like Marcus could turn down a permanent move to Yeovil, they can only offer him £2500 a week, he's not getting £5000 a week at any other club so we'd be stuck with him until July.

Patch is out, some big stuff like the Rooney Ban has been fixed. http://www.sigames.com/static/changelist.txt

Another defender Crewe let slip through the net, they wanted Mccombe and Fontaine in the summer.

Beat Forest after pens, in the Area Semi Finals we'll get Shrewsbury, Brighton or Bristol R*****. Jevons scored a good one tonight, while Morgan(Forest's best CB) was having treatment he scored a great bicycle kick from a Lee J cross. Fair play to Basso as well, saved 2 pens and has been faultless since September, now Weale's fit we should have 2 Keepers competing for the spot for the first time in years.

0-0 at Swansea, can't complain about that, got 80 minutes out of Brooker as well. Forest away in the JPT wednesday, a nice 1-0 defeat with no injuries would do me.
-
Plummer's now in discussions about a Professional Contract when he turns 17 in January, with Tony Fawthrop(18 years as Scout, Manager and Academy boss) now at Everton we need him signed as quick as possible.
-
His stats had dropped while a free agent and I wanted to see what 2 weeks training and a few friendlies would do, just surprising he'd retire while about 10 clubs were looking at him. Trials are essential for me, every time a feeder club gets new youths I take them on trial with a chance of a transfer based on my own opinion of matches and training(never trust your coaches on FM)
-
We beat your reserves 2-1 "behind closed doors" at the Walkers the other day, you got an important player coming back from an injury? We're in the 3rd round of the FA Youth Cup after beating Brighton 3-0, Plummer again looking the best player on the pitch.
-
Mido retired aged 27 in my game after being a free agent for 6 months, only reason I didn't sign him was because he refused to take a 2 week trial.
-
I actually want him in the Under 21s until the WC Qualifiers, keep him out of the line of fire when we get sent home in 08(if we get there)
-
Theo Walcott looked good tonight, 2 assists in 15 minutes, nice seeing an English player run at defenders and then stick the ball in the box.
-
P-9 W-7 D-1 L-1 P-9 W-3 D-1 L-5 Our Home and Away form, the Away losses were to teams I'd expect to beat us on their own pitch(Bradford,Huddersfield,Tranmere,Forest and Yeovil)
-
Nice 3-1 win against Gillingham, Enoch scored on his return from injury and we had another goal from the Defence(6 so far this season).
-
Thoughts on last night? Thought that it was an awful game with two sides who couldn't pass a ball. We're still trying to put Lampard and Gerrard in the same side, tried a 4-3-3 and then had Rio playing the long ball into the corners and Robinson is someone who would probably have been 3rd choice at best 10 years ago. Richards looked good, hope Pearce doesn't stick him as CB.
