Not sure how much Redknapp worked with him, Defoe was at Charlton until 99, went to Bournemouth on loan for a season in 2000 and by the time he was back Roeder was in charge.
-
I thought Kallstrom looked ok when he was on, made some nice passes over the top.
-
Best match of the tournament tonight, would like to see Yaya Toure in the premiership.
-
Shaaban was on trial with us a few months ago(3rd Division in England) I assume he's at some scandinavian club? Ecuador's philosophy this tournament is similar to Cameroon's in 1990. Score 1 or two in counter attacks and then keep the opponents away at all costs - yellow or red cards don't matter. Argentina/Ivory Coast should be good, If Toure and Drogba are on form I see them snatching the win.

http://www.crewealex.premiumtv.co.uk/page/...~837933,00.html http://www.bcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/...~837954,00.html Fontaine looks a done deal, when he signs we'll have 7 Centre backs at the club.
-
Now Ballack has decided he's fit I'll say 2-0 instead with him and Klose scoring.
-
Surprised Scotty Riggs/Anton hasn't been mentioned yet.
-
Adu is probably going to join Chelsea when he's 18, there's not much chance of him playing in the 1st team, they signed another 18 year old for 16 million pounds(29 million in dollars) who plays his posistion. Edit: Playing in Europe doesn't really make you much money until your 17.
-
If Lehmann plays the way he does for Arsenal then Kahn's probably played his last game for them. as for the results I'll say Germany 1-0 and Poland 1-0, Klose for Germany and Zurawski for Poland. Edit: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/w...den/5060050.stm bet he feels terrible doing that to his best friend.

Saw this on sigames regarding FM 2007, finally feeder clubs are in. Features for Football Manager™ 2007 PC/Mac/Intel Mac/Xbox 360™: Feeder Clubs - Brand new to Football Manager 2007, and one of the most requested features on Sports Interactive’s forums has been the addition of feeder clubs to the game. This new addition works in all the ways you would expect it to in real life. You can establish your club as the small team who receives loan players from a larger club or a large club looking for support getting your youngsters match experience by loaning them out. Have the first option on players from clubs, and schedule pre-arranged friendlies each season by simply asking your board for a feeder relationship and choose from the list they compile. Youth Revamp - A complete revamp of youth teams sees full youth squads for each team that has a youth set-up, thus giving a much better system for the regeneration of players in the long term game. User Friendly – Football Manager™ 2007 gives players a new easier to use default skin, along with hints and tips throughout the game, and an improved tutorial. In addition to better feedback from your assistant manager and scouts as well as lots more media, customisation and multiple row selection, all this adds up to the most user friendly Sports Interactive game ever. Scouting Revamp - A complete revamp of the scouting system inside the game leads to more information about players and teams being made available to managers, as well as a more realistic methodology for player scouting. This system allows scouts to grow and improve their knowledge-base of the world’s football players. Player Interaction - You can now talk to any player in the world via the media. Player interaction allows you to tap up other teams stars or see if players will buckle under the pressure. An effective manager must use the media as a motivational tool - why not praise your own players in many different ways or shout at them for loss of form? Team Talks - For more varied ways to talk to your team, SI have worked hard to deliver vastly improved team talks at half and full time. Not only this, but pre-match team talks will now be making their first appearance in Football Manager - so you can send your team out onto the pitch with a specific briefing. Edit: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/t...pur/5061068.stm Wonder if he'll remain a wonderkid on the game?

Funny thing about Holland is that Cruyff was actually one of the reasons they didn't win it, he hated their best GK and because of his "influence" they picked one who was at fault for both goals in the final.
-
But there was the mess they had of qualifying,a manager Brazil hated for not picking Romario,Ronaldinho was not happy at PSG,a "dodgy" defence,Ronaldo's injuries and their Captain being injured in training a few days before it started.
-
Something that hasn't been discussed, when was the last time the favourites won the World Cup? From the tournaments I can remember 02: Argentina and France went out 1st round 98: Brazil lost in the final 94: Think Italy were favourites with Baggio,Maldini and Baresi but still lost 90: Holland were favourites with the Euro 88 win and Gullit,Van Basten and Rijkaard at the best club team in the world. They ended up going out in the 1st knockout match.

Do you get all the matches shown live?

6386 Season tickets now sold, but close to last years 7400 if you add on players, sponsors, academy and staff tickets. We usually get rid of our best player once the season tickets are Sold/Renewed.

http://www.fourfourtwo.premiumtv.co.uk/jav...~2919967,00.jpg Be better if they sat in the empty dugouts At least it's better than the Tactics Truck Andy used on "The Premiership" when it started
-
We got Lincoln's other CB for a "nominal" fee.
-
I could see Mexico doing well in the next few cups, they've got a World Youth Champion team and by 2012 Vela and Dos Santos should be in Arsenal and Barcelonas first team easily.
-
If it's proved in court there's no choice, Marseille were sent down a league when they were the European Champions. Might help our teams in europe, looks like the league is kicking off in October. Edit: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/t...ity/5048666.stm Partridge is one of our biggest wastes ever, 150K after Coughlan turned us down for a "better team", plays terrible for a few games, has an "incident" in town and goes to MK Dons, a court Case coming means we're lumbered for 2 years. Gets in the Wales squad though.
-
Their best player is Billy Jones, based on what I've heard from the Crewe Fans and also being dubbed the next Jamie Carragher on FM 06. Edit: Davies to Derby worries me, he signed Hill and Anyinsah and Wanted/Wants Fortune, Derby have no good strikers and might go for Brooks.

Feuds That Could Have Happened But Never Did
deancoles replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in General Wrestling
Hogan/Perfect did happen. -
Getting Michael Reddy for 300 - 350K is supposedly a done deal, hopefully it's something like 200K now with the rest on Goals,Games played and Promotion.
-
Good to see Luke actually look agressive, never done that in 3 years with us.
-
Is that your likely first choice 11 for the tournament? If it is then why is a Midfielder playing RB?
-
How do you manage with the transfer windows of other countries? say you bring in someone at the start of your season from Holland, his season could end up being 14 months.
