Crewe,Doncaster(signed 4 players this week),Hudds,Oldham,Swansea/Barnsley and Forest should be the main Promotion rivals to us, and I think Carlisle might surprise a few.

No Samuel or Zanetti? Scaloni in

If one ever did come in then I'd bet on a Latvian, we're there for pre season and Johnson has "contacts" over there from his time as national manager.

Can see a lot of these moving to the Premiership, Arsenal should get at least 1 of them(Yaya Toure)

:We have a Chairman and Director in Football's Rich list who decline to put their money in themselves(can't blame them) :We need a large board level investment each year to keep us afloat :A young squad with Cotterill and Brooker the only real assets :No Potential for making a profit without being in the Championship :Stadium with 2 stands that need work done(or move to a new one) :An academy that costs at least 500k a year to run :No real history I'm actually pretty pleased with the way Johnson is managing, he has no money to spend so we'll have to get lower league or Frees which is what he did at Yeovil.

"I don't know if this will turn out to be a fore-boding of glory, but The assistant referee has a red flag which, by the way was the colour of England's shirts when they won the world cup in 1966." How long do you think it will take before Motson mentions it?

France have said Barthez is First Choice over Coupet, ranks up there with anything Sven's done. Group A: Germany and Poland Group B: Sweden and England Group C: Argentina and Ivory Coast(Toure and Eboue should end up in the World Cup dream Team) Group D: Mexico and Portugal Group E: Italy and Czech Rep Group F: Brazil and Croatia Group G: France and Switzerland Group H: Ukraine and Spain Edit: Honest Question, has an African or Asian Goalie ever shone in a World Cup Tournament?

You don't know suck unless you've seen a Tony Pulis home display, thank god some idiots wanted him and gave us 250k.

How many good ones have there been since the Palace/Man U one? only ones that I can think of are 91,95, and today, the rest were one sided and/or boring. after 76 years we finally get a player in the world cup finals, even if he's spending it on the Aussie bench. Count yourselves lucky you've got a player at the World Cup. I don't think Pompey has one. Man, we suck. You've got money to buy some who play well.

I saw Walcott playing right midfield for England U17s last year at our ground, gives me more experience of seeing him play than Eriksson. We've released 5 players including Clayton Fortune who turned down a 500k move to preston a few years ago.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/t...ton/4969088.stm Be nice if he joined us on a pay as you play, Johnson helped him and other Latvians get moves to England when he was Latvia coach. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/w...and/4971482.stm Can't see Ferguson(or any boss) going along with that.

We've still got 1 game to play at Southend, It's their promotion party and Goater's last game with 3 sets of fans(Man City got tickets) there wearing Bermuda shirts and hoping he scores(result doesn't matter) Confirmed that Lee Morris and Jon Ashton from Oxford are on trial, will probably have lots of trialists in the next few months.

Our list of Summer "Transfers" which have been talked about for weeks Out Cotterill to Fulham with him staying here until 2007 Brooker to Norwich Phillips to MK Dons or Bristol Rovers Fortune on a Bosman(turned down a 500k move to Preston in 04) Stewart to anyone willing to take him In Fontaine Free Transfer from Fulham McCammon Free transfer from Brighton Phil Jevons and Chris Weale from Yeovil Michael Reddy from Grimsby

Might solve the Gerrard/Lampard problem if Sven put Gerrard in the Rooney Role, shove King/Carrick(depending on how defensive you want to be) in midfield leaving room for Lamps to make late runs in the box. No chance of him doing it though.

'TheFranchise' Mar 29 2006, 11:50 AM I'd love Lee Morris back at Derby, he cost us £3m from Sheffield United as a 19 year old, or something, but injuries really hampered him. He is very, very talented, but has lost his way. It's rumoured he's training with us.

Season isn't even finished and our best player is been linked with Norwich for 750K, looks possible as well, when Port Vale bought Dinning they took out Brooker's Promotion Payment and now we're trying to flog Fortune to them in exhange for the Sell On Clause being took out. Edit: Speaking of sell on clauses, every time we sell a player for a fee we include one(Akinbiyi,Lita,Hill,Rosenior,Amankwaah,Anyinsah)

From the Local Paper, shows how the Swans have bottled it in the run in. "On December 7th Bristol City were bottom of league one 25 pts behind then leaders Swansea City. Today theres just a three point gap, as City close in on the Swans play off place" sending down Swindon on Sat would be good, they beat us on Sky in November to go above us at the time.
-
3-0 at Tranmere, 5th win on the trot, all the results went our way as well. Swindon go down if they don't win at Ashton Gate next week.

http://www.bristolcityst.org.uk/trust_news...icle00074.shtml 30 years since we were promoted to the top division. Edit: Did come at a price though, we went down in 80,81,82 and ended up selling 10 year season tickets for £500, we were only saved by the Ashton Gate 8. http://www.bbc.co.uk/bristol/content/artic...8_feature.shtml

Think what the table would look like if we both had our current managers and squads last summer, we'd have been up already.

http://www.leaguemanagers.com/awards/tissot-league.html Haven't been top of that since we won 11 in a row. Edit: http://www.bcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/javaImages...~2895405,00.jpg Our Home Kit Next Year, can't wait to see what replaces our awful Champagne away strip which Johnson's admitted he hates.
