We've signed Gavin Williams from Ipswich for 200k, played under Gary at Yeovil and has 2 caps for Wales, by all accounts he's a great player who's had an awful time with injuries lately.

got my keeper, main defender and creative winger sorted and now I'm picking my 1 forward. With national records of 68 goals in 62 international appearances, 365 goals in 427 Bundesliga games and the international record of 66 goals in 74 European Club games, he was by far the most successful striker of his day and one of the very few players of 50 or more caps to score more goals than he has games played. http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/images...ler_emps275.jpg Gerd Muller

Need a quality left back and there really aren't that many I can name off the top of my head. Scored in 2 World Cup Finals, 86 caps for Germany and 8 goals, considered to be one of the greatest free-kick takers and crossers of all time, He was well known for taking penalties with his right foot and taking free kicks and corners with his left foot. http://www.planetworldcup.com/LEGENDS/brehme.jpg Andreas Brehme

1st ever European footballer of the year, England international for 23 years, 700 league appearances for 2 clubs, first footballer to be knighted, and the worlds most famous player until a certain Brazilian came along. http://news.bbc.co.uk/olmedia/655000/image..._wembley300.jpg Sir Stanley Matthews

Another World Cup Winning Captain, went 1142 minutes without conceding a goal for Italy between 72-74 and earned 112 caps, the oldest player ever to win the world Cup and voted 3rd best keeper of the 20th century. http://us.news1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/fif...i/537780284.jpg Dino Zoff

Personally I thought beckham was the best player in Europe in the 98/99 season, must have set up half of utd's goals that year.
-
That back four in 98 was amazing, made up for having Stéphane Guivarc'h up front on his own.

http://i.a.cnn.net/si/2007/writers/world_s...beckenbauer.jpg He's Dominant in the air, composed on the ground and can help the side break into attack with a strong run from defense. Creater of the Sweeper position, he captained Germany to the 74 World Cup and 72 European Championships and Bayern to 3 European Cups from 74-76, twice european player of the year and became a pretty good manager when he retired as well. Put me in as well.

I'd be interested as well. We're trying to sign 25 year old Al Ahly Striker Emad Metab who's scored 20 in 39 for Egypt, he'd cost £1.5 million which would break our transfer record.
-
If we win on Saturday Leroy Lita is coming back, he was at the Palace semi and spends most of his time in the nightclubs round here, if anyone one can sort out his attitude it's Gary Johnson. A new defence would be priority next season as well as the only one I can see settling into the Premiership is Liam Fontaine and he's 3rd choice CB at the moment.

Amazing Evening, can't believe how much energy our boys showed in extra time, the next 10 days are going to drag.
-
I was pleased Fulham stayed up, I've always admired Roy Hodgson for managing abroad and learning different styles of football instead of doing the easy thing and staying in England.
-
Think we showed today we're more than just a hardworking side, don't know why that tactical genius Warnock used long ball tactics against McCombe and Carey with no Scowcroft.
-
We've still got to win the playoffs.
-
Best performance of the season today, with Carle,Noble,Mcindoe and Trundle all starting we're back to passing instead of trying to play like Stoke. Glad we got Palace actually, we're much better as underdogs and the 2nd legs at Home which is all you can ask for really.
-
Had one of our best performances of the season yesterday and still lost, we're all praying for Watford in the play off semi. Elliott and Orr both made it into the PFA team of the year, think Lita was the last player we had in of these teams.
-
We won our first trophy in years tonight with a 9-1 win over Cheltenham Reserves in the Gloucestershire Challenge Cup. In fairness to Cheltenham we played Weale,Fontaine,Vasko,Noble,Wilson,Murray(hat trick),Carle,Enoch(hat trick) and Trundle(hat trick) while they had trialists and kids.
-
Good old Barnsley, saw they had Devaney and Howard out and was expecting the worst.
-
Hopefully we'll help you on Saturday, it's the easiest away game we have left and I'd hope to see Adebola and Brooker start up front. Lansdown admitted yesterday that we agreed a deal with Reading to sign Leroy Lita on loan until the end of the season but he turned us down for Charlton.
-
We didn't deserve it today but we won, having Steve Brooker fit again is like a new signing.
