Well done to Cheltenham(with 3 City players on loan) taking 6 points off Leeds, they've even got Brooker match fit which saves us bringing in another striker.
-
Gray's 4th choice at Charlton behind Lita,Varney and Iwelumo and hasn't scored since December 1st when he got 2 for Burnley against Charlton.
-
Seeing our ex-academy player Odejayi terrorising Chelsea was one of the funniest things I've seen in ages.
-
Fantastic point tonight, Boom Boom scores again from a set piece and has really stepped up since Carey had his problems.
-
We got the Best programme award, at the end of season awards I'd expect us to have the manager of the season as well. In that 50 best players thing we had Basso 13th, Trundle 31st(which is a joke) and Elliott 34th with the 2 most consistent players Carey and Mcindoe left out completely.
-
When your 6ft 5 centre half scores an over head kick, you start to believe it's your year. Atmosphere today was great, was delighted that Lee Johnson(brilliant in 2008) got a standing ovation when subbed.
-
How's Enoch doing for you, I'm guessing he's been poor in the air but has worked hard. Since signing Dele our away form's picked up and we don't have those 20 minute spells of pressure in the 2nd half which used to happen every game.
-
Without Dele helping him Michael Mifsud has done nothing, you really should have no trouble beating them. Edit: flukey deflected goal on a terrible pitch against a truly useless southampton side and they call the sags giant killers?
-
Good performance today, most of our wins involve us getting a first half goal and in the 2nd half sitting back so it was nice to see us going forward at 2-0.
-
He isn't a bad squad player, for 6'5 he is very poor at winning headers but he's quicker than he looks and has these bursts of form when you least expect it. He's only been professional for 4 years with Luton using him as supersub for 2 years and Midfielder for the other season so his goalscoring record isn't that bad.
-
Our Transfer window so far, of the players loaned out only Brooker and Myrie-Williams have any future here. In: Nick Carle from Genclerbirligi for £500,000 Dele Adebola from Coventry for £250,000 Out: Phil Jevons(Huddersfield £100,000) Kevin Betsy(Wallsall Loan till end of season) Steve Brooker(Cheltenham Loan until Feb) Alex Russell(Cheltenham Loan until end of season) Jennison Myrie-Williams(Loan at Tranmere extended until May) Enoch Showunmi(Sheff Wed Loan until March)
-
Adebola's agreed terms and is having a medical tomorrow. Isn't a goalscorer but he's always played well against us and he'll win his aerial battles, the best Johnson signings are players we thought we didn't need or didn't want(Basso,Fontaine,McCombe,Elliott,Byfield)
-
I'm waiting for the 2nd Patch(with January transfers) which should be out sometime in February, all the bugs at the beginning really put me off starting any long term game and made me dig out 01/02 again. http://www.fmupdates.co.uk are doing daily updates this week.
-
I'll be optimistic and say he'll actually make it to the summer and spend his "transfer warchest" on England Squad members like Bridge,Defoe/Bent and maybe Carrick before leaving by "mutual consent" in October after drawing at home against Reading/Wigan/Middlesbrough.
-
With transfer deadline on Thursday it seems we're after a striker with Dele Adebola and Joe Garner the only ones we're confirmed to be interested in. If no one signs we're left with Byfield,Trundle,Enoch(who turned down a move to Leeds last week) and Steve Brooker out on loan at Cheltenham getting games under his belt.
-
Jevons has made his Huddersfield deal permanent, did a good job last year in getting us promoted, the double at brighton last season was amazing. We've also loaned out Russell and Brooker(hoping to finally get match fit) to Cheltenham, 20 clubs wanted Brooker but being local he can spend a few days a week here as well.
-
Yesterday was like a friendly, got a crowd smaller than the Coventry game the week before and we were playing at about half of our potential, glad there's no replay. Edit: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ers/7173828.stm Glad the little cheat's found his level
-
We're close to signing an Aussie playmaker called Nick Carle from Genclerbirligi, hope he's more Paul Agostino in quality than Luke Wilkshire. http://www.smh.com.au/news/football/bristo...8949744769.html January should be interesting, Jevons, Russell, Betsy and Keogh are going and there's an evil rumour linking Portsmouth with Marvin Elliott for £2.5m because of the African Nations.
-
No Carey or Fontaine and we still kept a clean sheet with Tamas Vasko(1st game in months) sounding great, he's 6'5 and is better on the ground than in the air which didn't please some of us who were expecting a Nemanja Vidic type.
-
Great day for us, we beat the sheep fiddlers and Jevons scores against the Gas.
-
New England Manager bump Delighted with his appointment, he's benched or Sold players like Rijkaard, Gullit, Papin and Savicevic so I'd expect big changes.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/wiltshire/7131138.stm Swindon really look doomed, you can't go into administration for a third time so it's takeover or nothing.
-
Got a bit of payback for the 6-0 last night, Basso was amazing in the 2nd half and Enoch's really taking his chance up front. Sadly David Noble again only managed 65 minutes with his usual great 1st half, awful 2nd half. Edit: Being fair to Noble, if he could do 90 minutes he'd be in the premiership
-
Great win Saturday, Enoch knocked lumps out of Shittu and had one of his "on" days, Trundle and Byfield always look better when coming on as subs. Looking forward to the Middlesbrough rematch, we've brought in Elliott,Sproule,Mcindoe and the Supersubs and they've lost Yakubu and Viduka.
