How to effectivly kill gimmick matches...

Nothing will top the Unforgiven 99 match with Snow and Bossman. -
They would definitely have put Ahmed Johnson over Warrior if Ahmed hadn't injured himself.I never saw the need to bring in Warrior anyway, Ahmed was mega over and would probably have had the World Title in 97 had he not Injured himself.
-
If Austin hadn't injured his neck at Summerslam 97 then who would he have dropped the Intercontinental Title to? The Most likely place to drop it would be in Montreal at Survivor Series but with the events of that night who would have got the belt?
-
Houllier tried getting rid of him last Summer but Lyon wanted a loan deal and refused to pay 11 million for him.The only time I thought he was ok was in the 00/01 season where he tried his hardest and got into the England starting lineup, then he stopped trying because he thought he'd reached the top.
-
Nunzio will probably get the shot at Judgment Day.
-
Did he ever play for the England Under 21 side? I could Understand rangers paying £6.5 million for Michael Ball as he had just received his 1st England cap and everyone thought he'd be the future England leftback, but 8 million for an uncapped player at a struggling side seems ridiculous.

BEST: Souled out 98 -great opening 8 man tag match and the after match stuff is cool. -probably the last Steiner Screwdriver on WCW tv. -Martel/Booker -Raven/Benoit -Jericho/Mysterio is ok when you consider the state of Mysterio's knee -Nash/Giant isn't that bad. -Bret and Flair have a match which should have been the main event.
-
Why the hell did your board turn the rangers bid down? you could have bought a guaranteed 20 goals a season striker with that.
-
How long before Jackie turns on Rico? I say by June at the latest and we get Haas & Jackie vs. Rico at the Great American Bash.
-
Derby have been in Financial trouble so they probably had no choice but to let him go.Either that or his contract was about to expire and they wanted to cash in.
-
It would have been weird had Warrior been around during the Hart Foundation angle.Would he have feuded with them or would the booking team have done something similar to what they did to the Undertaker and gave Warrior a storyline to keep him away from the Hart Foundation?
-
Jericho/X-Pac and The Main Event save Unforgiven's ass.99 was a poor year for ppvs, the only memorable one in North America was Spring Stampede 99.Shockingly in the UK we actually had some angles on our 2 WWF ppvs, Rebellion(october) had the Stephanie McMahon Amnesia angle start.

I agree, Veron looked absolutely knackered during the 2nd half and makelele should be ashamed of himself. At the start of the Evening I wanted Chelsea to win the Champions League but after seeing the effort that Monaco put in I'd love to see them win it.That's the first time I've ever seen a European team play more British than one of our own teams.
-
Those promos before the Royal Rumble match were good as well, Hogan's interview was longer than all the others put together.
-
The way you could easily identify what arena the WWF was at.I also miss those 30 second interviews you'd see in the top left Corner of the screen while a match was going on.
-
Shame that as long as Heskey's in football he'll be picked for the England Squad, Heskey could play for us(not that I'd want him to) and Sven would still pick him. When the Regular season ends, I'll be the only person on here who's team is involved in the Play Offs so that'll help keep the thread bumped for a while. To be honest I'd rather have us promoted through the Play offs than by 2nd place because it puts us on Sky,we get the short trip to Cardiff and we get a Trophy.

How about all the "Trick or Treat" matches? The Noble/Nidia/Torrie/Gunn angle? Kane setting JR on fire? -
Lance Storm ran in in this match and kicked off the Invasion.
-
Wasn't that the night where jericho showed footage of Vince mcMahon from the 1987 Slammy Awards?
-
Kashin has a match at the Tokyo Dome in may so it probably isn't him.
