Another set of spoilers, from WO: Velocity & Smackdown Tapings from Richmond, VA by Kirk S. Dark Match - Local wrestler def. ??? Velocity - Kidman def. Chavo (Kidman used the ropes for the pinfall victory) - Jindrak/Reigns def. Nunzio/Funaki (Jindrak used his finisher on one of them and got the pinfall) - London def. Akio (I'm not sure how London won it; security distracted my section) Smackdown - Joy comes out to ringside. - Backstage, JBL, OJ, Amy, and the Bashams enter the arena. They run into Teddy Long, who asks what was up with last week. JBL tells Teddy that the Bashams are now the Secretaries of Defense in his cabinet. Teddy makes a couple of matches for tonight ~ Bashams vs Eddie/Booker and JBL/OJ vs Undertaker in a handicap match. - SD opening plays on the screen. Fireworks were insanely loud. - Mysterio/RVD/Torrie def. Dupree/Kenzo/Hiroko after RVD hit the 5-star frog splash on one of his opponents and pinned the guy. - There was a backstage promo with Hiroko complaining to Kenzo about his fascination with Torrie. She was so pissed off she got herself a Bra & Panties match against Torrie next week on SD, thinking she has the better body. Kenzo grinned after Hiroko walked off. - Tough Enough contestants come out. They pre-recorded comments about who they would eliminate this week. Milzan (sp?), Reeves, and Smith all said Puder. Puder said Smith. Reeves was eliminated by the fans. Al Snow told the remaining three that this week's challenge is that they would have to show their feminine side and dress up like women. - Haas (w/Jackie) vs Jesus (w/Carlito). Carlito gets on the mic and asks Jackie why is she with Charlie when she can be with a cool guy like Carlito. Haas hit Carlito, then Jesus beat on Haas a bit and gave him a chain shot to the gut. The match never happened. Haas had to be helped to the back. - Backstage, Teddy informs Carlito & Jesus that it will be Jesus vs Cena at Armageddon in a Street Fight. (I don't think he said whether or not the U.S. title will be on the line, but I'd assume it will be.) - Backstage, Booker & Eddie were stretching with Michelle and the two men argued for the 2nd week in row. - Eddie/Booker vs Bashams. JBL & OJ were at ringside. Towards the end, Eddie was about to hit the frog splash on one of the Bashams when Booker got in the way, complaining about something. Bashams took advantage and one of them used the ropes to pin Eddie. After the match, JBL hit Eddie with a clothesline from hell and did the same to Booker. JBL & OJ give the Bashams props and they all leave the ring. After an ad on the big screen, Eddie & Booker get up, almost fight, but don't. - Kurt Angle Invitational. Angle def. local jobber easily in less than a minute. - After Kurt's match, Luther gets on the mic and says he wants to apologize to Joy for last week by taking her on a date. Joy gets in the ring and turns him down cuz she has a date with Big Show. This pisses Luther off...he, Kurt, and Jindrak are about to put their hands on Joy when Big Show comes out and cleans house. After Angle & co retreat to the back, Joy gives Big Show a hug. - Tough Enough contestants come back out dressed like women. Al Snow calls out Hardcore Holly to be a part of this "challenge". At first Holly doesn't want any part of it, but after Snow implied he was a coward, Holly changed his mind. Each of the guys aka drag queens hit on Holly. Milzan won the contest. After Snow told people to vote, Holly decked him with a punch (that may not be shown on TV). - Dawn comes out, asking the crowd who looks better as Santa ~ her or Jackie. The crowd didn't really favor one over the other. Jackie runs out and the two girls catfought. Teddy comes out and makes a match between them for the PPV. - Taker def. JBL & OJ by DQ when the two men low-blowed Taker. After the match, JBL, OJ, and the Bashams beatdown to Taker to close the show. After the TV cameras appeared to stop rolling, JBL challenged a weakened Taker to a one-on-one match. JBL was the aggressor at first, but then Taker turned the tables, kicked his ass, took out OJ & the Bashams, chokeslammed JBL and then tombstoned JBL. Taker left after that. A couple minutes later, JBL comes to and asks for a mic. He's still on the ground, talking nonsense and acting like a dumbass. It was kinda funny though. When he finally stood up on his feet, he fell right back down. Chimmel thanked us for coming and that was all. It was a very solid show overall. Nothing sucked except for the 2nd Tough Enough segment ~ it was stupid crap I didn't need to see. All the matches from both SD & Velocity were decent at the very least. The crowd was a lil crazy IMO. Mostly everyone got a reaction; Taker got the biggest pops of the night. ===================================================== So Armageddon is looking like: JBL vs. Taker vs. Booker vs. Eddie Cena vs. Jesus Dupree/Suzuki vs. RVD/Rey (man, the tag champs have been jobbing like crazy) Spike vs. Shannon Moore Jackie vs. Dawn Marie (Charlie Haas as heel turning referee) Big Show vs. Luther Reigns And that leaves us with maybe Chavo vs. Kidman in a rematch? Angle and his hometown challenge? The Bashams, who are getting a big push again? Orlando Jordan? Who knows.

I want to see London vs. Akio.
-
Wow, how obvious is it that Haas is turning heel?
-
Women who don't want to take off their clothes in front of the fans (are there any left in the WWE? Christ) are prudish bitches. Oh, and you'd better drink beer and like it, dammit, or Austin will give you a stunner. I'm looking at you, Stacey Keibler.
-
Yeah, I'm wary about Hero vs. Morgan (and I'm sure Morgan will get put over, which sucks), but the cards look fairly interesting.
-
Oh, you probably know this, but ROH is doing a 20% off sale until Thursday night, so now would be a good time to order.
-
Not to the guy that gets a million. But yeah, like the Diva Search it doesn't matter who wins. They'll all get jobs if they show enough promise.
-
Yes, I believe they are. Meltzer's update a few weeks ago mentioned how all the guys were coming along as far as picking up the wrestling goes.
-
I'd go with: -Generation Next -World Title Classic if you want to see Punk vs. Joe's first 60-minute match, if not then skip it -Survival of the Fittest -Death Before Dishonor 2 Night 2 From there, skip August's shows and the 9/11 show, and wait for 10/2, 10/15, and 10/16 to come out on DVD, or get them on VHS if you want. Just my opinion.
-
This was one of the most blatant ones ever. And they showed a replay of it, too.
-
If you pay the $1.49, do you get to keep the match on your computer or is it a "watch it for a week" thing?
-
I believe the Undertaker was going to flush the Big Show's dad's ashes down the toilet. No shit? Yeah, that's right! I remember that now too! The angle was going to culminate at some house party or something, wasn't it? And Taker would return and flush the ashes down the toilet? Wow, they should have done that.
-
Rank these guys from most to least, as far as how "over" they were with the fans at their peak. Also, maybe mention when you think their "peak" was. Hogan Flair Austin Rock Bret HBK Sting Andre What do you think?
-
I wouldn't waste the EC on a show like the Rumble, which is going to draw because of the Rumble itself anyways. Plus that's four guys that could be in the Rumble that wouldn't be because of the chamber match.

I don't know what will happen on RAW in the next few weeks, but coming out of New Years Revolution there is no doubt HHH will be the champ one way or another. I'm really concerned about Smackdown's lack of any direction. RAW seems to at least have a direction right now, whether you like Randy Orton or not. Guys like Batista, Benjamin, Snitsky and Edge are getting good pushes and seem to be really getting over. There are a lot more positives on RAW than on Smackdown right now. Smackdown is just a mess. There are very few stars getting built up, and no direction you can really see them going in. That said, I see Eddie (or maybe Booker) as champ heading into the new year, and losing to Angle at the Rumble. I predict Orton will win the Rumble, so we have HHH vs. Orton and Angle vs. Taker at Wrestlemania. It's really hard to say with Smackdown, though, because who really knows what the hell is going on with that show. Some people have said we might see JBL vs. Cena for the title at Wrestlemania and that's a possibility I suppose, but Meltzer said that isn't the current plan, so I'll go with that.

I think Vince lost confidence in Luger fairly quickly, as he was never really pushed hard after WM10.
-
Well there's the solution to the WWE getting fewer PPV buys. Just auction off the divas panties after every show...

WWE Non-Raw notes from Baltimore by Clancy Gilpatrick Just got back from the Raw at the Arena and thought I would send you the results from Heat and the dark match and my thoughts on the show. Dark Match: Chris "The Masterpiece" Masters def. Julio Dinero Julio was announced from Baltimore and got a big pop. Masters was booed long before he opened his mouth and showed decent charisma. Heat Matches: Val Venis def. Viscera Christian def. Can't remember and I should Rhyno/Tajiri def. La Resistance GENE SNITSKY!! massacred Danny Morrison(Doring) Shelton Benjamin def. Stevie Richards Watch Heat if only to watch SNITSKY's clothesline in the corner on Doring. After Raw went off the air, Orton gave HHH a 2nd RKO after HHH sold the first one for ever. Random Thoughts: I really enjoyed the show live. As far as crowd reactions, the crowd was not that live tonight. They popped for very little and were quiet through the "Desire" video with really no pops for anyone but Hogan, Rock and Austin and those were not all that loud. They had about 35% of the arena tarped off. I would say the rest of the arena was about 80% full, whatever that would be. Also there was NO heat for the Hassan promo, and that was the most aggressive of them all. No sense trying to be subtle. Why wait and let the audience figure it out on their own when they really just want you to boo them as heels. Randy Orton is absoulutely the #1 baby face on the show. There were more people wearing Orton shirts than any one else. It seemed like every other person was wearing some kind of Orton merch. Edge is crazy over with the girls. I mean REALLY over and the dudes really dislike him. HHH got the 2nd biggest babyface pop of the night when he came out for the triple threat. I think Bryan was absolutely right about him wanting to be the #1 baby face and #1 heel at the same time. The crowd is also begging for Batista to turn on Evolution. I hope they wait to pull the trigger but you know how that goes. Clancy Gilpatrick Towson, MD

The WWE is always going to be thought of as a joke. No way around that.
-
How many random women have debuted in the WWE in the past few weeks now?
-
It's only a matter of time before the males in the crowd completely turn on Orton. He'll still get the Jeff Hardy pop from the women, but the guys will turn on him. His babyface routine is so forced, is completely feels like pandering to the crowd, just begging them and saying "please like me! I'm cool because I'm having these chicks strip for you and give me lap dances!" Orton sucks. And THAT'S why the fans are 10 times more behind Batista right now, and Batista hasn't even completely turned yet.
-
Randy Orton is such a tool. He'll never be over huge because unlike guys like Austin and Foley and Rock, Orton is not a cool guy. He's a douchebag tool.
-
Eugene eliminates Maven...anybody else smell a heel turn coming up?
-
None of that "total control" they were supposed to get. Big Vis and Rhyno are gone, battle royal still continuing. As Vince changed the match he ripped on Stevie Richards, saying that "anyone" could win a battle royal and would we really want someone like him as our world champ? Poor Stevie...
