Well, Mark Henry hasn't been cut...
  2. I was wondering just how many face/heel turns took place in Russo's two WCW stints. Help me compile a list here. For instance DDP was turned on in three straight PPVs: 1) Kim Page turned on DDP and hit him with the guitar at Spring Stampede 2000, allowing Jeff Jarrett to win the title. 2) David Arquette turned heel on DDP at Slamboree 2000, hitting him with a guitar on top of the triple cage. 3) Kanyon turned heel on DDP at Great American Bash 2000, jumping out of his wheelchair and hitting a diamond cutter. Now continue!

    Biggest announcer overreaction ever

Wow. That's all you can say for this one.
  5. From Mike Johnson's column at PWInsider.com: I received a press release this morning from a new promotion named FUSION announcing that the company would debut on Friday 12/17 at the Rexplex in Elizabeth, New Jersey. According to the release, former WCW star Evan Karagias, The Amazing Red, and the Maximos are among the braintrust of the company. The release also announced that Pro Wrestling NOAH's Mitsuharu Misawa and Yoshinari Ogawa would be working the show. I've heard but not confirmed they would be working the Maximos in the show's main event. I believe it would be the first Northeastern American independent appearance for either Japanese star. Other names said to be appearing on the show (but not announced yet by the promotion) are the Backseat Boyz, Mike Modest, Donovan Morgan, Sonjay Dutt, and Bison Smith. There is no ticket information available for the show yet, although I assume it will be available on the SAT's website, www.SpanishAnnounceTeam.com shortly as it already features a FUSION logo on the splash page. The release also announced that tickets would be available at this Friday's Pro Wrestling Unplugged event in Philadelphia, PA.

Face/heel turns during Russo's WCW stint

I don't know if they really explained it much other than he wanted to win the title, so he teamed up with Luger to double cross Hogan and take the belt from him. I also know that two weeks after Fall Brawl, where Sting won the title, he had a really good title match with Benoit on Nitro.

    Scott Steiner

For some reason this made me laugh my ass off.
  8. I taped RAW and kind of skimmed through it tonight. I liked Benoit's promo a lot. But did I miss anything, because didn't he say he was going to do something "unthinkable" to Edge tonight? What was that, wrestle him in a normal match?

    Most uncharismatic wrestler ever?

Wait a minute! The fans loved it when he said "YOU...GOING...DOWN! YOU...GOING...DOWN!"
  10. If you had to list Hogan's 10 best matches in his career, what would you put on the list? (if you can only think of 5, that's cool, lol)
  11. BACKSTAGE NOTES AND SPOILERS FOR TONIGHT'S TNA PPV INCLUDING MAJOR NAME SET TO DEBUT TONIGHT & LOTS MORE TNA NEWS by Mike Johnson @ 6:40:00 PM on 11/7/2004 Former WWF and WCW World champion Randy Savage is expected to debut tonight at Victory Road as part of an angle to set up the main event of the second TNA PPV on 12/5. The plan as of this afternoon was for Jeff Jarrett vs. Jeff Hardy to close out the PPV. When I brought up my opinion that AJ Styles vs. Petey Williams should close the show to Mike Tenay during an interview earlier this week, he hinted that a major angle may have been planned to close the show. I think it's safe to assume that Savage will be involved there. Former WWE star Jacqueline Moore (Miss Texas to Jess McGrath) is also expected to debut tonight. She had a long run working for the Jarretts in Memphis before she was hired by the WWF in the late 1990s. My guess is that she is working against Trinity. I do not have it confirmed, but the two names I have heard the most as a possibility tonight is Jimmy Snuka. I have heard that Diamond Dallas Page (another name that was bandied about) will not be appearing at the PPV, but is open to something down the line. Management is banking on AJ Styles and Petey Williams to go all out and have a classic match tonight. I'm hopeful of seeing that myself.

From 1Bob: "Elix Skipper was taken by ambulance to a local hospital in Orlando following the Last Man Standing match vs AMW at TNA's Victory Road PPV. Skipper suffered what is thought to be a concussion early in the match and was disjointed and unaware of his surroundings throughout the remainder of the match. Backstage after the match he didn't remember anything that had happened during the match."

PWI's recap didn't make it sound that bad. I guess we'll see.

I'd have thought that would be a good thing. Nevermind, Savage is out.

    So how's the match going?

Probably a bit less...they need some time at the end for their angle shit to go down. I was including time for the angle. Which will probably see Hardy relegated to the background while Jarrett stands center stage, with Hall and Nash behind him. I bet at least one other guy shows up, if not two...

AMW vs. XXX in a last man standing match. How hard can it be to NOT fuck that up? We just need a crazy brawl around the building, some blood, some chair and table spots...how could it have been THAT bad?

Keller gave it negative one star. And he's usually GENEROUS with stars. That is a BIG disappointment.

Keller gave Petey vs. AJ *** and timed it at 9:49. Now THAT'S where the time devoted to the minis and the 8-man tag should have gone.
