Damn. Just because they're partners doesn't mean they're gay.

Did anyone see this yet? Good or bad, without spoilers? I'm going to watch it on Sunday. The theatres are full of shit. You can't buy more than one ticket for a rated R movie unless you're 21.

Because the Suns, Spurs, and Mavs say hi. In the East he'll have a better shot.

I blocked my principal in the senior/faculty basketball game!

Something I was discussing with a friend earlier...
Brett Favre replied to Fuzzy Dunlop's topic in Sports
I think that through the season and the playoffs you grow to love the players no matter how long they've been there, although it's always a little sweeter when they've been there for a while. -
And that's why I said it depends on what the Bulls offer. Any offer will have to include Kirk Hinrich. After that it's either Gordon or Deng (probably preferably Deng), and then Noah and Thomas.
-
I think the Lakers could care less what the Bulls do. And of course that'd be fine with you. It wouldn't be fine with LA though. That doesn't even match salaries either.
-
I think they rather have Hinrich. Something like Hinrich, Deng, Thomas, and Noah.
-
It depends on what the Bulls offer. They definitely have the pieces though.

Did anyone see that vid of Papelbon dancing after they clinched the division I think it was? That shit was hilarious.

I'm definitely seeing this. I love the "No God" part. It cracks me and my brother up all the time.

Are you serious? O'Neill was a huge trade. So was Martinez and Nelson. The Knoblauch trade gave us a leadoff man. El Duque is nasty in the postseason. Brosius had some big swings. Girardi was key with the pitchers. Key was huge for the '96 team. Wells had a great winning percentage. Stanton was a key bullpen guy. Please. PLEASE! And if they weren't important acquisitions, who the hell helped us win those 4 titles?
-
They did build from within, but not totally. They had Jeter, Bernie, Posada, Rivera, Pettitte, and who else that was vital to the success in the late '90s? Look at the Yankees now with Jeter, Cano, Cabrera, Posada (if he stays), Duncan, Chamberlain, Rivera (if he stays), Pettitte, Kennedy, Hughes, Ramirez, and Phillips. For the late 90s they made shrewd trades, and had some key signings. This included bringing in (both in trade and signings), O'Neill, Martinez, Nelson, Stanton, Brosius, Knoblauch, Curtis, Raines, Girardi, Key, Clemens, Wells, El Duque, and on and on. They just need to be smart with their money.

If that's the case, I doubt he comes back.

Not all those guys will be free agents by then. At least half will sign extentions. We'd only need like 1, or 2 at most. Plus, if they decide not to go after any of them, they can always bring up Allan Horne as a starter. I don't think Rivera gets more than three. He just wants to pitch in the new stadium. I'd say 2 years around 25 million.

2009 will have all the good FA pitchers.

Damon didn't shit the bed either. He had a very good year last year, was hurt for the first part of the year this year and finished strong.

If Cashman keeps his job, they'll definitely be patient.

Beckett is a fag.

The Yankees are looking good for the future. The offense in the future will depend on the development of Austin Jackson and Jose Tabata. I wonder what they'll be looking for to sure up the bullpen.
-
I guess they're comfortable enough with Joe to not do that. Also they'd probably intervene if he has Joba pitch 150 pitches a start.

Except that A-Rod hasn't been here for like 12 years, and he's not nearing 70, and he's not the leader of the team. Look, I could see both sides, but maybe I'm not losing any sleep over a guy who made 7.5 million the past few years, and gets a paycut that actually has incentives to get him back over what he made. Since when was money based on performance a bad thing? A-Rod delivered an MVP year. It's not the same situation.
