For the greater good!
-
Biggio always just looked like a ball player. Dirty ass helmet, the eye black, and he was also good in Ken Griffey Jr. Slugfest for SNES. One of the more underrated players ever.
-
Dan Patrick would've been perfect, but with Drew Carey it's a wait and see.
-
I really doubt the Yankees are interested in Dunn. We already have two DHs. Damon and Giambi.
-
I'd really hate to see a two part movie.
-
Me too. My favorite part was Neville killing Nagini. I liked the ending, but yeah the middle dragged on, but whatever, still good. When they went into the ministry, and Harry was that big guy, and him saying all that stuff, I found pretty funny. Fred dying sucked. Mrs. Weasley killing Bellatrix was cool. Dobby and Kreacher were also good parts in the book. Mad respect for Snape!
-
I didn't know Wilson had a big contract. Everywhere you turn it's Julio Lugo sucks ass and stuff like that.
-
Sure you do. Jack Wilson is at least a good defender.
-
He's not bad. Just needs to stop playing like he's drunk. Stop turning the ball over and running down the clock, and he'll be alright.
-
Yes, now Batman gets through!

What happened to Joe Saunders?
-
The Saints are for real this time. No doubt.

Eh, they want Chamberlain for that. I heard they wanted Chamberlain and Tabata for Teixeira alone.
-
The Yankees need a bench, first baseman, and a reliever.
-
Yeah no. Steinbrenner hasn't been the same, and Cashman isn't trading any young pitchers. You think Teixeira wasn't offered for any of them yet? They are building around Wang, Hughes, and Chamberlain. Some think Chamberlain has better stuff than Hughes, so there's no way he's going.
-
If they go by service time, Hughes has exceeded 45 days on the MLB roster. 108 Ks in 74 innings for Chamberlain. Ian Kennedy meanwhile has 123 Ks in 106.2 innings. The Yankees have some damned good young pitching for once. They'll trade it away for a quick fix. Chamberlain is untouchable. Not sure about Kennedy.

Why would Bowa send Cairo with no outs? Jeremy Balkardo!

Six is cool I guess.

All the bad teams have dibs on the waiver wire, so it would actually force commitment to paying attention to your team. Looking out for call ups and all that stuff. At the end it evens out because the better teams can't really pick up the next top prospect unless they get really lucky. And look at the top teams in the league right now. There's no given formula to what wins the most games. The top 4 teams have their teams built differently, so with this it lets you decide how to build a team and put even more thought to how you want to build your team. Like VG mentioned his team last year, i'd hate to see some of those players go because you can only keep four. With this it seems more like a baseball league, and you're more of a GM, which is cool. Plus the less people you keep, the more picks you have, and the bad teams have the first picks. I think it'd be better to know before the trade deadline too. That's why i'm asking now.
-
We were going to do it like 2 years ago but then the rosters got lost and we started over. It would add some continuity to the league, since it's a keeper, and you always have the option of keeping less than 8. Teams would get options throughout the year to rebuild with young players if your team sucks, and allow you to keep all of them.
-
Are we going to go to 8 keepers? I know it was said we'd wait for a vote till after the season, but does anyone not want to go to 8 keepers?
-
The trade seems fine with me. Fielder is a bonafide keeper. That reminds me when I traded Scott Rolen, Adrian Beltre, Mark Loretta, and Brian Giles for A-Rod.
