Camby is nasty. He deserves it.

The Lakers won't win another game. They played their best basketball in a few weeks and barely won.
-
I think Ripper just saved it.
-
I'm surprised.

He pitched pretty well for his first major league start. The only guys who hit him hard were Wells and Rios. Other than that, he struck out 5 in 4 and 1/3, had a nasty curve, a pretty good changeup, and spotted his fastball well (only walked 1). He's looking good. EDIT: I love Al Leiter talking some sense into Michael Kay with some of the dumbass comments he makes. You know what i'm talking about if you listen to the broadcast.

This reminds me on something about Abreu. From just an observation standpoint, from all the players you've seen, in your opinion, where does Abreu rank among the best eye in baseball? Out of all the players i've seen bat, he definitely has the best eye i've seen. His at-bats are fun to watch, and when he strikes out swinging, it seems like he just gave away an at-bat. Probably second, behind Barry Bonds. It's funny because when I watched Abreu hit, I was reminded of the famous Bill Klem line (Klem was a HOF umpire). When a young pitcher questioned his calls while pitching to Rogers Hornsby, Klem stated, "young man, when you throw a strike Mr. Hornsby will let you know." I said the same thing jokingly about Abreu. If Abreu thought it was outside, it was. On that Giambi comment, his plan at the plate is to only swing at the first two pitches if it's in the little zone that he's focusing on.

Good news. Mike Woodson will return for another season.
-
I wouldn't mind Cousinbury on the Knicks, but he's really not better than Nate or Collins. Better distributor than Nate yeah, but Nate is better at everything else.
-
Brandan Wright and Thaddeus Young are in.
-
Kevin Harlan is severely underrated. "RIGHT BETWEEN THE EYES!"
-
I Baron Davis. Has to be in the top 10 most entertaining players in the league.
-
I'm not as upset with the last two games as I was the first, mainly because we were trotting out our 6th and 8th starters. The good thing that came out of this series was that we smacked around Boston's top 3 starters.
-
Good trade for both of us I think. I decided to trade him because I rather start Ryan Church. Looking at him today, Thomas was 2-4, so he will bounce back. I feel more comfortable with 4 solid starters, and Lowe, who's also started slow, does give you innings, and a pretty good WHIP for a guy who doesn't strikeout many batters. Best of luck with Frank Thomas.

Smith. He's more durable, didn't play in his contract year, and is still pretty young. I know Wallace is too, but he's much younger. Plus with the Bobcats getting another high impact player in the draft, I doubt Wallace will have as good a season as he had last year, especially with Morrison possibly emerging for a better year.

Farnsworth hasn't been doing good, but Bruney has already proven he can get it done in big spots. He pitched over an inning in extra innings against the A's. It's not like he was stinking it up. Opponents are hitting like .125 against him. That's why it's a little bit of a head scratcher.
-
Nothing he said was really over the top. He didn't even curse.
-
I think Acie Law will.
-
I consider myself part of the fanbase, so I disagree. From my POV, it wouldn't be funny because I didn't boo the shit out of him.
-
Not really.

I'm curious as to why Joe didn't go to Bruney in the 8th. He's been the best reliever so far this year. And I hate the situational lefty stuff. Mike Myers throws like 78 MPH. Keep Proctor in.

Still early in the season, but it was a bad lost. We smacked around Schilling, Pettitte pitched great, and we still lost.
