The Yankees selected Josh Phelps in the Rule V draft from the Os. Pretty good move for first base, since he still has some potential. They're also linked with Dustin Hermanson, trying to trade for Eliezer Alfonzo, and talked to Boras about Zito.

Hugo Chavez wins reelection in Venezuela

When you're extending oil to other countries, it's not in danger of anything. And two, it's not a documentary you're going to find on the shelf of Best Buy or anything. And three http://www.americas.org/item_26430, if you'd like to read.. -

And you haven't seen any documentaries..so we're square. But again, it's tough to get the media's attention if you're some bum on the street. Chances are, the people that were being interviewed, were pretty wealthy. I'm a capitalism wasn't working in the country so they've got to try something else type. -

Really? It's not the rich? It must be the poor people who can't afford to feed themselves that found just enough money to get a fucking airplane ticket, fly the US, buy a fucking house and give out an interview. Yes, that must be it. Oooo and no one agrees with me? Geez, I guess that makes me wrong? What the hell kind of argument is that? -

Like I said.......... The Rich People In Venezuela Hate Chavez. The media is owned by the rich, so they can throw out a bunch of crap out to the public and hope it sticks, and it's working on people like you. Unfortunately for them, the majority of the people are poor and know they are full of crap. Those people left because they are not going to be as rich. That's why they have nothing good to say about him. I need to send you a documentary or something before you tell me i'm not convincing anybody. -

There's a shitload of free speech in Venezuela. He's one of the few presidents who has a radio show that citizens can call into and state their beef/problem, whatever. Notice how those people have a bunch of money to leave Venezuela. Like I said, the upper rich ass class is pissed off at Chavez. The majority of the country is not rich. Not even close. -

The poverty rate in Venezuela was like 80% when he came into power. That's a shitload of people, and to think he could fix that this quickly is absurd. Remember, we had a President who needed extra time in office to get the job done. And whatever, whether you like him or not, it's really irrelevant. He's not the most likeable guy because he's over the top, and sometimes doesn't know when to shut up, but his cause IMO, is good and that far outweighs whatever personality he has. -

Half Venezuela, for a country that was struggling like hell, socialism isn't a bad idea, and anyway, that's really not important. I'm not making horrible arguments. Venezuela was struggling using capitalism and being somewhat tied to the US. Why the hell wouldn't you try something new? Sure, Chavez is a little over the top, but he's helping a country that's needed help for a while. -

Giving money and resources to all the countries in South America, and some cities in the US sure does look bad. What a son of a bitch. -

That's not true. They tried a fucking coup and none of the people against him (citizens) got sent to jail. If you're following the private owned t.v medias that show all the shit they can to make Chavez look bad, then you're looking at the wrong place because those people are pissed that he's going to spread the wealth around. -

Saying that living under a Chavez-controlled Venezuela is better than a Bush-controlled America is just silly. lol. Ok. The country was falling apart each day, just like the rest of South America before he came into power. South America is tired of being used by the US. Fuck that. And Chavez laughs at Bush. He called him the Devil and an alcoholic too; he ain't shy about saying anything. And for the record, he has nothing against the US. He gives cheap gasoline to all the neighborhoods that need it. He just doesn't like the dickhead of a President we have and the rest of the stupid government. Respect the power and stature of the US..he'd slap you for saying that. -
Probably like 80% of Knick fans hate Marbury, so that's really not the norm. I listen to the Stephen A. Smith show sometimes, and he changes his opinion every other day, but yeah, just like everyone else he's been down on Marbury, and rightfully so.

The US already tried assassinating him, but Chavez can't stop..won't stop. -

You're right, they were doing so well before Chavez came into power. -
I heard he's looking for a one year contract with a player option too, which is perfect. Adding Andy would give us some stability in the rotation without locking up a ton of money for many years, and in case anyone goes down, we'd still have the youngins.

What was more impressive tonight was the 15 rebounds. Good to see him produce consistently. David Lee also with a double double (20 and 11).

Good. Socialism is a good thing after each country was stinking it up. -
While the Jags didn't lose, the Dolphin lost sorta takes them out of it, because they were getting pretty close. Same wit the Chargers beating the Bills. The Jaguars have the tiebreaker, but they also have some tough teams left. The 2nd quarter was like the best quarter ever. Pennington was tearing them up left and right.

Yeah I saw it. It was also pretty funny that after the play, Steve put his arm around Nate to explain to him why that's not a good idea.
-
After the play Isiah poked him out of the huddle, then he left him in to embarrass him in front of the crowd. He said he missed a dunk in college, and Bobby Knight did the same thing. Leaving him out there in from of 20,000 to embarrass him for what he did. So yes, he does have control over the team.

Meredith is a lot to add in for a guy whos basically = to the guy you are trading for (although Bard does have more upside).

I just said something like that a minute ago. He probably wants two numbers retired after his career is over. Although its funny that he changed his number the year after losing to the Suns in the playoffs. He orignally had the number 8 because of Mike D'Antoni. Maybe he hates him now or something.
