Damn, I was going to pick Curry.

I agree with Carpenter as pitcher of the year in the NL; he arguably had the best numbers. I pronounce it "NAYFE" (naiwf). Not that I say it outloud, but you know.
-
He sucked early in the year; I think he's pitching in the minors.
-
Whatever, if it has some legs a few days later, you know where it came from.
-
On SNY over here, they talked about Rodriguez and Matsui for Guerrero and Weaver.

Are you kidding me? There is no way the Yankees are going to bring back A-Rod unless they exhaust every possible deal out there and can't work something out. There were rumors flying that Steinbrenner could put A-Rod on irrevocable waivers just to send a message (highly unlikely, but then again this is the man who might fire Joe Torre). I think Al hit the nail on the head. The White Sox deal makes a ton of sense for both teams, and that's probably the best deal out there unless Anaheim offers Wood and Santana. Exactly, they aren't going to just give him away. And if they bring in Pinella, that's more of a reason as to why they'd keep him, because he's in very good terms with him.
-
Which is why you have to get more for him than just Wood and Santana. You can't trade away Rodriguez for a guy who has a chance of not panning out, and a starter. I don't see how that's a big rip.
-
The Yankees aren't going to be desperate. They'll move him if they get fair value.
-
It's pretty much what they were going to give for Tejada. It's not that much of a stretch, a high level prospect and a starting pitcher. What do you think we're taking, Mike Napoli and Darin Erstad? Last I heard, A-Rod was better than Tejada.
-
If Rodriguez gets traded to Anahiem, it's starting with Ervin Santana and Brandon Wood.
-
Yeah that sounded bad. Rodriguez for Ervin Santana, Chone Figgins, Scot Shields and Brandon Wood?
-
Crazy stat I heard yesterday; Since 1958, the Yankees haven't won a world series when there's a republican president in office. Fucking Bush.
-
Sure, for Roy Halladay.
-
Isn't Aramis Ramirez horrible at third? I don't want that.
-
Derrek Lee wouldn't be on the Cubs anymore if Rodriguez is traded there.
-
I should've known this was going to be the ALCS. The Yankees don't advance to the ALCS unless it's they're going to play the Red Sox, and vice versa. Seems like the new rule.
-
Torre not being the manager is weird. Maybe we do need a new voice, I don't know. The players looked uninspired. But not seeing Torre in the dugout is surreal.
-
Shut up.

I think he was drafted by Boston, traded to Portland, then traded to Minny.
-
WTF? Stop rooting for my team.

THEY WON NINETY-FIVE GAMES That doesn't matter in New Yawk. Most fans would have had you believe the Yankees were playing the Devil Rays' A affiliate. I'm telling you, people were calling up WFAN and asking what day the parade was scheduled for so they could be sure to take the day off to celebrate. Almost every Yankees fan I know personally was already counting this year as # 27 before the postseason even started. Granted, I didn't have high expectations for Detroit, but at the same time no other team's fans are that arrogant. Hell, the Mets are up 2-0 and I still don't know if we'll get by LA. The most confident person on the Yankees winning it all was you. Please don't throw it all on us. Second, Kenny Rogers, jeez. Great outing. And our season falls on Jaret Wright. Go Jaret.
