    NFL - Week One.

First Santana Moss, now LaMont Jordan; I miss those guys.

Voting for Jeter doesn't mean he doesn't deserve it. Santana definitely should get consideration, but this exuses for Jeter stuff makes no sense. He's having an MVP type season on the best team in the league. Just like A-Rod won it last year. Best numbers on a playoff team. And I haven't even said Jeter should win it, so before anyone jumps on me "OHH YANKEE HOMER!", I thought that should be mentioned.

The most valuable player in the league should definitely be on a good team. Think about it. He's the most valuable to a medicore team? How does that make him the best person to make most valuable, if his value isn't good enough to make them a good team. Yes, I know, everyone sucks ass around him, but it comes with the territory. That's why it's always been rare to see a losing team field a most valuable player. He's he most valuable to his team? Yes. Is he the most valuable player in the league? No, because his value didn't get them in the playoffs.

Because being valuable to a losing team makes no sense. The Red Sox do have a very good defensive team though, and its not like Lowell, Youkilis, Pena/Nixon, and Loretta are horrible hitters. They are all above average hitters. You make it sound like you had the Kansas City Royals around him. You traded a bit of offense for defense. Doesn't make your team worse.

Well sure, now they're a poor team, but before the collapse, they were a pretty good team for most of the year. I agree, he's a good candidate for the award, but if he doesn't win, it's not because they tried to screw him over. Each player has advantages over others. Him being a DH hurts him for one.

That came out of left field. He did fail to mention that he has Ramirez batting right behind him, who is a better hitter than anybody on the whole Yankee team.

    DivX/Real Player/Frames

Works perfectly on the DivX player. Good shit guys.

    NFL - Week One.

Nugent missing 2 FGs and an extra point nearly cost us the game, but Chad Pennington went crazy in the final drive. 23-16 over the Titans, good start, especially the offense; surprised me a bit.
  9. If players were regulated to being on one team forever, we'd have a worse case of the same winner every single year.
  10. Yeah I know, but thats one game. I know it was the most important game of the year, but he always busted his ass. Thats where most of the love comes from. Well that and hitting a bunch of 3s...and fighting with Reggie, and dunking on Jordan. The guy did it all.
  11. Even more than Zo? I hate Zo. Starks played with crazy ass heart, and seeing how everyone liked Ewing, I just liked his sidekick more I guess.
  12. Pretty much geographical for me, but maybe a little reason for each..the Yankees because Paul O'Neill is my favorite player of all time, the Knicks because I really liked John Starks, and the Jets because I liked Keyshawn Johnson.

John Kruk > Steve Phillips though. Not that that's saying much, but still.

Why the hell is it so hard to meet people...

Well, it's like my second week and college, and I already see the same thing. I have a few friends from high school around, so it's not so bad, but everyone seems serious and to themselves more during classes. No one speaks to each other, makes jokes like they use to. Being an adult seems boring.

Same thing is happening with me with Posada. And Randy Johnson too.

    1st day of College...

It was my 1st day of college for myself a few days ago as well. It seems like high school, with a lot more serious people, and more walking around. I know it's early as hell, but the work doesn't look bad at all. Not the way my high school teachers were going on about 10 page papers. I also have to take a bus, and a train. About the schedule stuff, I tried scheduling for a four day weekend, but ended up with one class on Mondays. Good looking schedule.

Rodriguez just hit another home run. Two A-Bombs in two days.
  19. If we're talking about college players, I'd like to see Joakim Noah on the team. That's the big guy you need.

This is the NFL Preseason Thread

The Jets and Seahawks have no problem taking him. But what the Pats want is pretty unreasonable (2 first rounders?!).

    NBA Offseason Thread

..and last year they still played a shitload of minutes with less people, and still made if far. You don't seem to understand that they have more depth with Amare, therefore they will get a less tired Marion, and Diaw come playoff time. Not that it mattered last year anyway. And Amare playing doesn't mean Diaw can't still put up good numbers. JJ and Q averaged over 16 points a game, while Amare average 26 two years ago, so what makes you think Diaw can't score himself?

    NBA Offseason Thread

Raja Bell is a better shooter than Q, and the emergence of Boris Diaw is changing the NBA. Plus Barbosa is better, and Banks is a good scorer. KT is also a better post defender than anyone on that '05 team.

    Diddy and 50 Beef...

More like 4 years ago, but I agree. But I also agree with Carlito..if you don't care for this, don't post. It's like a bunch of walking contradictions over here. And it's not like people post amazing topics in the music folder anyway; it's like 3 topics a month.

Or Duncan's ankle, or Shaq's age, or Wade getting thrown down every single play. Everyone has their fair share of possible problems, not just Phoenix. Amare looked good in the summer league, and Nash was still going strong late in the playoffs last year.
