..then you're not a fan.

^^ ? Is that directed at me?

The Yankees dominated half the game. We're sorry we didn't decide to to leave our two cents on this page, and then hear you guys complain about too many Yankee comments. And being a Met fan makes you a better fan? I don't quite understand. The Mets were the most popular team in the 80's, so it's not like you're rooting for the Colorado Rockies here.

Well thats true. Butler was a good find. Jerome James messed all of this up, he's Isiah's worse move by far. Nothing you can do about that now though, so Butler pretty much had to go because of it. Denver seems to be deseperate now (in moving Martin), and I don't really want Martin, unless they take something like Jerome James, Malik Rose, and Q-Rich together (we take back like Najera I guess). Then we can just sign Paul Miller who was in the SL games as a backup center.
-
Who long will it take to grow it all back? And Isiah didn't match Jackie Butler, because it was going to cost 14 million. You don't need a third string center when you already have Channing Frye, who can play some center for some minutes.

For this, it sucks that Steve Nash is Canadian. It would have been nice to see him run with LeBron. Is Mike D'Antoni one of the assistant coaches?
-
Chris Paul had a great year. Should have been an all-star. 16, 8, and 5 and over 2 steals a game (led the league in total steals), for a 6'0 rookie PG isn't just a "good" year.
-
Last year was like his 2nd full year, and his time is up? Frank plans better than Jordan, and runs better offensive plays than him as well. He's a better defensive coach too, as evidenced by how many points they allow compare to the Wizards.
-
Lawrence Frank is a better coach than Jordan though.

What program would you like to see ME Raw?

Cena isn't over? Are we really going back to this again? I'd try a Cena vs. DX feud, and let the fans decide who they want to cheer for. It'll probably be DX, but I think once Cena starts acting a bit heelish (since its against DX), they'll start cheering for him. -
Well thats why I don't understand why Ron Artest didn't get invited.

There's no reason for Bowen when most international teams don't revolve their offense around one player (unless its something like Dirk in Germany). Who is he going to stop? Bowen is a waste of roster space for this type of tournament.

Well he did say offseason. Speaking of trades, http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/story/434475p-366047c.html, the Yankee farm system isn't that bad anymore, so a trade is possible. Gillick likes Delluci, so he would replace Abreu if he were traded.

Look out everyone! Czech's trying to be humorously relevant! Please show me where Red Sox fans at TSM have pulled that crap that I bolded. And for reference, the weekly baseball threads have been non-stop Bruiser bitching about the Cubs moreso than any Red Sox fan who happens to bring something up. But I wouldn't expect you to know that. You'd actually need to have a grasp on what you're talking about to know that. Maybe you weren't posting these trades, but all those four way trades involving Manny, like 29 of them, were getting tiresome.

Isiah wanted to shed payroll last year, but crazy Larry wanted more players. Plus with Dolan now taking notice, the Knicks are in good position for 2009-2010 (if they don't add salary), so all the trades they make from now till then, should be looked at closely to see if they are taking any money past that year.
-
Al Harrington has narrowed down the teams to three. The Warriors, Pacers, and Knicks. With the ban lifted, the Hawks are allowed to sign and trade for multiple year deals.
-
The first penalty call that allowed France to get their only goal was bullshit anyway; as much as they dominated, they didn't score after that. And the trophy is that small because it's made of real gold. If i'm not mistaken, I don't think the Stanley Cup or the World Series trophy are made of real gold.
-
Funny you mention Giambi, who's totals are 26 and 68, and has a higher OBP, SLG, and OPS than David Ortiz. So if he wins it, not really a mistake there. Not that it was a mistake last year either, anyway.
-
Joe Torre's never been this bad, has he? I'll always remember Torre for picking five shortstops (Jeter, A-Rod, Tejada, Vizquel, and Garciaparra) because they all deserved a spot. That was cool.

Channing Frye went Kobe this offseason; gaining 17 pounds.
-
Joel Pryzbilla is staying with Portland, for five years, and 32 million (with a player option).

I'll believe it when I see it. I have been hearing that shit for 2 years now. They've been offering Tyrus Thomas for two years now? The T'Wolves are high on him.
