The Bulls are trying to get KG. They're offering Luol Deng, Tyson Chandler, and Tyrus Thomas.
-
I forgot about Pele, and so did everyone else here. Have to say Ruth, Jordan, Ali, and Pele. If not Pele, then Owens.
-
Joel Pryzbilla would be better for Detroit than Mohammed. Mohammed is a good rebounder, but can't defend for shit, and blocks maybe one shot a game. He's better on offense than Pryzbilla, but that's not what you need. Pryzbilla is one of the better shot blockers in the NBA. Don't know if it was posted or not, but the Pistons signed Nazr Mohammed.
-
Damn, Tyrus Thomas and Ben Wallace? Thats like the greatest 1-2 defensive combination ever. The Pistons need a center? How about Eddy Curry for Tayshaun Prince?
-
I don't think it's going to happen, but you forgot Lamar Odom there. I know, I know, you want to make a point of the Knicks making bad trades, whatever.
-
Laker fans, have you guys heard any Odom and McKie for Francis and Frye rumors?
-
Marco Killingsworth is on the Knick SL team.
-
John Sterling probably said that the ball went a "Green" mile.
-
An A-Bomb from A-Rod puts the Yankees in front 6-4. I don't know why it took Willie so long to warm somebody up.
-
Giambi got snubbed too then. His numbers are up there, nearly if not as good as Hafner's. Man, no Schilling, no Moose, no Hafner, no Liriano, no Mekhi Phifer.
-
Mike Mussina got snubbed. Seriously, with a 3.17 ERA? 9-3 record? Come on.
-
Mo Williams will probably play the point now.
-
Good trade for both teams.

I guess any of the three guards would have been fine if Isiah was looking to trade some of the guards we already have. But it doesn't look like that's going to happen, so maybe it was the best pick. I like what I see from the highlights they've shown, and Isiah does have good history with picking players, so lets see what happens. Oh and since Parcells, the Jets have been alright at the draft.
-
I liked the Collins pick because hes not turnover prone, can rebound, can play the point, has size and can defend. They need to get rid of Francis and one or two of Richardson, Crawford, and Marbury. Atleast Robinson will be able to play more with Collins because of his size. As for Balkman, definitely not at 20. Although i'm curious to see him run with Robinson and David Lee. And why did they pick the most retarded Knick fans to speak on the mic? They had two idiots screaming into the mic, making us look even worse.
-
How can you pick Renaldo Balkman when you have fucking Marcus Williams, fucking Kyle Lowry, and fucking Shannon Brown on the board? I don't give a shit if we have 20 guards, you always pick talent over need. We ended picking up another guard anyway in Mardy Collins (nice pick), but still would've preferred one of the three mentioned above, and someone else at 29. Isiah's reasoning was that Phoenix was going to pick him. He says that once Balkman was picked, Phoenix traded out because that's who they wanted. Yet, the Arizona Republic says Phoenix wanted out of the first round after Carney was picked. Isiah better be telling the truth on this, although it's pretty doubtful. Balkman was a 2nd round pick at best in most if not all boards. I liked the Mardy Collins picked because he can defend three positions, and can play some point, but I still would have preferred Brown, Williams, or Lowry. It's disappointing.

In my lifetime I've seen my teams win the equivalent of the "pennant" 4 times as the Knicks lost in the Finals twice, the Mets lost the Subway Series and the Ravens raped my Giants. Those 4 seasons weren't any more successful than all of the other times they didn't win the title. Ask Bills fans or players if they'd rather have 1 ring or 4 2nd place finishes. Pennants don't really mean much besides a flag somewhere in the stadium. No one takes pride in chanting "We're # 2! We're # 2!" for a reason. That's because 2nd place....is first loser.

I like Jalen Rose. He's a good scorer, and passer. But he can't defend for shit. I don't mind him on the team, but hes probably going to get traded.
-
Dolan said himself, Larry called for Rose and Francis, and two weeks later, he wanted them out. And on two different occasions, Isiah offered a deal to another GM, and the GM said that he'd consider it, but your coach made an even better offer. It seems like Larry wanted and took more control than what was given to him, which is why he was fired. Isiah is getting one year for some improvement. What Dolan said: "The policy is clear: you do not communicate to your fellow employees through the press.... we made that absolutely clear to Larry, he agreed to it, understood it, took training on how to follow the policy, and did not follow the policy at all. That was one thing." "Also, we couldn't get the coach to focus on coaching. The coach was focusing on being the president and general maneger. We had several situations where Isiah was negotating with GMs of other teams, was making an offer to that GM, and the GM said "look, I normally wouldn't do this, but I already have a better offer from your coach. " That happened once during the season, and once after the season. He needed to let the GM do his job, and we tried to get him to do that... but we couldn't get him to stop. That was another thing." "Larry said, 'I'm dying to have (Jalen), I have to have this player.' He told me 'I'm begging you to take Steve.' Both times, we did it, we agreed to it. Less that 4 weeks later, we have Larry saying, 'These players are no good, you gotta get rid of them.' Those two moves cost the organization 80 million dollars."

They're probably going to draft a guard too, and I would myself, because all the big men in the draft suck. He's already shopping Richardson, and he'll probably trade Francis too.
-
I guess its pretty much a choice between Diaw and Marion. And they prefer Diaw if this trade goes through.
-
The rumored trade right now is Shawn Marion, Leandro Barbosa, and the 27th pick for Rashard Lewis, Danny Fortson, and the 10th pick. Basically, it seems like Barbosa wants his new contract to start at 7 or 8 mill, and the Suns want to save up money to sign Boris Diaw. They trade Marion, whos making max to make some room, and take back Lewis who'll fill in for now, Fortson, who is an expiring, and take a rookie player who'll be paid rookie money for 4 years (looks to be Rodney Carney or Ronnie Brewer). The Sonics meanwhile get the best player in the trade, and Barbosa who I guess will be the backup SG, with Ridnour and Watson already taking care of the PG duties, and also get a draft pick. I guess its a decent trade for both teams.

Isiah would be a pretty good scout. He can find talent, but he has trouble doing everything else.
-
Damn, how were they heels in 1999?
