    NBA Conference Finals

Congrats to the Mavs. They were the best team all year really. And the Suns are probably the toughest team in the NBA IMO. I can't think of a team who's made it this far without their best player (or best player 1-A), and only pretty much played like 6-7 players a night in the playoffs. Good year, and I'll be rooting for them to make it next year with Amare.

1971. I think they said it was Milwaukee and Baltimore.

He was faked, and nearly busted his own ass. Not intentional.

What can the Pistons do if Williams doesn't miss a shot, and Wade makes like fadeaway shots with like 3 people on him?

Since you're always complaining about the Suns complaining to the refs, naiwf, why don't you give Dirk his due, who got taunted by Tim Thomas yesterday for doing the same shit throughout the whole series. If theres a guy who complains now more than ever, its him.

If Channing Frye wasn't given up for Artest or Odom, I think we'll pass up on Sheed. Interesting trade for Villanueva there.

I agree, but I think you're over exaggerating the problem. It's not that bad.

The Spurs and Suns are two of the five or six best teams in the league and both play the clutch and flop. The Pistons way of playing ball won't work anymore and Dallas and Miami are where they are because they excel on both ends of the floor. If the Suns win the title this year, trust me when I tell you a lot of undersized teams will model themselves after the Suns. Pro sports are all about copying what worked. There's a reason the NBA nearly died from 75 points being enough to win any game. Why bother wasting energy playing defense when you can just run up and down on offense and fall down whenever someone moves towards the basket on defense? That brand of basketball will kill the need for any kind of big men who can't run up and down the court, and there's no reason to have guys like Shaq or Yao on your payroll if they can't guard a 6'8 "center" who can shoot well on one end of the court and fall over whenever they get posted up. So is this what the Knicks/Heat did, or the Suns are doing? You mixed both of them up. And if both played the same way, why would one score like 30 more points than the other? Try making your point clear. Are you still in Junior High? I mean, anyone with basic reading comprehension could see that I was talking about two different trends. The first of which was streetball, the second of which is the Suns and Spurs just diving around the court. Seriously bro, learn to comprehend pretty simple arguments. If you take the sentence before the one you bolded I fucking spelled it out for you. Sports teams copy what works. Back in the day it was throwing guys on the other team to the floor on defense, now it's throwing yourself to the floor on defense. I understand the monkey see monkey do stupid. What you're also saying is that the Knicks/Heat style nearly killed the NBA, yet the Suns are doing the opposite, and thats also going to kill the NBA. So what will keep the NBA alive?

Yes, so why did the NBA almost die when teams did the opposite, which is the Knicks/Heat way? Will it die both ways?

The 75 points thing, and the running up and down the court thing are like opposite things. I don't understand your point.

'99 was a very fun year.

You're exaggerating. And the Knicks and Heat? Are you kidding me? They scored like 75 points a game. There's no way its anything like that. You seem to be the only one that talks about this as if its anywhere near that.

    NBA Conference Finals

Come on now. You're basically saying, a few posts back, that the reason they're this far is because of flopping and jersey grabbing? Do you know how much jersey grabbing there is in an NBA game? And for a team as small as the Suns, i'm pretty sure there are a lot of over the backs on them that aren't called, but no, only the Suns, Ginobili, and Bruce Bowen cheat.

Lowry's penetration is much better than Williams', allowing him to be a better passer.

We'll glady swap Pavano for him.

I actually think Lowry's attitude is what will make him a better player. He's the type of guy that plays hard on every possession, making him almost like the anti-Rudy Gay. His defense will keep him in the league, as well as his pass first point guard mentality. Marcus Williams can't defend like him, and when it comes to passing, he's nearly as good, if not already as good as Marcus. The only thing Marcus has over him is his scoring ability.

The guy with the most upside at the position though, would have to be Kyle Lowry. Rajan Rondo is up there too.

    X-Men 3

I liked this movie. Some screwed up shit with all those people dying, and really Cyclops was so misused in the whole series. Anyway, I enjoyed the movie, just didn't like some of the stuff already mentioned, but I'm looking forward to an X-Men 4 (although I really think it's over), with the introduction of Apocalypse, Mr. Sinister, and Gambit, although that ain't happening. Alteast Apocalypse would make Angel stronger.

LOL. The Suns are playing without KT, Raja Bell, and Amare. They are basically playing like 6 men, and you're comparing them to a team as deep as the Mavericks, and overcoming the odds? Shut it man. The Suns need to get back to taking care of the ball, and hitting some 3s. Don't know what happened today.

If Iggy doesn't think it hit the rim, then damn thats a horrible call. Screwed up officiating right there.

There was a huge FT difference, so I wouldn't say it was called completely even. Phoenix got some shots they wanted, they just gotta knock them down.
