Call up Eric Duncan. Last I heard, he was doing great in the minors. Phillips is good defensively, but Giambi sucks when he's a DH, so I don't know if its the best decision to DH him. They need to look into finding pitching, and maybe they can move Cano to the outfield for a short time period, and have Cairo start at 2nd. Or just have Cairo play the outfield.

I think hes in NBA Jam. That's the only thing I know about him.
-
No need for a cellphone ban. That's just overboard. Theres a difference between them being a MAJOR distraction, and people just not liking them.
-
Woa I dunno if it's an insult. I agree with the Oscar Robertson comparison, but Pippen was one of the best defenders ever.
-
That's not what makes LeBron so special though. His rebounding, and passing is what makes him similar to Scottie. I'm not saying he's going to play 2nd fiddle, but he does so much more. I know Jordan was an all-around player himself, but not the way Scottie was, and the way LeBron is and can be.
-
Blanton had a horrible start last year as well, didn't he? Give him a bit of time.
-
I think theres a chance that LeBron will become the Scottie Pippen player, in the sense that he'll be the one that rebounds, defends, and distributes more than the other guy who'll be more like the scorer that Jordan was (not saying as good a scorer, but like more of a scoring role). LeBron is like a Pippen type of offensive player, and has the ability to be somewhat close to what Pippen was on the defensive end.

I think Lance Berkman is underrated. He puts up monster numbers every year, and the team is probably the best in the National League whenever he's healthy.
-
Did anyone see that catch a Japanese player (didn't catch his name) made that robbed a HR? He climbed on top of the wall, leaned over and caught it. Amazing play.
-
What's this all about? Sasha must be very annoying.
-
If Marbury gets some playoff wins, he's not too far off. He has great numbers.
-
Jeter puts up great numbers every year.
-
It's not a who has more awards award, its a season award. Just so happens he was most valuable these past 2 seasons. Just because people screwed up on Shaq in the past, doesn't mean they should with Nash.
-
That was a well called game. No problem with any of the last possessions.
-
That sounds fun. I'd like to play that now.

Kobe got all the nice publicity for winning Game 4; theres no reason as to why, a guy whos the "leader" of the team, shouldn't get some criticism for not playing up to his full capabilities in Game 7.
-
HAHAHA.. are you fucking serious? No really, is that serious post? That has got to be the dumbest fucking thing I've ever read in my entire life. I'm actually embarassed for you. You are analyzing Kobe Bryant far too much dude. Let it all out.
-
Thats the thing. He's a good teammate when they're winning, and he's suddenly not there when they're not. I still don't like the head thing; to me it's condescending.
-
Kinda funny that Mayorga wouldn't shut up all the way to the fight, and loses in the 6th round. Curious to see what he says now.
-
Let them have their moment. You don't need to tell us you're the leader by doing that all the time.
-
But look at what he does during the games. Grabs players (teammates) heads and makes himself seem bigger than thim. Every time a teammate makes a big play, a nice high five will do. Don't try and show us your the leader by taking them by the side, and start grabbing their heads, and start whispering in their ear. And then he says what he says to Raja Bell, and continues...he is an arrogant individual.
-
Secondly, theres a difference between celebrating with your teammates, and celebrating by yourself, and chanting MVP with the crowd?! I'm not even going with the Nash/MVP debate. Well, i'll be quick. 3 different starters, all having career years, won over 50 games when people expected much lower with Amare out, and his numbers upped from last year. Trust me, if Kobe was really really trying out there, there is no way in hell hes not taking more shots. You're in denial if you think so. Kobe wasn't saying the right things before this game. Saying Bell was a nobody, and that he can score on him whenever he wanted to. I wonder if Nash would say the same thing about Smush Parker. Steve Nash is a better teammate, better team player, and is heading to the next round. You can live in the past, and how Kobe won 3 rings with Shaq, whatever. Give me the guy who won't make me feel inferior, and the guy who won't defer to me just to save his ass.
-
Well, I was trying to be nice by comparing how the media gets on Marbury for not passing enough and not shooting enough, but hey you know what..Kobe got exactly what he deserved. Showboating like an idiot after Game 4 doesn't look so good now. Theres a reason he didn't win MVP, and its because like situations like these. When things are going great, hes a great teammate. Suddenly when they're losing, he passes it off so he doesn't get much blame. Now he can say "hey, I was playing team ball, not my fault." Carry the team on your back like you say you can do. Score on Raja Bell anytime like you say you can do. Don't make stupid comments like that, then get blown out by like 30. Then you see Steve Nash after the game, talking about how great Barbosa is, not showing off, just saying the right things. You say I shouldn't be comparing Marbury to Kobe? Don't ever compare Kobe as a player, teammate, talent, whatever, to Steve Nash. After this series, Steve Nash > Kobe. Thats the type of guy i'd like on my team.

Welcome to Marbury's world.
