    Best/Favorite Games of 2005

    1. Jets/Chargers - Wild Card - The Jets, playing on Penningtons torn rotator cuff, have the lead in SD, with like 30 seconds left, and are about to have a goal line stand. On 4th down, Brees throws it away and Barton clocks him to give the Chargers second life. They score, head to OT, and are about to win the game. Nate Kaeding misses the FG, we come back, a pass to Santana for a first. Pass to McCariens for a first. Jordan breaks out a 30 yard run, setting up Doug Brien for the win. 2. Gonzaga/Michigan State - Probably a top 5 college game of all time. Triple OT, nuff said. 3. Knicks/Sixers - Knicks down for like the 1st half, then explode in the 2nd half, and end up taking the lead. Up 2 in the 4th, and Webber gets a putback to tie the game and send it to OT. In OT, the Knicks are up 3, and Iverson hits a 3 pointer to tie the game with like 5 seconds. This sets the stage for Marbury getting the ball to Nate Robinson who hits the game winning 3 pointer at the buzzer. 4. Knicks Bulls - Knicks down the whole game, start the 4th quarter off with like a 13-0 run to take the lead, which included one of the better dunks of the year by Trevor Ariza. 5. Giants/Broncos, the ending was pretty exciting.

Well, atleast he tries on D. And we do need a SF badly. Well him or Rudy Gay, take your pick.

You know, this wouldn't be so bad if we had our 1st round pick. Pick Adam Morrison and bam, we're back in business. It all makes it much worse that our only pick in the 1st round comes from the... Spurs.
  5. I was going to vote for Czech.

    Violence IS the answer?

Sometimes giving people dirty looks is enough (although this drunk guy didn't seem to care). That's what I do when my teammates stink in a basketball game, although not intentionally. I just hate to lose.

Is Dotel going to be ready to pitch by the start of the year, or what? I like this signing, over who I thought was going to be Julian Tavarez. Phew.

Well, if he were sitting still not acting like he did throw the bottle, i'm sure Artest would have thought it was someone else.

I'm not saying he couldn't have done anything else, and it was his last resort, but I could UNDERSTAND why he would do this, and i'm sure that if I was in the same situation, maybe 5 times out of 10, I would do the same thing Ron did. Now, I can't say the same thing for Magic. He wasn't provoked, and I can't understand or rationalize what he did.

Ron. Artest. Did. Not. Hurt. Anyone. That. Didn't. Provoke. Him. He didn't just start fighting for no reason. Even the guy he wrongfully accused was jumping up and down like a jackass.

Unprovoked violence? He was provoked. Violently attacking? He didn't even punch the guy. You make it sound like he left him all bloody and shit. Lets get the facts straight. He jumped over the scorer's table, pushed the guy down, and then everyone else came in. On the court some guy tried to fight him, so what else would he do but fight back? And you're saying that's a violent attack? Magic on the other hand had sex parties, sex with a shitload of women, got aids, but it's all good because he didn't hurt your adultery loving ass.

A better question, has Ron Artest hurt anybody? When someone throws something at you, it's quite natural to feel a little pissed. And when people have been taunting you all game, and you're tired as fuck, and someone thinks its cool to throw something at you, gee, I wonder how i'll react. Just because you recieve death threats every week doesn't make you any better of a person. They aren't throwing things at you. They aren't screaming at you for 2 hours a day. I'm not saying is right, but compared to something that is a choice you made without having someone seriously provoke you is stupid. You decided to have CHILDREN with this women, and you go out and have sex with a shitload of other women. Add to the fact that you got a virus, endangering your life, and the life of your family because hey, you might die. Screwing up the life of people around you is worse than attacking some guy who decided to throw something at you, or smashing a freaking camera.

Artest hasn't come close to killing anyone. Magic on the other hand... I can't believe you're arguing this. You make it sound like Artest is a serial killer. If someone threw a bottle at me, yes I would attack them back. Why would someone throw a bottle at anyone? Who are they to do that? But cheating on your wife is okay, because hey, it doesn't hurt me. And if he brings a disease back with him, more power to him!

Artest had that one incident where he felt he needed to beat the shit out of someone he thought that person threw a bottle at him. Now tell me where this threatens your safety? Secondly, smashing a video camera compared to cheating on your wife. Gee, I don't know. Third, Ron Artest is charitable as hell. He gave his entire first year salary to his neighborhood. He's one of the nicest people out there when he isn't pissed off, and does give back to where he came from. Last, the fact that you are in any way defending cheating on your wife, and RATIONALIZING it, says a lot about the type of person you are.

Oh my bad. Magic Johnson did the right thing. Good job Magic, cheating on your wife to satisfy your needs. Job well done. Are you serious?

I'd say putting your wife at risk after cheating on her with like a hundred women is worse than assaulting some jackass fans.

Artest is right about Magic Johnson. Who the hell does Magic think he is?
